Concerning the Pokemon Selection...
"...I am trying to factor in the fact that Valder can carry two extra pokemon. Between all 5 of us, that's 30 pokemon we can carry. I can loan out Starmie, both Combee, and Grid without any issues for the most part. I can potentially loan Yule to Shiva because he likes her, but he'll want to stay close to Swiftfire whenever possible, I'm sure. The Combee will also want to stay close together as often as possible. My other pokemon, I can't make any guarantees they'll behave for a long period of time if we end up separated. I have..."
*looks at notes and counts*
"...32 pokemon listed. Which 2 are going to be the least necessary?" Nathan glances at Gargryph. He's still waiting to see how...and if...it will go about healing Heart...
- Ralts (Hypnosis, Lucky Chant, Heal Pulse, can heal himself, not leaving Nathan's party, period)
- Calam the Absol (Dark type, danger sense and Future Sight, very strong, VERY fast)
- Starmie (Illuminate and a Water type)
- Solomon the Slowking (knowledgeable, Hidden Power, Water type)
- Yule the Skiddo (Vine Whip, sturdy mount if anyone is having trouble walking)
- Swiftfire the Rapidash (dim light source, sturdy mount if anyone is having trouble walking, can generate money over a long period of time with Pay Day)
- Zippy and Princess the Combee (can help gather food and water)
- Grid the Galvantula (Can spin webbing and generate electricity if needed)
- Ditto (self explanatory)
- Lilith the Gothitelle (knows many important things according to the Shelter, Future Sight, but somewhat Disobedient)
- Tropius (produces fruit, can fly the group over gaps they otherwise couldn't pass, strong Grass type, sturdy mount if anyone is having trouble walking)
- Furret (navigator, bulky, Me First)
- Azu the Azumarill (Helping Hand, Huge Power, Water type, chipper)
- Yena the Poochyena (Keen sense of smell, tenacious, slightly bioluminescent due to a genetic oddity, Dark type)
- Cottonee (Grass and Fairy type, can heal herself)
- Gustav the Clawitzer (Water type, Heal Pulse, Mega Launcher)
- Rose the Infernape (dim illumination, very strong attacker at the expense of her own safety)
- Patrat (navigator, sharp eyesight)
- Delta Onix (Can burrow, but is disobedient. Ditto's help is probably necessary)
- Trevenant (scary tree, can heal himself)
- Gargryph (Healing ability can heal himself and allies)
- Theo the Pawniard (Dark type, Defiant, sharp blades for etching stone)
- Haunter (Ghost, Hypnosis)
- Frogadier (Water type)
- Mamo the Mamoswine (big and strong)
- Raphael the Togekiss (versatile)
- Aspis the Arbok (bulky and versatile)
- Michael the Breloom (very strong, easy to heal)
- Lucifer the Noibat (bat pokemon)
- Malphena the Misdreavus (Ghost, Icy Wind)
- Abaddon the Wobbuffet (self explanatory)
Concerning Supplies...
"...if we have a few Hurtloams, then we just need a Max Potion if an emergency occurs, assuming everyone already has the Potions, Super Potions, and Antidotes handy. That's going to be $500 per person if we split the cost of one equally."
Nathan spends a few minutes copying some of his notes, then hands out a checklist to everyone.
[ ] Lots of Food and Water (store extra in pokeballs to carry more)
[ ] Light sources (Flashlights, headlamps...)
[ ]Climbing Gear (pitons are particularly useful. Can be used in combination with metal nets the local pokemart sells to hold back rock slides)
[ ] A couple balls of kite string
[ ] Digging tools
[X] Pokemon that can summon or find food and water
[X] Pokemon that can burrow and/or Dig
[X] Pokemon that can act as a light source (Illuminate, Fire types...)
[X] Pokemon that can heal others (Heal Pulse, Milk Drink, Softboiled, Wish...)
[X] Pokemon that can help in additional ways
[ ] Repels? (Would need a lot to be useful for a long period of time)
[ ] Clothes that keep us warm [Nathan's very glad Shiva thought of that]
[ ] Pokeballs! Many many Pokeballs.
[ ] Many Potions, some Super Potions, some Revives/Hurtloam, a Max Potion?, many Antidotes
[ ] Digital recording devices (might be useful for recording info)
A scoff is issued at Nathan's continued obstinacy, along with a frown firmly etched into his face as he tried his best to resist the urge to leave the meeting and their foolishness.
".....My point and everyone's still stands, Nathan, and it would serve you best to keep that in mind going forward. Your actions with Ralts were unacceptable regardless of perspective, no matter how much you wish to avoid the issue altogether, so don't let this happen again. "
That statement being rather severely declared, Ventus falls into a semi-disgruntled silence as he motioned for the boy to continue, his former good mood mostly eradicated by the turns the meeting took. If it wasn't for Shiva's and Cottenee hidden or not reassurance, he'd entirely be a sour puss at this point, so thank Reshirim for their support!
Concerning Pokémon Selection:
When it came time to offer their opinions on least necessary Pokémon to bring on the trip, the researcher responded in an calm and even tone that carried none of the weariness and animosity he currently felts towards the boy.
"My recommendation to exclude Zippy and Princess still stands, as Tropius can supply fruit daily and Gustav can supply claw meat intermidately , and enough supplies can be purchased between us that we won't run out of food if we ration carefully. Water will not be an issue either with three of the type on our team. I would also like to advice Valder to store away Mamo for this trip, as they pose an even great threat to potential cause cave ins with Earthquake than Hanael with Magnitude. If they agree, then another Pokémon can be selected to join the expedition. Otherwise, use of Earthquake should be prohibited in all but the most dire circumstances. Of course, this is assuming that Valder wishes to accept our Pokémon, so we still need his input on this, or otherwise sacrfices will be made. My earlier compromise is still on the table too."
Concerning Medical Supplies:
"*Looks at list, and nods his head in response* Agreed. I'm willing to contribute $500 Poke to buy the Max Potion, or $1000 Poke if anyone of us can not or does not want to chip in for some reason (IE: @Nylon , if Valder wants to keep his Poke, say so!) . I'm willing to buy the Digging Tools, 2 Repels, and enough Supplies, Pokeballs, and Potions to cover my own needs and wants. My wardrobe has plenty of sweaters and cold weather clothing that I'm happy to share among the group, and I have a durable digital camera and several memory cards for it."

Heart nod his head in agreement. "I agree. I willing to give 500 Pokedollars too to help the buying of the Max Potions. And I think I will buy the Climbing gear and the Light sources like Flashlights and healamps. As much I have Rose who can provide both light and climbing abilities, our other pokemons dont have such ability, so its better be safe than sorry. Lets see what we still need..." Than Heart look the list. "Lots of food and water, a couple of balls string, repels, many pokeballs, many heal items in general, etc."
Heart search his bag and take out a few food and show to everyone: dark fancy chocolate, exotic nuts, dried fruit and Berries, fancy brioche bread for sammiches, along with fresh greens like kale and bright purple lettuce, fine ground mustard, slices of fish or lab-grown meat. Cheese slices in a couple flavors. Rich creamy peanut butter or hazelnut butter, sweet jam from any fruit desired, Blood oranges imported from other regions or bananas grown on Tropius. Power bars. Mild organic energy drinks in glass bottles and cheese in string form or wedge form for snacking. He open a big smile and say. "I think this is enough food. I buy this food before our way out from Star City. Still very flesh to our adventure."

Carefully and thankfully, Shiva collect the 500$ from everyone and stores it away alongside a note of what she'll buy tomorrow morning. (Added to Quickpage of charasheet, purchase list got papernoted)
That means, before departure, she'll have to/want to:
- check mails to see whether her father replied by now to this morning's mail
- write/call Golda concerning Vaporeon as tomorrow 6 Days have passed since she left the Eeveelution there and we don't know hold long we'll stay inside Mount Sentry
- retrive that book from Mr. Finder and inform him of the departure being planned in the morning instead in the afternoon
- teleport to Stair City to buy stuff in their Department Store
- teleport back to swap her party for the departure
"I'll restock on durable healthy food like nuts, dried fruit, crackers, such things. If anyone's allergic, let me know now, please. Hmm... at least two balls of kite string I should have among my Crafting Material, my cell covers digital recording and flashlight, I'll see whether I can't find some basic excavation materials during my purchases."

Its not have so many information about the full extension of Gargryphs powers. There only a few Gargryphs around, and they appear time from time. I only was able to read the little information know: Ability, typing and the few moves know by him. I didnt even know he could use Rebuild to heal another ally. I may be a Pokemon Rare Collector, but I dont know everything. Perhaps a test would be good." Then I show the arm and ask Nathan. "Hit me with a move. Anyone. I vow myself to test that ability of Gargryph. Just to see if works just like last time."
"Alright, you asked for it then...Confusion."
It happens really, really fast. Probably faster than everyone was expecting.
Confusion on Heart! (this might sting a little because Nathan's not holding back!)
Accuracy: 5 Dex + 3 Fight + 3 Canalize = 11 D6
Damage: 2 Power + 3 Strength + STAB - 3 Defense = 3 D6 (Ralts isn't holding the Pearl right now)
Effect: Confusion (1) [FYI, I take no responsibility if this Confuses Heart]

Yep, that Ralts is definitely able to use Psychic moves.
*roll*
It hurts juuuuust a teensy bit less than you might have expected, but you're not very confident about that. Maybe Ralts is just hesitant to hurt you.
Heart then try to hold together after that attack. "You jerk. You could at least warn next time when use such move." Heart bring Gargryph out of his pokeball. "Gargryph. Could you use the same trick you did before to heal me? That ability to heal with rocks I mean. If you could please." Heart show the wounds of Confusion attack.
(@Iron)
I skimmed through everything and now I'm just going to get to it in the order presented; might be a bit jumbled.
Obedience: (5)(4) vs (3)(2)(4)
Gargryph holds back on his attack (not actually necessary at his current strength).
(2)(4)(1)(3)(3)(1)(6)(3)(4)
(1) Heart takes no damage. Heart now has the Rebuild ability.
Heart's eyes glaze over with a stony surface, though he finds himself still able to see! Not as easily observed as healing a cut would have been, but it does seem like Heart is less pained/tired after a very brief time.

Hmmm...would Nathan recognize that as a Hidden Power without having to ask Heart what moves Gargryph knows, @ Iron?
Regardless, he does have another question for Gargryph.
"Could I ask you to try using that move and a more powerful one on my friend here (Nathan gestures to Ralts), Gargryph? I want to see if it works on pokemon too. That could be really useful if it does. Or do you already know if it does or not?"

Pokemon are rather literal (some might say stupid) and Rose is loyal, so it definitely looked like she was about to deliver a Mach Punch for a second there. The only reason Heart had enough time to call off such a fast attack was that Rose, an honorable fighter, wasn't sure Heart knew it was inappropriate, and looked to him momentarily for confirmation.

Valder insists on doing this. He calls out Theo for his claws and waits expectantly, hoping to get the stone.
(I'm not too late am I?)
(Assuming Valder can...and no, you're not too late, Nylon.)
Nathan passes a pen and a blank sheet of paper to Valder, interested but cautious. "Would you mind showing us what you'll be drawing, then? We only have the one stone chunk, and I don't know how Tanuki and her Zigzagoon will react if we...alter it."
(@Iron. What symbols does he inscribe?)
Valder tries his best to use the pen correctly, since he's not familiar with pens and other writing utensils. He nods thoughtfully to himself, not aware of the horrible scribble he just made and passes the paper over.
"After that we'll turn the stone counter clock-wise and follow it.
Valder has drawn a heart within a star, a keyhole-like rune, a circle overlapping a filled-in circle, a hooked line, a spiral, an angular bug's head, a complex leaf rune (this takes the longest), an eye like you might find on a sarcophagus, a little thing that looks like Navi, a series of arcs of increasing size, and finally, this:
Valder didn't do a very good job with the line art, but it's pretty amazing that he remembered all those symbols. They seem to flow out of his hand like they were just waiting to come free.

Looking at your lists of Pokemon, I didn't see any that would absolutely hate being underground or be particularly unsuited (aside from Earthquake/Magnitude, as you already noted)
