(Oh. I assume Nathan left whiel Shiva was pondering over Ventus' offer to kill Druddigon, so he didn't hear her speaking about that. Probably better this way...?)


Ehhh... Alright, watching Nathan leave caused Shiva to frown and ask herself at what point things escalated enough to end in such way, but currently she has other problems and she doen't want to be stressed to leave the place. She DOES want to leave, but for a different reason and she needed a few moments to catch up her breath and actually stand up. Shiva felt like any threath and danger in this cave has been taken care of now and Ven was right that they had several Pokemon out to defend and alert them if needed.

Telling him that he was a help with Heal Pulse was probably pointless in this moment, doubtful that he'll even hear it. So in the end, she shakes her head mentally and silently agreed Ventus to his sentiment of going ahead. (She wished he wouldn't stare at her like like that though) That left her only with Heart, his Pokemon and Furret by her side. That also means that Azumarill came out again, accompanying Shiva on the remaining way!

"Furret, dear one, come. We'll get going then as well. Can we, Heart? Hehe... And...thank you... I know it was....risky, but I had to do it alone. For all the Furret and for myself." She gave him a weak playful punch on the shoulder for his sentiments of 'important friends'. ^^

Heart smile back to Shiva with the playtfu punch. "Let's go is alright to me! Can't wait to finally head Cress City." Heart return Gustav and bring his Patrat. "Also Shiva, meet Patrat. I have meet a clan of Patrat lead by a powerful Watchog. We have a spar and we befriend each other. This little guy is the youngest member from the Patrat clan of Mt. Sentry. He also a Master of the move Seed Bomb, a rare move. This guy rock!" He gave the Patrar a weak punch in his shoulder.

There's not much energy left within Shiva for a joyful or energetic reaction, but she still responds to Heart and his introduction of his new Patrat. She was amused how he got one of the standard-catches for freshly-baked trainers in her homeregion, but she nejoys Watchog. "Such a cutie!~ Seed Bomb's... A Tutor move for these, probably taught by clan?, so lucky you! Take good care of him."

Shiva doesn't really feel like repeating once again that she's okay apart from the emotional aftermaths and how she thinks there won't be any threaths along the way anymore, so she just silently accepts. The day's almost over though, or so she thinks because she has lost track of time somewhat within this mountain and her cell is still not working to show her the time.

As you're wrapping up the encounter with the Druddigon, Ventus' blue-and-black Egg begins to twitch in its Fast Incubator. He steps to the side for a little solitude. Shedding black hair and eggshell, out pops a puppy-sized blue and black Pokemon! The black comes from a mane of hair that covers chest, neck, and most of its head, including its eyes!

The little guy immediately starts nomming on Ventus' fingers with a toothless mouth. He notices that despite the hair, its skin is the same temperature as the cave, which is to say a little on the cool side.

It's a dragon.

It has 3 Loyalty, 2 Happiness, and 3 Disobedience. Ability is Hustle. It only knows Tackle and Dragon Rage. If it evolves, it will learn Head Smash along with its other 0XP moves.

After suffering under Chandelure's Memento and the revelation of Shiva's near fatal (for her Pokemon) battle against Druddigon, Ventus expected and indeed welcomed the possibility of peaceful travels to Cress City, as it would give him plenty of time to 'fix' himself and plan his revengence as he cleared the path ahead. The very last thing he needed was more excitement today, so some well deserved rest was in order for him. That was not to be for the researcher, however, for soon after he made some headway he was suddenly jostled by a shaking/twitching motion to his side, causing him to sharply look in that direction thinking it was an threat, when in fact it was his Egg in the Incubator showing signs of hatching! He was briefly surprised by this, as he had almost completely forgotten that his Egg was expect to hatch today after everything that happen, and was swift to remove it from the nurturing piece of technology and lay it on the ground, crouched over it with a faint look expectant curiosity.....

 .....which shifted to 'Stunned'  when the Egg vigorously shattered and ushered forth a newborn Deino into the world! The little girl spent the first few seconds getting her balance on the ground, tottering back and forth on her little paws while also swiveling her head back/forth and sniffing the air to get a sense were she was, and where her mamma/papa was. She was a bit chilly now she was out of that stuffy Egg, and wanted to be cuddled to get warm right up!

Almost instantly she detected the subtle motion coming from Ven, and instinctively felt a strong love and tenderness coming from and to the source, and rightly assumed this to be their parent, so she waddled right over and *Chomp!* on the first thing she could get her mouth on! Which so happened to be his hand, which she happily nibbled on to get to know her.....papa? They tasted soft and like a boy, so they must be papa!

Ventus was so shocked by the fact the fact he was the father of a Deino that the blind drake happily nommed on his fingers for a full two minutes, until he snapped out of it with with a *Blink* and gently shaking his head in wonder and reveration at the sight of his child. Slowly, he reached over with his second hand and gently pried his other one out of the shadowy dragon mouth and lift them up to his face to greet them.....which result in his nose getting nibbled on next by the curious child, as she snapped her head forward to get a grip on it.

'.....Well, biting things in an exploratory manner trademark characteristic of the breed, and they are highly rambunctious too, so this is to be the expected reaction. Doesn't hurt that much at all, thankfully, but that will change in due time once she starts growing her first teeth in. Hopefully she'll learn to restrain her affections with me, or that'll be a painful period for myself as a teach her some........' Ven thought as he blinked a few more times, before he let out a low but fond chuckle as he moved his face away to get her to release his nose, a warm smile on his face and a tinkle in as he addressed his newest little angel.

"Hello there, my child. Eager to get to know me, hmm? Well, my name's Ventus Zackarieh, and I'm the one that hatched you, so you can think of me as your father. You need a name to, little one, as every child deserves one to show just how unique they are. Hmm......how about Azrael? You'll certainly be a terror when you grow up, and its a powerful title that will show all not to trifle with you, so I think its rather fitting. Do you like it?"

Another life, born under and into his care, and a highly Disobedient Dragon at that. A great responsibility.....but one that he gladly rise to the occasion. Even if though he still enervated from his ordeals and the embers of his HATE for itsmoldered within them, holding his newborn Deino breath life back into him, and made him forgot about all the bad for that moment.....

You interpartyconflict your way into Cress City.


The outer wall of Route 05 is an elaborately carved archway, not at all like the Fallen Arches. It's colorful, covered in little flags representing locations and Pokemon all over Creshire, and immaculately maintained. The city is decked out in dim, quiet lights, which exude an aura of safety. Shiva notices the mild lights cause almost no light pollution, and she can still see most stars.

The city is similar in area to Stair City, but it's clear that far less people live here. There are more streets than there are houses, with little half-lit shops or attractions. Lots of antique stores, herbalists, theatres, and that sort of thing. It's too dark to see much more.

A great towering ornate clock, the tallest building in Cress City, glows with a pale face in the shape of a Hoothoot. It strikes 9 as you arrive, and you realize it's full of actual Hoothoot trained to coo the hour. This is a massive gothic structure, with lots of spikes and dark trim. The Cathedral can be seen in silhouette behind it, covered in candles inside and out. It looks like it would take an army of Magby to light them each day, and fleets of Azurill to douse them in the morning.

The paving stones underfoot are very interesting. Mortared firmly into place within a smooth mosaic, each one has a different few icons or a symbol or a simple picture. No two are alike, and they show different amounts of wear. Nathan knows the history of this: those who feel they have a story to tell can submit a design for one side of a paving stone. They are placed in the streets until they begin to lose their readability, at which point they are transferred to the Creshire Museum. On the other side, hidden underfoot, is a very short description explaining the significance of the icons. You don't get to read those until the stone is retired, usually about 50 years - but may be less depending on the random location of the stone.

There are three Pokemon Centers, East and South and West, both rather small on the surface, though they continue underground for a little bit. These are free. Many quaint B&B are available for a similar deal as the treehouses near Wineberry. They have different themes, like romance or solitude or woodcraft.

That about wraps it up for nighttime Cress City!

I think she'd be very interested. She's going to go watch how Ventus takes care of his newborn - of another species, and from a blue egg too!
