I'll certainly will be snoozing already at late night after your time.

So you play as a Paladin of Odin that helps keeps the world safe? Sweet! Keep on praising, inspiring your party, and Laying on Hands when necessary!

My my, your certainly more outgoing and active than I ever managed to be! I can hardly keep up between both mine and your campaigns mate, but I'm certainly happier for it, since all that experience goes in to making our game top quality! Wish I knew a few more groups around my campus that played D&D so I could play some more Patherfinder/traditional tabletop gaming, but if all else fails I can always start my own group IRL after reading up waaay more. Thanks for sharing all this, Iron, and all the hard work you've put into the game even if I don't always agree with it!

Man, I wish I have played more board rpg games for often when I was more young. Here in Brazil its a bit...difficult to find any place you can participate in such roleplayes. Even more in Fortaleza (Or Fortress even you want to speak that way) who the chance to find such area to play with is very much rare. And my friends dont usually play. So yeah, I wish I have play more offten face-to-face and go in such crazy roleplays. Play via online with messages is cool and all, but dont substitue a good ol'd board roleplay.

IRL D&D is always much better. Sometimes you'd be surprised who can have a secret interest in D&D. If you're on a campus I betcha anything there are groups - it's just a matter of finding them. And you never know, they may all be insufferable pricks. But yeah, a certain amount of boldness was required.

In theater I was playing Robin Hood and I fired my bow and hit the bullseye or whatever and Little John shouted "Natural Tweeentyyyyyy!" and that's how I knew he played D&D.

In college I was dissecting a rat and my lab partner said "Go ahead and take twenty on this check" and that's how I knew he played D&D.

Problem is sometimes its because when you find someone who really know the rules and play rpg, they do not accept you because there is already a party in some adventure. I only participate one time with a few people, and the problem is they dont sometimes explain the rules or anything like that. Thats kind of a problem here. Unfortanely, preconception its a evil who deep inside the culture of brazil. They might say good things or bad things out there in the world about the Brazil, about turist and beachs, but only who live here can understand the dangers and culture around here. The preconception is really strong here. Discrimination is out there, sometimes even inside some families. I not everyone here is like that.

To you have a idea, there preconception about who play roly playing games: "Oh, I dont want to know how to play because its weird to play another characters. Or because the rules is very complicate." Or even the preconception about someone who is already playing the roleplaying and judge someone who dont know the rules but have disposition to play: "You dont know the rules? Read books or something because I dont have time or patience to explain the rules to noobs like you." Or: "Uhh we already here a party of members and we dont want more members, sorry." Or things like that. This sometimes discourages anyone to play...live in Brazil is difficult.

I can see how that would be very discouraging. When you're struggling just to find acceptance and safety, things like games can fall by the wayside.

D&D used to be "the devil's game" in America, for a little while. Or the game of losers. But now it's gone pretty popular. Maybe there is hope for an eventual shift in Brazil's culture. No place stays the same forever, though unfortunately sometimes it has to get worse before it gets better. I hope that's not the case for you.

Yeah...but things will get a lot of time to get better. Its more or less 500 years since the discovery of Brazil (according some historic archives) and since that time, chaos was there and even in that time, intolerant and racism existed there (back in that time, europe was one of greatest intolerant country ever know) and that evil was here ever since. And now, almost 500 later of that time, we stuck here. A country with such potential and natural resouces to become a great potent of the world, but so badly administrated with such racism, preconception and these...old and ridiculous rotulus about what you need or what they think you should be. Thats why I dont like things...ritualistic or too much traditional.

Because things like that simple blid people. When something its root inside a culture, you must question the ask: "Why its like this? This IS really the right thing?" But no. Sometimes the people is just too much comfortable with their close minds they dont want to hear, or understand a different opinion. I know there a lot of this type of people in other places, but believe me: In Brazil is much more worse. I lost count about how many times I have been though myself in troubles just because I have a different opinion of other people and how many I was reject or excluded because of that. Thats why I try to be a different type of person of others: Always trying to have a open mind, to listen different ideas and opinions, always expanded my horizons of knowledge, points of view, and ways to see the world around me and about life. And always trying to help others, but never force them to have the opinion as mine.

"Always trying to guide them, but never interfered with they free will". Thats kinda of my mantra, my way to live. Its more than just a random words. Its words who literally explain what people do: Guide, but never force they opinion and ideas upon others. And to have a open mind to new ideas and always the ear to hear them. That way, you change yourself and change the world around you. Peace by peace. The word dont need world leader to lead people. The world need a professor to teach people the right thing. And enligh they minds but to let them use their free will with wisdom. True peace will come with universal enlighment.

Sorry people, I got a little carried away about that topic^^" Sometimes when I think too much about such topic, I cant hold myself but to wonder and think in deep meditation about that. Sorry if my words bored any of you people.

T....Thank you for sharing how you got into things, Iron! :O It's cool to see that ya got into playing that early, no wonder that due to that + constant playing the experience grew further and further.

A Gamer's Club sounds awesome... I know the feeling when being surrounded with people that share your interest, and it's a great feeling (even if it's a somewhat rare one). And I DO want to become a member of the Pathfinder Group I received info about when buying the Corebook - after gotten familiar with the rules, spoken with the GM and acquired a bit more boldness, that is. >///<

SCIENCE! <3 But...what has dissecting a rat have to do with forestry?

Oh..... THAT is what you wanted to speak about with me, Ven.

Fool, I only now saw that the next in-game Day has started. Guess the conversation will be in a flashback, Windos!~

Blue mushrooms... Like these? Seemingly, they grow in the wilderness in New Zealand.

Creshire is based partially on New Zealand, so that could make sense!
There is a real life edible Oyster Mushroom, which is very bland and white and unassuming.

Another way to get into Pathfinder/D&D is to look for a game store that sells Magic cards, Pokemon cards, or hopefully even D&D stuff. They often have playspace just like the Dilapidated Shack. Some groups will be like Spiritmon's experience and won't want new members, but when I was like 11 years old a bunch of older players let me watch them play a game. Official Wizards of the Coast events aren't allowed to turn away new players! That'll probably be 5th edition D&D instead of Pathfinder.
