Hello there, my friends! Some of you might remember me, although it's been quite a long time since I've showed up here in the forums! Just came to say hi and see how the community is doing.
How's the competitive scene, the game, tell me everything!

Welcome back, mate, for however long that will be the case! Enjoy your return, and have a cookie! *Offers them a snickerdoodle*
Regarding the comp scene, its about dead as graveyard full of skeletons. Between every Pokemon not having all their possible Moves and Abilities, the instability of online play and the glitches regarding some Move/Abilities, the lack of formalized tiers , playtesters, a ban list, and any activity in general, nothing much is happening at all besides the quiet murmurs. Their is a Uranium Competitive Discord that is metaphorically digging up the corpse of Comp, but the above problems and lack of series players/incentive for them to play comp stigmy their progress. I used to and still am technically a part of their concuil, but after a glitchy doubles tournment I became rather dishearted with the possibility to comp will ever be more than a fanciful dream without a custom battle simulator similar to that of Pokemon Showdown that runs well.
In short, abandon ye all hope for Competitive, and pray that someday that will not be the case.

Waow Windos, that's unlike you to be so pessimistic
It's true that the competitive scene hasn't developped much due to all the reasons you stated, but hang in there! The devs are doing everything they can to improve the game, we just have to be patient about it
Trust me, I do understand your being dishearted with online battling, been there as well, but I don't think Uranium deserves to be discarded just yet

I agree with Shademonkey Windos. Hope its still there. Even its just a little, everyone thinks Uranium was dead and even after be throw to the graveyard by Nintendo, he still survives.

Oh wow, didn't expect to see you around here again. Long time no see indeed!
Windos and Shademonkey kinda summed the competitive aspect up nicely.
As far as the game itself...well, just waitin' on that next big update. Maybe some more stable multiplayer, maybe access to more moves and Hidden Abilities for some pokemon, maybe the release of the last few Legendaries and the various remaining post game events...we've had a lot of cool mystery gifts in the meantime, though! Most of them are just holiday reskins of stuff that's normally available, but they're all competitively viable since they have 6 IVs all around and can be soft reset if any part of them is random (some of them can even be shiny). Halloween Cocran/Minyan, Easter Jackdeary, and the 1 year anniversary Nuclear Pahar remain the only ones that have a unique competitive roll separate from their normal counterparts (they're also decent for breeding stuff, though none of them can actually produce eggs containing the reskinned mystery gifts. You just get the normal version of that species if ya try).

Oh, good to see you again old friend! Good to hear that at least the game continues to receive some new stuff, even if it's just reskinned mons (which, actually, is pretty cool!). I hoped that, after all that time, the remaning legendaries would be released, but I know that it's not that easy to do it and I believe the dev team do they best to not let Uranium dies. And I hope this community never dies - Uranium is still one of the best Pokemon games I ever played.
I agree with shademonkey as well, my dear old friend. I do believe, as I said, that the dev team works hard and they will, eventually, solve most of Uranium's major problems. Just be faithful!
Anyways, it's good to see you all again. I don't know if I'm back for real yet, but it's always good to come here and see that Uranium lives. And it's good to see that most of the oldest members of the community are still here, believing in one of the most beautiful fanmade project I've ever seen.

The devs have assured us that they're working on it! Takes awhile to do though since they've got a bunch of bugs to squish first, then they need to make the new stuff, then they need to test that and probably squash more bugs...and they're doing this in their free time too, so major respect for that, even if it is taking awhile because they have other things to do irl besides code a game all day.
If you do decide ya want to hang out here again, we got some things going on to keep an eye on! That discord Windos mentioned is a potential place to discuss the competitive scene (and maybe some other stuff depending. We're still working out the kinks, but we'd love to see it grow a little eventually), and we have the some Pokerole roleplay stuff going on in the Roleplay section as well. Guide writing is kinda ground to a halt right now, but getting some ideas in place in prep for the future isn't a bad thing imo. Some other parts of the forum are semi-active from time to time, too. Could help with trades, start the occassional discussion...that sort of thing.
Regardless, it's nice to see you drop in and say 'hi' again! Always a pleasure!

I can confirm that Uranium development is still going forward. It may not go extremely fast, but the game is not even close to dead.

I know, I know guys, I'm just bummed out and more than a little dishearted with the state of Competitive , and the lack of visible progress and word of mouth from the devs on the ongoing work of Uranium. They'll get everything made and polished to a Mirror Shot sheen someday, though, so I shouldn't despair TOO much about this.
Still disgruntled and unhappy about them overly nerfing Dramsama into the ground, however. That is one decision I will NEVER agree with or look positively on.

None asks you - us - to agree with everything that has been changed by the devs either, my dear, so please don't feel too bad for it permanently, K? Poor ghostly bird however, that's true and I agree, but it's still an amazing Fakemon even if more for it's concept.
Hmm, I myself and somewhat between the lines: Haven't somewhat lost hope or am dishearted, and the Competitive Scene is something I follow more casually as I'm no direct competitive player (but I'd greatly appreciate stable online battling) but am not looking into the future super-brightly either, for the most part I'm simply waiting and believing in this FanGame until being proven otherwise.
