[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

(Alright, I'll leave you to do the intiation and testing out the Cleanse Tag on Malphena, while I wait for you to transition us to the Graveyard. I rather keep conversation to a minimum/on the way/in the Cementary, as I want to get the next day started ASAP so that we can FINALLY go after the Secret Library in earnest!)

(I didn't mean to speak much during that trip either in the first place, maybe only if we've finished the Encounter and wait for the other to be ready for the next Day as well, so it's fine!~ @Spiritmon, feel free to initiate the in-game trade with me whenever you like.)


The time the sliding door of the Eastern Pokemon Center went open with a silent 'swooosh' to allow Shiva stepping out into the clean air of traditional Cress City, a velvet curtain of darkness was already resting on the town in pleasant silence. Roughly two hours after the sun went down. The nocturnal sky was decorated with an immense number of stars looking down onto the world, thanks to the low light pollution here Shiva was able to greet them with a meaningful look as she turned her gaze upwards, all while imprecibly sucking in the chill, it was pretty refreshing after all the wamth during the day.

Regardless of how cold it may yet become, Shiva will stay warm as she's wearing her Ranger's cloak (due to Eternally Gold in its pocket, her own Vitality is locked to 3 but in return her Defense can't be lowered nor raised [how could she do that, actually?], in case 'anything' may target her directly). By her sides, were her butterwolfly who was giving out a faint light due to his natural bioluminiscence as well as a small cloud of shield dust; as well as leader-Furret who was a little too big to have him on her shoulder.

As the small group's leader (Shiva) spotted a familar young man in orange hair and cuddly green tweed sweaters, a coy yet honest smile formed on her expression, and in a graceful movement she was right by his side with a waving cloak. At first, she didn't say anything and simply rejoiced in silence that he appeared to the agreep time and place, but eventually she softly spoke up. "Ven, dearest, good evening! It's good to see that you've...came in the end to accompany me on my trip."

That was indeed all that came from her, for now she's respectfully ignoring that Misdreavus by Ventus' side as he instead let an occupied Great Ball fall into her palmed hand from the long sleeve of the cloak, before in a familiar white light her own Ghost Type has been summoned to join as well - it was Shiva's Litwick, and she summoned it onto the back of her hand, enjoying the eerie glow of his bluish-purple flame that he soon elighted upon being summoned. True story, she knows that not too long ago her love himself had problems with a Chandelure (she rememebers), but she trusts in him not being put on edge as 1. he already knows and even fed life force to her Litwick and 2. Shiva's Litwick has nothing to do with the Ghosts at the Candelabra.

Mechanics:
Meeting up with Ventus all prepared to depart, not saying a thing or even react to Malphena at first from Shiva's side. That Cleanse Tag is close by Shiva in another inner pocket of her Ranger's cloak, so definitely 'in effect'(?). How do Malphena and Litwick react, can they 'feel' that Tag, @Iron?

At last, Shiva gets a reaction out of the Cleanse Tag! When waved before Malphena, the symbols begin to glow with the faintest light, and Malphena blanches! She won't come near Shiva without a Will roll and strict orders!

(@Dragonstrike, just in case to have Heart catch Shiva to ask for her help, I will think both Heart and Nathan finish the conversation and Heart follow his path to the pokemon Center to meet Shiva. Feel free to Flashback mate!)

After finishing his conversation with Nathan Warren, Heart enter the Pokemon Center, waiting for Shiva to return and say the results of his battle against Tanuki and his wish to try again. And ask her help to evolve Viktor to his next form as Trevenant since he cant teach worry seed later. Since Trevenant learns Horn Leech when evolve, that ofencive move might help. And ask her to help teach Phantump to learn Worry Seed.

That.... that was actually pretty much what Shiva hoped for in silent: A hint that that enchanted piece of wood she started with was no ordinary enchanted piece of wood anymore! Out of her previously coy smile a mischievously-playful one developed as Malphena (for an outsider) without any obvious reason flinched away strongly from her.

"Do not worry, Miss Malphena....", she carefully told to greet that Ghost, "you'll notice that I'm less scary without that cloak on me at the moment."

Heart balance his head. "Unfortunately it can't. Maybe it is because it's a Delta variant with the flying typing. And even it could, it is very much unlikely to obey. He is very much disobedience." Then Heart stop for a second than talk again, holding the a pokeball. "Nathan, did you...have problems when you caugh Orthos and make him a member of your team? I mean, I already meet Delta species before, but I never own one to me. Is there any tips you could give to me?"

"Also I may try again fight against Tanuki. This time a little more prepared. And I would want to ask if you by chance know where is Shiva. I would to ask her to make a trade with me to help Viktor finally to evolve." Viktor sit in Heart shoulder. "I plan to use him in my next Pokemon battle along with Patrat. Since normal don't effect Ghost. She might have a few Dark Moves but I still want to try my luck."

Flashback!

"Uh huh...well, it's stiil an Onix, so I suppose it can probably still burrow even if it can't use the move...particularly if it's from Mt. Sentry...Flying type, though...how odd for a pokemon that lives underground..."

Nathan's thinking to himself for the most part.  It takes him a moment to realize Heart just asked him a question.

"...huh?  Oh, Orthros?  Hmmm...well, technically, yes, but no.  I was a little worried at first, but he understood that we both didn't have any real reason to trust each other to start with, so he behaved himself without complaint.  Partly because Starmie had demonstrated that it could OHKO a rather...large Delta Houndour previously.  Delta Houndour are a lot more...rowdy than their normal variant.  They're a lot more loyal as well when you've earned their trust, though, and from what I've observed, are more trusting if you have a lot of friends you have a strong bond with.  These days, I'm more worried about...others causing a scene and calling him a monster and such.  No reason to call him a monster when he's not done anything since leaving his former pack behind of his own accord..."

Nathan trails off.  Heart might find it interesting that Nathan seems to be implying there's even more Delta Houndour out there somewhere...

...and then he gets back on track.

"...unfortunately, that's just how I managed Orthros.  It won't necessarily apply to training an Onix.  Every pokemon is different, so unless I get to meet this Onix of yours and get a feel for its likes and dislikes, I can't necessarily tell you how I might go about curbing that disobedience.  Really, Deltas are just like any other pokemon.  Treat them like you would any other pokemon, and you'll probably get along just fine."

Nathan scratches his head.

"Shiva?  Uh...no, actually.  I've not seen her at all day.  No idea where she might be."

He shrugs.  "Well, hang around the Eastern Center's lobby, and you'll definitely see her at some point.  That's really all I can say on that."

The empath returns her smile with a sweet and charming one of his own, which did well to mask his anxiety about their upcoming sooree into the Graveyard on top of him actively hiding his true feelings away from her discretely. He rather emphatically did NOT want to tango with anymore Ghost so soon after dealing with Chandelure, but that desire was outweighed by the even more distressing thought of Shiva facing such spector alone, so he would do what must be done in his opinion. 'Please Reshirim, let not malicious Ghost type plague our exploration of the Graveyard....'

Shiva summoning Litwick garnered no visible/invisible reaction from the researcher (besides a respectful nod towards it) for much of the same reasons his girlfriend assumed, but also with the added fact that he had Malphena by his side should it try anything remotely devious. Already she was regarding it with scrutiny, eyes squinted at the smol candle spirit with an expression that plainly said: 'I've got my eyes on you, bub!' Having taken care of Chandelure and it minons with STUNNING grace and power alongside Haunter, she was confidant she could dispatch them in short order if the need arose, but it always payed to be cautious unless you wanted a great big unpleasant surprise to happen! Once it proved itself trustworthy, perhaps she could become friends with it in the future, but until then she going keep a healthy suspicion of it, hmm!

That display caused the empath to raise both eyebrows briefly, before he swooping up his 'horrifying' little sister and does his best to soothe her by combing a hand through her hair. When her own Litwick decided flee and cower in his own embrace too (technically, since they are now hiding behind Malphena), that caused him to blink a few times and shake his head in wonder. Yeap, the Cleanse Tag has proved to be quite effective after all!

"It seems you've done a fine job constructing that charm, my love. Pray tell, do you have plans to make more for the rest of the group? I myself desire to have one in the future, but I have no pressing need for one now at the moment. Hopefully that won't change as we journey through Mt. Sentry or the Graveyard and leave me suddenly wanting for one, though....."

His sister gave him an increadulous look at the thought of OWNING one of those nasty wards (For the time being ignoring the fact that she was in close proximity with Litwick; she couldn't blame it for hiding from THAT!), but reassured her by patting them on the head and saying: "I wouldn't dream on using it on you, Malphena, so worry not....."

And that would help take care a bit of Onix behavior since he is a bit disobedience. And that could help us in our journey to Mt. Sentry. We could do tomorrow if you do not gave plans. How it sounds?"
