You guys play games into the night. Ventus is training. Valder returns from adventures on the high seas.

And Heart is heading to the Cathedral for one final encounter. In the candlelight, lots of shadows move, and Heart and Hypno are very jumpy.

After a bit of searching, Heart leans against a downspout. Suddenly, a pebble falls on his head, and he looks up to see one of the gargoyles move! Could it be?

It is! That gargoyle is definitely a Pokemon!

When Heart notices the big gargoyle Pokemon, his heart almost go out of his chest. It is...yes! Indeed it is! The rare pokemon who even rare in his homeland in Tandor, Gargryph! Finally! His search around the Cathedral payoff! But how he going to make the gargoyle pokemon join with him? Yes he could battle against the noble guardian, but this would not help increase the bond between them. Heart then think and think and finally decide to aproach to the noble pokemon. But not before he return Hypno to the pokeball to calm the might pokemon. Even more since Heart did remember the Gargryphs know the move Explosion so a friendly aproach it would be the better line of choice. "*Ahem* Good night, guardian pokemon. Sorry to interrupt your slumber and invade your home. I dont come here to cause trouble or pain. I would like to talk a bit."

Gargryph's neck creaks and he levels his head at you. He just stares. It's extremely intimidating. However, it doesn't seem particularly hostile.

Heart did his best to not look intimidate by Gargryph state. He face to face some hostile pokemon before and was befriendly a few of them (sorta). He talk again in a friendly tone to not angry the gargoyle pokemon. "Again, sorry to interrupt your slumber Gargryph. I think some apresentations is needed. My name is Heart. I a pokemon trainer. I didnt come to cause trouble." Then he make a peace offer to the guardian. Heart its not sure what Gargryphs usually eat, but he did his best to bring some delicious desserts to the Gargoyle: Exotic nuts, Dark Fancy chocolate, bread and cheese. Oh and a few bananas to offer the pokemon guardian. "You might be hungry after the slumber. And dont be worry, nothing here is poison or anything. I will even taste to prove you." Then Heart eat a piece of chocolate to show Gargryph it is safe to eat.

Huh, that caused Shiva to go silent for a little to think over which Pokemon she, and then the group has that may benefit from a sandstorm. ...Her Comite came to her mind first! Followed by Heart's Ar- Lairon. Ven's Numel likely won't mind either, same with his and her Magneton!~

Eventually, after a little, she carefully spoke up again, looking thoughtful. "Guess it's better to only cast a sandstorm then when the advantages outweight the disadvantages. Sand Rush is a cool Ability, at home we mostly breed Lilipup that'll have this Ability when they evolve for customers. But if there's only one or two Pokemon on the field that don't mind or even benefit from both the storm and the hail, this probably brings out the best of these particular weather changes. Like... well, I think I'll only let Vulpix battle when it's safe. Or indoors, as then her skill of summoning a hailstorm is surpressed!"

"A...anyway, I realized that weather changes in battle shouldn't be done because you feel like it, but it can bring quite a benefit if done so with an intention. Like, Braixen's firepower grows amazingly if his inner flame is set ablaze and even powered up by the sunshine my sweet Cherubi summoned. Overdoing it will likely develop into chaos I think, or backfire, the sun and rain were my main...sentiments...to have, I mean."

"Yeah, Hail's probably the hardest weather to use...aside from Ice types, only pokemon with Overcoat, Magic Guard, most abilities that benefit from Hail directly, ones that know Blizzard, and ones wearing Safety Goggles can actually safely fight in it or benefit from it.  And on top of that, the trainer has to be equipped for those damaging weathers too if there's no suitable cover, lest they also take damage from it...though summoning an aurora is probably more than enough justification for starting a hailstorm.  It'd be...nice to see that one day...shame that TM is only produced in Alola currently...but I guess that makes sense if it's also the only place that can really sell it since few pokemon can use it as well as the Alolan Vulpix line..."

Nathan shrugs at Shiva's next comment.  "Changing the weather is what Castform do.  Maybe Forthright will eventually call on the Rain as well, but...it's not exactly very fitting of her namesake if she doesn't at least get the hang of clearing the skies to let the light shine on the battlefield.  Maybe she'll be soaking up the sun's rays one day as well to complement the literal firepower..."

Shiva has a rather durable pocket umbrella with her in back depicting a Lunatone, so I guess she herself will be safe from her Pokemon's (or, any) weather changes. As well as that Ranger's cloak with a big hood.

She also agrees silently that a Castform is, well, a Castform, changing the weather and changing its form accordingly is within it's nature.

I know many of your species is rare, and even in Tandor, your home, there only a few Gargryphs who exist there. I come here to offer you the chance to travel though Cheshire and even more though the world. Perhaps even meet others of your species, ohter Gargryphs in your home in Tandor if you wish after I finish my bussiness here in Cheshire. If you dont believe me, you can test my will, endurance and resolution. I will not use any pokemon if you accept to challenge me and you can test me the better way you see fit. I know you kind is noble and strong, and only accept trainer they think its wortly since you dont reveal to them. Test me."

Gargryph lumbers around and pulls you up onto the Cathedral roof! You're standing in a broad gutter that runs the perimeter of the cathedral, spotted with gargoyles here and there. From the gutter, the roof slopes up gradually, until it reaches the base of the spire, which is of course much steeper. Bronze sheathing connects the broad parallel sections of the roof. 

Candles provide dim illumination as Gargryph hunkers down to see how you plan to be tested.

Heart was startled when Gargryph pulls him direct to the roof! It was quite a view. "You should at least warn when you take someone to such place Gargryph. But I must admit this is a good place to be tested." Heart smile a bit. "But if you plan to scare me or anything like that you failed. I have faced other things during my travels: A big Rock-Metagross. A ambush of a large group of pokemon. And the vines who almost bring the destruction of Cheshire. I fight against suffer too in my life when everything I once cared gone before my eyes." Then Heart pull out the symbol of the ArcHeart. "I ArcHeart, son of the house of Ark the Master of Flames. I make some mistakes during my life..." Than Heart remember the pain he have caused in the past and force his hands with such strengh it begin to drip a few blood. "But that doesnt mean I cant be forgiven. Even if thats mean mean pay for my crimes, someday justice for everyone. The goods and evils. The fair and unfair. This is something I will never forget until I live."

Then Heart take a deep breath and close his eyes for a second. "You can hit my body, but you will never break my spirit." Then Heart begin to sharp his instics to alert of any attack coming from Gargryph.

Mechanic: Reaction of Gargryph after Heart speech and dodge any attack from him. Or if not, stay strong and endure the pain.

(Enough to have half of his HP or have his HP to be 3. But to not be killed. Heart is ready to risk, but to not die here.)

"Cmon! I know you there watching. Come here."

Gargryph creeps forward and looks into Heart's eyes. Judgment is something this Cathedral gargoyle does engage in.

Gargryph reaches out a claw and cover's Heart's hand with it. He looks to you to see if you're still willing to keep going, and you stare fiercely back!
He clenches his hand over yours, allowing the family emblem to pierce even further into your flesh. He keeps it there, unmoving, daring you to move yourself. Ten minutes of this go by, until you are at half HP.

Heart makes a Will roll at -2. (1)(3)(6)(6) Success. Heart passes Gargryph's test. Gargryph takes Heart again and climbs down to the ground, where he deposits Heart carefully. He prods Heart a little, motioning for Heart to move and Gargryph will follow.

A thin layer of stone forms over Heart's wound. The bleeding stops. As Heart rests, his wound heals very rapidly underneath the stone!
