(Speaking of the newborn, how does she react to being picked up and her name? Also, would she be interested in eating meat and/or sweets? Ven would know this, but I don't, soo....)

(Oh, and how does Raphael to react to the little baby Deino? Its a Dark/Dragon type and they are a Fairy type that has an aversion/righteous streak against them, so that's relevant to know!)

She likes tactile stimuli from her parent, so she likes being picked up. Deino in the wild eat more brutal diets as they evolve. Right now she would only eat processed/cooked meat and would prefer bread, fruit, and other healthy items. 

She doesn't know the significance of her new name, but she likes the sound of it well enough.

(Well, if Furret would be interested...also interesting that she's interested in blue eggs specifically...)

The loud *crrrrraaaack* from up ahead definitely catches Furret's attention. Was that...?

She runs off to see if it really is what she thinks it is.

And lo and behold, it is! She finds Ventus holding an egg! And a blue one at that!

She watches curiously to see what this orange haired man does. Obviously bitter tensions between him and the young man carrying her egg or not, she doesn't care.

Nathan follows soon after, not sure exactly why Furret ran off so suddenly...well, until he sees the remains of that egg shell around Ventus, a baby Deino of all things in his arms.

...he's more interested in Furret's reaction than the pokemon Ventus just hatched.

He puts on a small smile, is politely (but somewhat bitterly) quiet...there's nothing he really wishes to say right now.

Feeling a little more himself after establishing his bond wtih his little dark one, Ventus decided to cuddle her a little more and let her sniff and nibble all over his body in order for her to build picture of her papa, and simply because he wanted to share this tender loving moment with her. While he wouldn't say he was in desperate need for joy and positivity right now, it was very much appreciated with how gloomy, doomy, and screwy things have been since they entered Mt. Sentry. Besides, what parent doesn't want to hold and hug their child?

After doing this for an undiscernible amount of time, the empath shifted his grip on Azrael so that she could be held in one hand and used the now free one to reach into his bag and pull out that Jelly Sandwich, and held it up for her to inspect. "My child, are you hungry? I have this sandwich right here, and I know it took a lot of energy to break through that Egg shell, so if you are then you can dig right in!"

Meanwhile in the background and hovering off to their master's side was Raphael, who reacted to the newborn Dark Dragon with.....(Reaction Iron?)

When Nathan trailed behind his curious Furret tag along, Ven sensed the presence of both, giving the long mammal a small smile and a nod of his head in respect towards them, before looking over to  share a glance with the boy. One that show he still didn't appreciate their barbed comments earlier, but was willing to let things go and make peace. The birth of his child was a joyous moment that shouldn't be spoiled, and he realized in sudden hindsight and clarity that he acted like an ass in his stoic disapassion/focus on Shiva, so some amend making is in order. Starting with subtly broadcasting to Ralts they and their master could approach them to greet the child, if they want!

Once he spent some more time snuggling with his black angel and feed/not feed her (and the others had a chance to react to Azrael's birth), Ventus resumed his journey towards Cress City and made his way to the East Pokémon Center, holding Azrael all the while and with his archangel glided by his side, both it and him keeping their eyes peeled for danger all the while. Now with his newest little one in his care, he had to be even more vigilant and responsible, and not let his guard down!

Order: Cuddle with the smol dragon, feed her if she accepts the food, leave room for the others to react/flashback to, and head towards Cress City and towards the East Pokémon Center to turn in for the night! Also Raphael's reaction, as what they think about Azrael is important too!

Nathan lets out a sigh. He still doesn't comment initially. Just quietly watches Furret with that slightly painful, polite smile. From a respectful distance.

Ralts got the message loud and clear, but he needs some rest after such a stressful day. Badly. He's yawning from sheer exhaustion.

Furret however...she's a little furball of pure energy and excitement! From what she can tell, the orange haired stranger is doing a half-decent job with the newborn! She'd have to remember this for later...it definitely helps calm Ralts and Nathan down a little, being around such a positive emotion.

When they reach the nearest pokemon center (the eastern one, right?), Nathan thanks Valder for being his escort for the day. "Really, you...saved me a lot of trouble and worry, despite how...anyways...again...thank you. If...you need my help with something later, don't hesitate to ask me...alright? *ahem* Well, uh...goodnight, I guess...come on, Furret, let's head inside."

"Well, no safer place than a pokemon center. If I may ask, though...is this your first time hatching an egg, Furret?"

When Heart join with the others he see Ventus hugging and cuddling the cute dragon. Heart careful approach and say. "Aww what a cute little thing. Baby Pokemon is always a cutie little thing." Say Heart. Patrat was out of the pokeball and see with a curious but cautious matter the new dragon of his master friend. "I think we meet a lot of new friends today. Oh, this little guy here is Patrat. The youngest member of a clan of Patrat lead by a powerful Watchog in Mt. Sentry. Anyway, we might be very close to Cress City. Should we rest here a bit or continue our way to the City?"

Raphael is quite suspicious of Deino, but confident he can handle a Dark/Dragon type. Ventus has just to say the word.

Deino eats the sammich in one gulp. She'll be growing quite quickly at this rate!

Nathan heads to the PC to swap out Solomon for Forthright, then comes back.

Forthright is downright ecstatic to finally be out of the PC!  Yay, finally, some quality time with her parent!

Nathan can't help but smile as he comes back to his room.

"Furret, this is Forthright.  I hatched her from a blue egg around...a week or so ago.  Took a little over a week to hatch her.  She's quite the little bundle of joy, though, and I think it was worth it.  It's definitely quite different from caring for a young Ponyta..."

...though the smile is soon replaced by a small frown.

"...it wasn't easy to hatch her, though.  And...I hardly did it alone.  Having a fire type around helps speed up the hatching, and...it can be difficult to protect eggs and make sure they stay safe in the wild without help.  If I hadn't had my various pokemon friends...I don't want to think about what could have happened to her...I also had to consider how best to raise her...still am, actually..."

...back to a small smile.

"...you could use some practice, right?  Well, how about you help me with Forthright, and I can help you with hatching and caring for your egg?  I could definitely use a little assistance with keeping Forthright happy and entertained..."
