[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Rivalry
Tackle, Charge, Swagger, Thunder Fang, Wild Charge.

Whoa.  Wild Charge.  This Shinx has seen some rough times if he knows THAT move...coupled with Charge and Rivalry, he's a real powerhouse...

...though the moment he encountered a Ground type, all he'd be able to use is Tackle and Swagger.  Wonder if he just ran every time he encountered one, or hadn't learned his lesson the hard way yet...

Well, not going to matter much right now.  He just lost to a Ground using Grass type, so lesson half learned, maybe?

Anyways, Solomon gets to wipe the area clean of Shinx's scent with Water Gun now!  That's one path taken care of.  Probably not the way they need to go if he had to guess, but clearing it is a good warmup.  It's only going to get harder from here...

Back in the main room...

Nathan left Calam with Mr. Finder while he was dealing with Shinx.  Calam's lurking around the entrance to the puzzle corridor primarily, but still keeping an eye on things.  Nathan's waiting for Ventus and Valder to turn back up.  Mainly so Ditto can get a good look at Shinx before the lion inevitably gets sent to Bill's PC.  Nathan has Ralts use Heal Pulse once on Shinx in the meantime since the little guy is being such a good sport about the deal (if a little grumpy about getting totally obliterated.  Losing to a non-ground type is probably suuuper frustrating for him). How much HP is healed doesn't matter too much if Shinx is gettin' sent to the PC in a little bit, but hey, Nathan's bein' nice to the little guy.

It's nice being back in the dim lighting provided by Swiftfire. Though now Shinx's tail is providing a small amount of light, too.

(In that case, going to use the drain strategy)

Heart give the mostly important strategy to finish off this battle. "Viktor! Rose did her best to reduce a lot of Crustle damage! Lets finish what she have started! Use Horn Leech to drain the HP from that Crustle when he use Rock Wrecker! And then when is recharging, use Horn Leech two more times! Lets finish this!"

Horn Leech Accuracy: Dex (3) + Fight (3) + Brawl (3) - Actions (3/4/5) = 6d6/5d6/4d6
Damage: Power (3) + STR (3) + STAB (1) + Miracle Seed (1) - Vitality (5) = 3d6 (Yes, Viktor is equipped with Miracle Seed)
Effect: Gain HP equal to half the damage
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

The diggers finish clearing the debris as well, leaving only Shiva's choice of a Pokemon to be badly poisoned by Golbat's attack.

It seems the depths of Mt. Sentry are going to be quite the gauntlet.

Heart fall in his kneels, exausted after that battle. That battle was really difficult and almost impossible to win. That Crustle was indeed strong and powerfull. Heart was really tempt to capture Crustle...but he decided not. Instead he do something different. Heart bring out Gustav but he let Viktor still out of the pokeball. "Gustav, could you please use Heal Pulse one time to bring back conscius this Crustle? Just enough to not let him completely out of mercy and pay for the great battle. And to let me talk with him. I make a oath with the Eremit of Earthpower to help protect nature, and this Crustle is part of nature." Then he see Viktor. "If he do something violent, you can use Horn Leech in him."

Mechanic: Bring back to conscious and talk with him.

Just like a Potion, Heal Pulse cannot bring a fainted Pokemon back. You figure when (if) Crustle wakes up, he will be in a mood to retreat as fast as possible.

(Computer is having a shit fit, so post coming from phone , which is going to be brief)

@Dragonstrike

After finishing clearing passage way of debree and counted out/divided up the total haul of gems  into roughly equal Poke valued portions , Ventus put away his mining gear, gave a high five to his brother and returned the for all their hard work,  and returned to the group's current central location. Wen Nathan arrived with Shinxhe Ave both men a friendly wave in greeting first, and then returned Ditto back into their care (still holding th Sablenite !) , Accepting Grid back in exchange. He then left them to their own devices and took up watch with Calam , intent on keeping group aware and safe from threats!

GM Edit: Ventus asked to divide the gems so that $800 goes to @Nylon, Nathan, and Ventus.

Heart shrugle his shoulders and decided then to keep the Heal Pulse to another time. Heart then decided to capture that Crustle. He would at least be threat in the pokemon center.

Action: Throw two pokeballs to capture the overgrow Crustle. Remeber he is fainted and Confuse.

(Yeah, wish I wasn't posting from a mobile device too, but ah well...)

Nothing to add to the reexchange stuff. (Other than wondering how you're splitting two small rubies worth 1200 apiece into three worth 800 apiece...)

Seeing Ditto is nomming on some kind of gem, Nathan obviously asks to see the gem himself.

...he has to blink a few times to make sure he's not seeing things.  Is that...a raw Mega Stone?!

Red and purple swirls...it looks like it could be a Sablenite...if it is, then the stone would be primarily yellow in color as well, with red and purple swirls inside.  Nathan can think of another red and purple mega stone, though...but it's primarily red with purple swirls inside, and he's only ever seen it in a 'dream'...(can Nathan tell if the stone has the Yellow color? EDIT: Turns out it's Sablenite after all.)

Either way, he is holding on to this.  This isn't your ordinary, everyday find by a long shot.  Not even mentioning that this Mega Stone is definitely one of the rarer ones in Creshire.

"...great find, Ditto.  Sending ya on that gem hunt was a great idea, it seems.  Shame you probably can't use this yourself, though..." (Transformed pokemon can copy Megas in the games, but they can't actually mega evolve if they Transform into the base species and are holding the appropriate Mega Stone.  Same probably still applies here unless the GM says otherwise)

Nathan then sends Shinx to the PC.  When Heart shows up with rather heavily (but not lethally) injured pokemon, he'll have Ralts use Heal Pulse once on Gustav.  "I'd advise you keep him away from the front lines for a little bit, just in case we need him later.  I have to spread out Ralts's healing so he doesn't wear himself out too quickly.  You know, just in case we have an emergency later."

Oh yeah, right, Calam. He's as wary and skeptical of Ventus as ever. He doesn't do anything in particular if/when Ventus gets closer, but he always maintains at least a little distance while still trying to stay close to the spots he wants to be in. He knows very well how much Ventus likes the 'magically inclined', and Calam, being in tune with that stuff more than most pokemon are, is justifiably wary of the man and would prefer to keep his distance.
