[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
And what pokemon should stay out to protect us during the night. Each one of us should at least put one or two pokemon to protect us. I think Rose, Calam, Tropius and Lucifer should take guard.

Rose: Offencive power, agility and ability to quick climb places.
Calam: Capable to predict possible dangers and hight insticts.
Tropius: Flying to look possible enemies and good grass typing to beat Rock and Ground dangers.
Lucifer: Bats have a good radar using sound in dark places so I believe Lucifer have something similar.

Thats my choices of protection.

- If we're in a confined space instead of an open one, Tropius won't exactly be able to fly, unfortunately. :/  Tropius also aren't particularly well suited for living in caves, so the biggest advantages it would have are its bulk and its typing.  Still good advantages to have if it's not wounded, though.

- We also have to keep in mind that if we do set up a watch, those doing so need to take turns so everyone can get enough sleep (a full 8 hours) and recover.  And whoever's keeping watch will probably be primarily relying on the pokemon in their own party if they need to fight something, since the others will be resting.

- We don't have to set up a watch for the night, but I think it might be a good idea in the long run.  The tent's built-in repellent might not work on stronger wild pokemon.  Nathan's pretty good at early alerts since he has Calam and Ralts to help out, and his large dice pools mean he can take an additional -1 or -2 accuracy penalty without being too heavily crippled combat wise/mechanically (his main attacks currently have 11 D6 base for accuracy).

- And the other thing to remember is the natural healing.  1 HP every 8 hours (roughly 3 encounters, though the encounters don't include the misc everyday stuff automatically done at other times), and 3 HP for overnight in the tent (assuming they get the full 8 hour rest).  Fainted pokemon regain 1 HP (instead of 3) and wake up after 8 hours.

Ah, I hope anyone at the Violet Tent will be able to help identifying that goo then, as I feel that Shiva would - will - totally do that.

I've stated that Shiva's somewhat exhausted do she'll likely gently refuse to take watch, but she has Dizzy who can do so. She'd rather keep Tropius with her tonight though.

I'm also very aware of the natural healing, no need to remind on that please.... However, my notes tell me that overnight 5hp are healed if the rest's undisturbed, not 3 - I know I made these notes the first time you stated numbers for this healing, @Iron - but for clarifiation from GM' side, what's correct now?

I'm reminding everyone, Phantom, not just you.

Whoops.  You're right, it's 5 for uninterrupted overnight.  Silly me, not checking my own notes and trying to do this off memory.

Means the Heal Pulse stuff isn't quite as important for the pokemon with 8 or less max HP if the rest is undisturbed, but I still think doing some patching up at the end of the day is a good habit to get into.

Hmmm...alright, so I did some info digging while I was bored. Damaged pokemon in the group right now are:
Gustav: 4/8
Koa: 5/7
Furret: 6/11
Tropius: 2/10
Lilith: 8/9
Theo: 3/6
Dizzy: 4/7(???) (took 3 damage, those Spinda had 2 Strength, hit him with STAB Tackles that had 2 D6 each in the final damage pool...Dizzy has 3 Vitality, but I don't know if he has any HP boosting surprises)

Not too bad overall. Aside from Tropius, they should all heal fully overnight (this isn't including the 1-2 HP of natural recovery from the 8 hour periods). We have 1-2 Heal pulses from Ralts left, and 4-6 Mega Launcher Heal Pulses from Gustav and Ditto.

So, the main question is who gets some Heal Pulses at the end of the day, just in case? Koa, Dizzy, Theo, and Lilith won't have any pain by the end of the day due to natural recovery, so we can probably hold off on healing them. Tropius definitely should get a Heal Pulse from Gustav/Ditto. I think Ralts can use his last 1-2 Heal Pulses on Gustav and Furret to try and top them off, or at least get them close to topped off.

Does that sound reasonable to you guys?

EDIT: Whoops, forgot that some of that damage was only just dealt in encounter 3. That puts Theo, Furret, and Dizzy slightly higher on the 'needs healing' priority list than I first thought. Ralts could use a Heal Pulse on Theo and/or Dizzy, and Gustav/Ditto could use theirs on Furret and Tropius.

Ah, it does sound reasonable. And thanks for that PM!~
I was just about to make a post that'll include which of my Pokemon are asked to be healed with a Heal Pulse, will see.

Just made some edits to my reasoning.  Forgot that a lot of that damage was in encounter 3, so the natural healing throughout the day thing isn't quite as much of a factor for the pokemon that got damaged there.  Whoops. :/

I THINK it should be correct now, though.

@Dragonstrike

Sounds fair to me. Koa its not in a critical situation thanks to the Antidote, and Tropius really need a good Healing. Along with Gustav and Furret who have the worse situation (even holding Lethal Damage, Gustav was serious wounded and the only think who survive him was the Ground-typing).
