"Glad you think it's a good idea.  For now, I think it's time we get some rest.  It's been a long day, and eggs and most newborns need a lot of attention.  Forthright in particular needs some cuddling since she's been cooped up in the PC all day. She likes cuddles. A lot.  I'll give ya a run down of what else I generally do tomorrow morning, alright?"

"...oh, one more question before we go to sleep.  Would you mind if I borrow your egg again for a minute?  I won't take it anywhere, I'd just like to scan it with my pokedex and see if it knows what the contents might be and how long it thinks it might take to hatch.  It'll help me with planning how to help you care for it, and you'll get it back right afterwards, I promise."

Once he spent some more time snuggling with his black angel and feed/not feed her (and the others had a chance to react to Azrael's birth), Ventus resumed his journey towards Cress City and made his way to the East Pokémon Center, holding Azrael all the while and with his archangel glided by his side, both it and him keeping their eyes peeled for danger all the while. Now with his newest little one in his care, he had to be even more vigilant and responsible, and not let his guard down!

Actually Shiva is lagging a little behind since Nathan and Ven already went ahead, and is trotting alongside Heart and Azumarill + Furret while taking silent deep breaths. She was exhausted from the sheer intensity of the battle and her downspiral into icy-cold wrath, but physically she was fine and the eagger and worry for Braixen's and Cottonee's state made her take the rest of the path at normal speed.

She's due to her background of having grown up in a Professional Breeder's family sensitive to the sound of a Pokemon Egg hatching, so she certainly does pick up the sound faintly from ahead her, causing her as well as Azumarill perk up in wonder and slight excitement. Can's be that suspected Egg Nathan carried... Ah, must be that Mystery Egg Ven has picked up from the Shelter!! Huh, it certainly took quite a while to hatch, a bit longer than usually, she only knew that being the case on Eggs containing an Eevee, selected species, and almost all members of Drag.... A sly and slight smaile frormed on her expression as she fastened her pace a little to catch up with the others.


Eventually, she was back within eyesight of Ventus and Raphael, where she slowed her step again to not needlessly put that new hatchling on edge, before she silently curious stepped to Ven's side to get a look at WHAT has actually hatched there... It was indeed an exemplar of a Deino she carefully suspected to hatch... Haha..... Oh well, how very fitting that it was the dark oddball of sociologist she grew so fond of has hatched such a small draconic creature. Shiva didn't say anything to Ven though, instead she fondly-playfully patted him on the back in the means to say 'Well done!~", now gifting him a dear smile. She's not at all afraid of THAT smol dragon, but she's very respectful towards its Final Form due to its violent and ruthless nature. Besides, how this one nommed on the given sammich was outright adorable to watch, Shiva just couldn't help but to give Azrael, as Ven introduced this dragon to her, a kind stroke on the side of its head with the back of her hand in the manner of greeting.

(Given how the evoline has a 4xWeakness against Fairy Type though, whether new Deino accepts that and doesn't flinch or prefers to keep its distance like Lucifer does depends on GM then.)

There are three Pokemon Centers, East and South and West, both rather small on the surface, though they continue underground for a little bit. These are free. Many quaint B&B are available for a similar deal as the treehouses near Wineberry. They have different themes, like romance or solitude or woodcraft.

F....Finally out of the mountain! Only when she had barely seen the open sky for this day, Shiva learned to value it's view and the smell of fresh nighttime air and all that space around instead of cave walls to both sides.... She almost soaks up that feeling od safety Cress City is giving her, instantly liking his place. How the stars above twinkled down from avove made her forget the worry and exhaustion for a peaceful moment.

 If it wasn't obvious before already, now it is as she was silently awed and fascinated by that clocktower, she has some sort of faible for such gothic architecture and trim. These coos of many Hoothoot suddenly and quickly reminded her of that Noctowl the Elder of Arrowroot Village supposed to come to her one day or the other... She silently wondered when it'll be the time and what she will do then.

But for now, she made haste to the Pokemon Cent..... Wait, there were THREE Pokemon Center in total! Stopping on her fast pace and almost tripping over, Shiva somewhat feverishly pondered to which one her lethally harmed Pokemon were sent to, and where to go... Helpnessness and insecurity striked her for short, before she mader her way to the one that was closest from her current point. Yes, she noticed the advertisement of B&Bs in this town, but for now she only wants to be sure of one thing...

Inside the Center, Shiva practically rushed to the counter, having to catch up on breath again from the haste. As soon as a Nurse Joy came to her, she slid her Breeder's Lisence and Trainer Card over to her to not having to introduce herself. "*pant*..... H-hello and good night... I've sent... two Pokemon, a Braixen and a Cottonee, over that were in need for immediate and professional medical care....  quickly followed by fainted and frozen Druddigon, which.... haaah... caused the wounds....... W-where are they? HOW are they? I...is it possible that I can see them? How's my fox's arm doing, does it have to...be in surgey?"

She'd be happy and relieved to sleep over in the infirmary for humans to recover herself, but she seems more concerned over her Pokemon and would likely be too coy to even ask Nurse Joy. Azumarill as well as Furret have been recalled for the night by now.

Deino hasn't yet learned to be wary of Fairy types, intellectually. She might be a little more nervous about an actual Fairy, though, such as Azumarill if she's still out, which I think she is. She'll keep Ventus between her and Azu.

Azumarill is indeed still out, as Shiva had her follow her along the remaining way.

She's actually not suprised that the small dragon seems....let say 'careful' towards her joyful fae rabbit, and gestures Azu too keep some respectful distance to the new hatchling of Ven. Shiva herself however poses no threat at all and knows how to handle newborn Pokemon in general, but she'd be not too happy if Deino would decide to chew on her hand or bump into her due to not being able to see. Being yet young and unexperienced though, she'd probably let it happen the first time this occurs.

For now, she withdraws her hand.

"Oh! Hello, Shiva. Someone was looking for you, I think. Anyway, Cottonee is doing very well! She is under a sunlamp and has already been through the healing machine. Braixen will need to wear a splint for 24 hours after we release him tomorrow morning. Corrective surgery was not necessary, but carefully rearranging the broken bones meant we had to sedate him a bit. He will make a full recovery. You were wise to send him to the PC - I presume by catching another Pokemon. You must be sure to thank Bill. He spends his springs and summers over on the Jetty, you know. That's a small lake just west of Cress City, on the outskirts of Route 12."

"You can see your Pokemon in the morning. We have them on a sound monitor, so if it would comfort you to listen to their breathing, you may do so right here at this console."

A sudden blaze of fire spotted from the corner of her eye catches Shiva's attention. She turns briefly and sees a Rapidash, greeting her. Behind Rapidash is Professor Mallorn, smiling and holding out a brown-wrapped package with her name on it.

"Hi, boss! When I received an order for Shiva in Cress City, I decided to deliver it personally along Breakneck Ridge! I haven't seen you and your friends in person in a while, you know? Be sure to let them know I'm in town. I'm actually staying at Pokemon Center West. Room 110. How is everything? Any unusual additions to your Pokedex - oh, you don't have one yet, do you? I have some with me if you'd like to make a purchase."

The relieve that Shiva felt over the opening that Cottonee was doing well and alright despite having suffered these...nasty Slashes...... s-same with Braixen, she was already expecting the worse... was, to put it bluntly, INTENSE. It caused her to slump down to the counter, resting the side of her head on one of her arms, letting out a breath she had no idea she was holding, thanking Reshiram and everything she held dear that all seemed ho have ended relatively well.

"T....Thank you, Joy.... Oh well, thank you... I'll pick them up tomorrow. I just need....some rest... Is there still a dorm free that...I can have? O...Or a bed in the infirmary, m-maybe? Haahhh.... Oh my..." Only half she heard that Bill himself was staying in Chreshire, not too far from here... Huh, THE Bill from Kanto who developed the Pokemon Storage System as well as known Eevee  Enthusiast? ...Neat. Maybe, hopefully, Shiva will be able to learn a bit of the wonders of PC Science from and with him him.


No time to think things further, as that flash of fire caught her attention, causing her to retrive her head from the Center's counter and adjust her glasses again, before she eventually and somewhat coyly-curiously looking behind only to be greeted by...the full figure of Professor Mallorn , probably still wearing that set of mechanical goggles, as well as his trademark Rapidash huffing a greet to her.


Definitely someone she not expected to see in person that suddenly, while she's not at her best and least of all speaking so casually to her - she failed on trying to not flinch from sheer suprise, and wrestles herself into a respectful attitude towards him, displaying it by standing upright and giving him a slight bow as a greet. "H-Hello Professor! Uhm... Well, true, it's been a while since I...or any of us, they're probably around here somewhere as well, has seen you in person." ... "I'll let them know that you're in town, yes." How Shiva already owns an Almanac as her 'PokeDex', she rather not tells him. For now, she gently refuses the offering of buying a PokeDex from him. "I have my books and the internet to check on things, shall it be needed, but thank you for the offer."

"There's indeed a particular Pokemon I'd be...curious to show you. It's a Poochyena. But not an ordinary one... Maybe you can tell me more upon seeing it. Can I meet up with you tomorrow please, maybe around lunchtime? A...and that package...for me... Thank you for brining it to me. Is that from home? I haven't ordered anything, not that I remember."  She'd take it though since it has her name one iit, but she's somewhat stunned.

When Heart join with the others he see Ventus hugging and cuddling the cute dragon. Heart careful approach and say. "Aww what a cute little thing. Baby Pokemon is always a cutie little thing." Say Heart. Patrat was out of the pokeball and see with a curious but cautious matter the new dragon of his master friend. "I think we meet a lot of new friends today. Oh, this little guy here is Patrat. The youngest member of a clan of Patrat lead by a powerful Watchog in Mt. Sentry. Anyway, we might be very close to Cress City. Should we rest here a bit or continue our way to the City?"

The empath gives Heart a small smile and a nod of his head in gratitude for their kind words, before saying to them: "I agree, my friend, but this little Dragon is liable to bite your fingers whether she's in a good mood or bad, so I'd still observe caution around her. Its the most innocuous things that hold the biggest surprises, after all." When Heart brought out his freshly caught Patret, Ventus share a small smile with them as well, before he flicked his wrist and a small bag of hulled sunflower popped out from......somewhere, and deftly opened it with one hand and spinkled some seeds on the ground for the small mammal to eat. "Your species burns a lot Calories every day to function to fuel your high stress-activity life style, so dig in Patret," he kindly said, before turning to address the rare collector once more.

"Patret are a rather prolific species in any region they reside in to my knowledge, Heart, so I admit I'm somewhat surprised you caught one yourself. Must be a rather special one, hmm? (...) Yes, I believe we should press on to Cress, as the sooner arrive the more swiftly can all be evacuated from the caves of Mt. Sentry, which are far more....hazardous than I thought a main thoroughway would be. Though it certainly held some rather....intriguing treasures that made the trip worth it in my eyes. For me, this was mainly a new, strange Pokémon I have caught myself that I wish to discuss with you, as I believe you would be quite interested in....."

Ventus then proceed to tell Heart all about the Delta Onix he captured just hours ago, as well as the proposal he had to trade it for one of their lesser used and/or problematic Pokémon (Scyther/Scizors)  in exchange for a joint collaboration to study it . together. ".......In short, I believe we both stand to gain substaintially from this venture. You gain a strong Delta Species to add to your collection, and I take a Pokémon off your hands, and we both can study it to our heart's content, and perhaps even breed it later on to expand this odd subspecies for conservatory reasons. What do you say, my friend?"

Raphael is quite suspicious of Deino, but confident he can handle a Dark/Dragon type. Ventus has just to say the word.

Deino eats the sammich in one gulp. She'll be growing quite quickly at this rate!

Noticing his first child's leery eye feelings towards his little dark angel, Ventus looked over to give them a comforting smile and offer words that would hopefully ease the tension they felt towards the Dark/Dragon. "Raphael, please don't feel threatened by young Azrael. She's completely content being in my care, and delightidly accepts me as her parent, so I would deem her completely harmless. Well, towards me and the rest of the family at the very least, but that does not invalidate my beliefs on this, so worry not my archangel...."

The blind drake ravousnessly devouring the sammich brought another smile to his face, before he reached into the bag and obtained a juicy red apple and held it out to her. "My, so you are famished then! If that sandwich wasn't enough to sate your hungry, then how about an apple? I have plenty more of them, so if one isn't enough just tell me so my child!"

The researcher almost startled when he was suddenly patted on the back by someone, as the majority of his attention was on his newborn child right then, before he detected the distinct emotional pattern that undeniably marked them as Shiva. He turned to give her a light smile as a clear 'Thank you,' and turned to let her interact with the blind drake as she wish without commenting on it. She was not only a talented and skilled breeder, but she was also his closest and most dear friend, so Ventus completely trusted her to treat his child nicely, which was not something the paranoid and family oriented sociologist did lightly. Shows how close he is to her, despite his traumatized/stoic behavior now, eh?

After he was done interacting with everyone, Ventus proceeded toward the East Pokémon Center, got a room to himself, and turned in for the night.

(Whew, that's all the reactions! Now time to see what else I have to catch up to now....)
