[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

And we wasted an encounter slot doing so.  Entirely.  Followed by wasting two more just to get around the problem.  I screwed it up because I rushed it.  *sigh*

And Nathan's going to feel miserable about this whole thing to boot.

To me it doesn't really feel like he has a good reason to feel miserable about it... And if it prooves necessary, Shiva will make that clear to him later.

Hey, I was willing to waste an Encounter slot on Durant/Turiel if my negotiating didn't work, and with them, Ditto, and Lucifer it may be possible to shave an Encounter of digging around them if Iron permits. That, and keeping them unfainted and collapsing the entrance to our tunnel will force the Scims to have to brain themselves on rocks and explosions first, weakening them up and maybe even killing a few so that the group doesn't have to handle them! Not all that bad, really.

Considering that it should take in game weeks to reach where we are heading unless I start using Lucifer Tailwind + mounts to speed up party progress (With Iron's permission, of course), so wasting a couple of Encounters every now and them isn't all THAT bad. Since Nathan also has a high DEX pool, he could just take an Extra Encounter or two for himself to 'make up' for tunneling around the Carbink and Geodude.

S'all about thinking ahead and creatively here, mate. We are in for the long haul, both in AND out of Mt. Sentry. We can afford a few stumbles here or there, so long as they don't cripple us to the point of uselessness.

Yes, I think Lucifer and Ditto together would reduce 1 encounter from that. They could take turns relieving each other of the hardest duties. I'm already assuming that humans are around to stack any rubble or other small tasks that needs doing.

Scimitars can simply become/send in 'Ghost types' and be outright immune to the explosions entirely, or potentially use techniques that make them immune to the damage regardless of their 'type'.  They're not gonna care about a couple of explosion happy Geodude, and Carbink is gonna get mauled by any Steel using ones.

*Nods* Alright, I'll encorporate that into the post I'm typing up as I type this one up, Iron! I also assume that Rose and other Pokémon can do their own part in helping make things more convenient/easier for the Durant Duo + Lucifer Tailwind Excavation, but that's just a odd thought I had.

Three words: Explosive Cave In. Even if the Scims rebuff their assault, it still delays and forces them to consume reasons dealing with them, and if they all go BOOM! , no doubt that the tunnel they are in is going to suffer some major structural integrity. If we really wants to be risky dicks about it, we could also ask Mamo to cave in or seriously weaken the tunnel that Carbink is in so that any major fighting/BOOMs brings down the place on their steel plated heads.

If all that doesn't work, so what? Its expectant that the group is going to clash with the Scims again at SOME point during their treck, so its not as if we are unprepared for them.

Alright, does anyone in the group have any Fireglass shards on their person? I know Ven doesn't, but the of the group might, and Mr. Finder is still a relative wild card in terms of what he has.
