(Not directly a cue as the following would happy at some point anyway, but it can gladly occur when Nathan walks in~)


Shiva doesn't mind Furret starring at her due to her concealed interest in that Pokemon Egg, but she cottons on that this Egg must be somewhat related with the Longbody Pokemon. Weird, the Egg does not look AT ALL like a Sentret would hatch from it!

When Nathan walks in and unknowingly comes near the top hat calmly sitting beside Shiva, in a swift and suprising (but not 'startling' manner - we shouldn't risk Nathan dropping things accidently) movement Azumarill popps out of it with a smile and her arms open wide, this was accomplished by small swarm of illusionary white dows! They disappeared as soon as someone touches them or they touch the wall. Azumarill is also offering a yellow rose to the birthday boy a moment later, or does so to Ralts if he himself has no free hand to take it from the blue fae rabbit.

Shiva herself carefully and gently hugs Nathan if he allows. C: "My, Nathan, you could have told that today's your birthday!~ My congratulations for another year of walking on this planet. I'm not having any gift for you, sadly, but...well, at least we two were able to spent a fun evening of looking over and playing cards at the Shack, haven't we?"

This is what Ventus does while Nathan was out of the Room!

-Investigates the picture with a faintly curious gaze, specifically picking it up to get a closer and tilting it a bit, before putting it back down in the exactly same position

-Goes over to the Egg to inspect it as well, and tries to guess what it could possibly be based on its appearance (Knowledge Roll + Pokémon Researcher?). He'll scurry off once Furret starts giving him the stink eye, though!

-Next, he'll go over and inspect the Cake set out, realize its Nathan's birthday and that his earlier comment was more appropreite than he though, before deciding to keep it to himself so as not to COMPLETELY spoil the surprise for everyone else.

-He'll find a spot to sit in the room and sit down, taking out his Fast Incubator and placing it on his lap. The first thing he'll do upon Nathan returning is offer to lend his Fast Incubator out to help accelerate the Egg's Hatching. He'll then patiently wait for them to say what they want.

Alright, since Ventus took a look at the picture, he sees much the same thing as Heart did, but spotting a little bit more detail since he has some time to actually stare at it uninterrupted.  Nathan's mom, a younger version of Nathan, a man who looks a lot like Nathan (but his eyes aren't the same.  Very reasonable to conclude this is Nathan's dad), a Rapidash with an easily missable hint of blue in its coat and flames standing behind Marta (Ventus can probably reasonably assume that's Max, though the blue tinge is probably going to be surprising), a Luxray standing behind Nathan's dad (and again, its stare is piercing.  Like it can see right through the picture itself), and a young Ponyta in front of them all (Looks completely normal, and there's no labels to identify it as Forthright on the front of the picture).  The picture was taken in a stable.  Ventus will also notice that poking out from just underneath the brown flight jacket Nathan's dad is wearing is what looks to be...gym badges.  They're hard to notice because Marco never really showed them off, but he wears them with pride!  They're not necessarily the same as the ones we've collected/will be collecting in this campaign, though...

Anyways, moving on!

"...well, uh...kinda forgot about it...yeah...this is so embarrassing...this is the year I wouldn't have wanted to forget about it for once...gah..."

"...that's...uh...not my choice to make.  It'll be hatching in around two days, though, so I'm not sure it's really needed anyways..."

The confusion of Shiva after that opening was rather real on the inside and visible on the outside. She easily noticed that something WAS pretty much troubling him, but she'll be there for him to get over it, like she always was. More out of a habit than consciously, she also reached over to choose a particular Pokeball belonging to her, and eventually summoned Cottonee (which she withdrew from Bill's PC for the night) to hug her dearest Pokemon for succour and security.

"Why should I think ill of you? Ven, I already saw you unfettered and didn't flinch away."

"Since she evolved." ^_^ She doesn't begrudge Nathan at all for accidently forgetting his birthday, she's just somewhat suprised how such a thing can happen. Has his birthday no meaning for him? Nope, nonsense, if that'd be the case he wouldn't share cake with them now. "Simply make a note in your PokeDex or cell and add a reminder a few days before the date, Nathan. Can't the Dex to that?"

Spritzee, still calmly sitting on her owner's + mother's right shoulder, is also highly interested in that given out cake - or rather, in the scent of it. She cheerfully unhides from the soft strands of hair and lands on the edge of the plate to figuratively bathe in the sweet sweet chocolate. If it's safe for her, she can also have a bit of it.


(I know I'm out of Encounter Slots for the Day, @Iron, as I think visiting the Museum + crafting there + staying at the Shack took all the remaining time, but I wonder whether this can at least count as a pseudo-Training Session for Spritzee, meaning she learns a bit about the scent of chocolate, but gains not necessarily an XP?)

Ventus initially tilts his head at the boy's choice of words, as it implied the Egg ('Most likely a Todidle, as I find it improbable its a Dragon, a Clampearl, or Carnarva, but then again I'm by no means a certified Breeder.....') wasn't his to in the first place, but then he remember the glare the Furret gave him for almost touching the Egg and the defensive and nurturing feelings she exhibited and put two and two together. In the end he just nodded his head respectively and put away the Incubator, a small knowing smile on his as he decided to contribute his own two Poke into the conversation.

"No need to be so bashful or charinged about your lapse in memory, Nathan. We all have been rather busy these past few weeks with various ......unsavory complications, so its perfectly reasonable for your birthday to slip your mind. Though I am curious why you are some rueful about nearly forgetting about this one in particular, so what makes this birthday more significant than your others, if I may be so rude as to ask?"

The researcher's black baby dragon (who was now resting in Ven's lap when Shiva was done playing with her), meanwhile, was swiveling her head an taking in the delicious scent of the chocolate gateu , her mouth watering as she tried to pin point where the foodstuff was at. She didn't know what it was, but it smelled rich and sweet, and therefore she wanted to track it down and gobble it all up!

Nathan also releases Zippy, Princess, and Charmeleon into the room at this point. Nathan wanted these three to be present as well along with everyone else.  Shame Swiftfire wouldn't exactly fit in the room, and bringing Calam as well would have really been pushing it, but he can always address that later.

"...it's, uh...my 17th birthday...in Charring Cross, there's an old tradition of those descended from noble blood venturing into the Great Divide to find a wild Charmander to be their partner when they come of age...usually around 17 or 18 years or so."

Nathan looks at Charmeleon specifically.

"...I've said it before: I don't think I'm descended from nobility.  I've not heard or seen any evidence of that.  And I didn't exactly find you on some epic journey through the mountains, Charmeleon, but...I don't know, it just feels kinda...like maybe the events leading up to when I met you might qualify for the journey in and of itself.  I'll have to tell ya about those later, I guess...I'm not sure if that might mean anything to you, Charmeleon, but...I wanted to acknowledge that, at least.  Something just feels...right about that, I guess."

He looks at the bees.  At Furret and Forthright.  The Carvanha egg.  Emolga.  Shiva, Ventus, Heart, Valder...

Ralts.

"...and...I'm glad that everyone is here.  That there's plenty of friendly faces around."

Let's get out the 5 chocolate gateau and 7 jars of honey!  Nom nom nom time!

Charring Cross? ....OH, that's that town Shiva stumbled over when she was reading about Earthstar Forest in her Guidebook more than once! So far, she hasn't looked into what it says about this place, maybe later she will now that it became relevant.

A piece of that sweet chocolate gateu was thankfully accepted by Shiva, and naturally Nathan can have the piece resembling a Rapidash. All of her current Pokemon on hand can join these festivities and enjoy some honey or shared cake in Spritzee's case, which are Spritzee/Azumarill/Alolan Vulpix/Nightshade/Lilith. I'm not quite sure how I am supposed to bring Luvdisc into this scene. :C Maybe Ventus allows Azumarill to fill the Fast Incubator with water, so that the heartshaped fish can be contained in there?

Nathan actually gets out the small pool he got earlier that day once he sees/hears about the Luvdisc.  "Use this instead.  It'll probably be more comfortable, I imagine.  I'll make some room for it.  Somehow...maybe if we move your bed a little over that way, Furret? Or maybe we just have to put it away for a short time while we have visitors? or maybe it'll go on top of the bed? Hmmm..."

He doesn't comment on the heart fish itself, though.  He also doesn't say why he's got that small pool in the first place...

Eeeeeeek! That earns Nathan a stunned expression, before it evolves into a smile and clearly detectable appreciation as she very carefully musters that pool. Why in Reshiram's name he got such a thing Shiva cannot know, but due to her high Insight and adult mind I guess she is capable to put one and one together and connect it with that Pokemon Egg on Nathan's bed that she has been wondering about from the first time she laid her eyes on it. She's still not 100% sure what species it contains, but now she can at least guess and narrow the possibilities down.

"S...simply place it down here, Nathan, please!" *pats the space right next to where she's sitting* Luvdisc can have a few crumbles of the chocolate gateau which Shiva crumbles onto the water surface. C: Hope she likes it just as much as Spritzee and Shiva herself do! The taste's great and she's savouring every bite.

"Aww thank you Nathan. We may have some problems in the past but I gladly we could be able to everyone get along very well. You know people, it's kinda funny. I inside of the group for just a little time, but I must confess it's awesome to be with you all. The crazy adventures we have until now, the Pokemon we have meet and capture it, the pokemon battles, it's almost looks like the first day we have meet in Mallorn laboratory. I still have some scars from Koa first bites." Heart touch his nose a bit remembered the bites of Koa.

"Anyway, happy birthday Warren. May you have a long and happy life. If you say it is your birthday I would have prepared a birthday cake. I the cooker of the team for a reason! Also is anyone bring a radio? A birthday party can be even better with some music!" Then Heart make a pose like Elvis Presley.
