You know, I wonder how Nathan would react if Ventus went up to them and gave them a knife made out of that dead Klink (whether he knows about this fact or not), telling them its for them to defend themselves with if need be. Ven may not be that fond of Nathan, but he'll still look out for their wellbeing to an extent, so giving them a weapon to stick it to someone would be in line with his character!

True, could these parts of the now dead Klink actually be crafted into a Metal Coat, maybe in a similar process and with a particular move like back the when a King's Rock has been crafted with the help of Valder's Piloswine? That'd put these parts into a more useful use than burning it with a Numel would be. Though burning metal sounds pretty epic on its own.

I mean, kill Pokemon to survive or food is one thing. But kill Pokemon just for fun or only because your like and the same to not feel empathy... for me it's a good thing. Heart might feel uncomfortable if Ventus tell what he did.

There's an entire Sinnohese myth based around this.  It didn't end very well for the human that was the subject of the story (it didn't end super badly either, but...).

Moral of the story was basically only take what you need, not what you desire, and respect even the lives that you do take.

Creshire follows most of that idea, but the respect for pokemon in the region is enough that they would only kill as a last resort.  Most Creshirean meals/dishes are vegan in nature.

*Shrugs* Ven may be empathetic and fairly generous/helpful, but he's far from a saint. He'll try to be respectful of Pokémon and not unnecessarily brutalize them, but he's not disinclined to being ruthless and outright monsterous in his dealing with them if warrented. He knows that Sinnohian myth as Cynthia told him about it once in a conversation of there, and he believes in the moral of the story for the most part, but even he acknowledges that sometimes their are extenuating circumstance that make following such creeds irrelevant, or that sometimes desires/wants can be allowed to supercede beyond what is or isn't needed.

Speaking of Cheshire dishes, Ven's likely going to start catching and gutting Fish Pokémon in the future for his meals, and maybe start hunting other Pokémon with his Pokémon to sastify that craving of meat of his. He won't tell Nathan about the non-Magikarp/Fish Pokémon hunting, though! Expect him to also bring up hunting with Charmeleon and Grid in the future soon, as he's not going to let that go after he saw/felt Charmeleon's reaction.
