Now that Ventus expresses his sentiments... It doesn't sound like a bad idea actually as a whole, but nevertheless Shiva does not feel well with the thought to face a dozen of 'them'. Understanding that he's rather displeased and needs to cope with that wrath he earlier felt, she'll leave him alone as desired without feeling bad or sad, but she hopes that he'll be better when it comes to taking a nightwatch which she'll volunteer today.

The thought of killing these Solosis to securely deal with them... Shiva does throw a thoughtful glance over to her butterwolfly tearing the Noctowl-feather into pieces. She did wanted to try hunting with him, and Ven promised to take her on a trip to do so... She herself has no real means to destroy whatever device they bear if encountering one all alone, and wouldn't enjoy coming to the others with it EVERY SINGLE TIME.... And these Solosis without will are dead for her already... And it'd save food she could share between her other Pokemon. Hohumm.

(That means we now have 3 out of 5 people of the group for moving on, Iron. Sufficient, I guess, but maybe Ventus or Valder still would like their input in a flashback.)

(...) Heart make a serious face of determination. "I take that job. I be training and sharping my stealth skills here in Mt. Sentry for quite a while, and I the more furtive of the group. And have sharp a little my alert instict, so I may be capable of detect any danger ahead. And in case I receive any serious damage, I still have potions with me and have Gustav to use Mega Launcher as a last resource. And still have the Hurtloam and Revive in case my pokemons get faint. So I am very much ready for some dangers."

This opening earns a worried and somewhat....not too happy look from Shiva that she holds on Heart for a little longer than what'd be usual, before she speaks up to him in a lower voice than before. "If you're sure about that.... Then I guess we won't be able to stop you. But please, keep it limited and be careful. If your Pokemon faint, you can heal them. If YOU faint... We cannot do anything if you're not nearby and we don't even know where you are, your Pokemon won't know what to do and worse.... Ugh. Please don't let the danger overwhelm you, Heart. Okay?"

(Bah, sleeping in after a busy night and a whole lot of posts came up. Oh well, time to make an abridged one...)

-Ventus is a bit charinged and angry at the news that not only were their well over a dozen Scimitars, but they were cowardous enough to hang back all the way at the beginning of their mountain trail. He expresses such sentiments to the group, as well as his frustrations at the games they were playing.

-Unlike the rest of the group, Ven still advocates going after the Scimitars. He cites that while doing  so would require taking them aaalll the way back and force them to tango with aaalll of them, leaving them alone was certainly going to cause more trouble than not, that dealing with their Solosis scouts/spies was a stop gap measure at best and a drain on resources unless they started killing them, and that since they know the general path up to this point they can quickly move through it at double speed. He also points out that since they have Repels going through the mountain would not be such an issue, and that by going all the way back and taking care of the Scims they could escort the police to them and prevent them from getting away + go back into town and re-stock on supplies like spent Pokeballs. He's fairly adamant about his choice, and wouldn't be swayed by their arguments.

-However, once it became apparent that the party favored the 'Ignore and Deal With the Scimitars as Needed' approach and continue onwards, his expression grows stony and thunderous, his eyes hardened, and he goes completely silent. He's extremely displeased with that plan of action, but due to group majority vote he goes along with it under duress. Because of it, though, he doesn't want to directly interact with anyone else in the group and avoid them at all cost, preferring to stay at a distance from everyone while he copes with his impotent rage and distaste with the situation. This lead to him shrugging off Shiva hand, standing up and telling everyone he'll begin packing up camp now that a course of action has been decided upon in a low, angry monotone, before doing as he indicated.

-He doesn't really care about Heart's plan to scout ahead, blowing it off entirely out of angry and the fact that deep down, past his rage, he believes that man is capable enough to just about anything he puts his mind to.

-Ven also make a hidden vow of killing everyone Scimitar Solosis he personally comes across, partially to prevent Nathan from wasting the group's resources and prevent a build up of hostile hostages they would all have to keep track of/take care of, partially out of spite fueled pragmatism towards both the Scimitars and the group.

-Ventus readies himself for the journey after everything is packed, with Malphena by his side with a somewhat worried and upset expression, as her master's behavior was far from what she come to expect and LIKE from him....

In short: Ven's wants to go all the way back and hunt those Scimitars down, but due to group conscesus he's forced to go along with their plan. He's very displeased by this, and as a result seperates himself from the main group and vows to eradicate any of the Scimitar forces should he come across them himself alone/first.

Ready to continue our journey!

Heart smile to Shiva to help her reduce the worries. "Don't need to be worry Shiva. I more thougher than I look. I can't be the comic releaf of the group forever right? You guys already fought many dangers before and put your lifes on the line. It's only natural I should risk myself too. But dont worry: I will not risk reckless and expose myself to danger. Time to deliver that Scimitars the punishment from the PUNisher itself." Heart wide smile.

Heart was startled from the sudden burst of rage from Ventus. Heart was worry, because that rage would made Ventus act reckless and even might hurt/kill himself, or cause damage to the group somehow. Besides, Heart dont need to be a telepathic person to suspect Ventus have aversity towards anything magic/mystic, like the day when theyre meet the Earthpower Wiseman. Heart decides to keep silent about Ventus burst of rage, but decided to keep a eye in any case and act if necessary. Better be prepare than sorry.

"Well people. Since we decided our course of action I think its time to move out. Lets take everything we need than continue to find the Aetherium. We can't those Scimitars go close to us or those Solosis to alert they masters. Do anything what you must to survive people." Than Heart take his amulet with the picture of Dialga, Palkia and Giratina forming some sort of symbol similar to a heart and with Arceus itself as a center of the symbol he always hide in his clothes (that might be the first time Shiva and Ventus see that amulet except Nathan) and look to him for a few seconds. "May the Creation Trio and Arceus Creator of All protect our path." Then Heart hide again before anyone ask something about that and begin to prepare his things for the dangerous task he have in mind. "Its been years since I use my stealth skills. And now these days I sharp them again. Very ironic." Heart muterred to himself.

It's not like Shiva herself has enjoyed putting her life in danger, to her it more feel like the danger has come to them one way or the other, and having survived all the things/made it is nothing to take for granted. How she already contemplated to end things herself back in Corsage Port when she was at her lowest, she rather not lets Heart know, why should she? That smile of his and sentimental to not worry... It doesn't do a thing to reduce her worries, sadly, and his wide smile is met with a somewhat downcasted expression. No words managed to make their way out of her, however, and she eventually averts her gaze to give Yena another stroke behind the ears.

Heart has packed that amulet away without giving a chance to ask, and since Shiva has been raised to be well-mannered and respectful, she won't ask any questions right now. From what she saw, it's quite a pretty piece of jewellery though, no doubts it has a meaning.

Heart scouts ahead and comes back with a report. The coal gives way to strange, narrow tunnels whose ceilings are pierced by extremely hairy roots. In places, the tunnels are made entirely of thick root mats. Little glow-in-the-dark ferns grow from the roots now and then.

When Ventus gets to these roots, he recognizes them as a rare family of ferns. They're called the Tochu Ferns, of which there are thousands of species, none of which are prolific at all. He's never heard of so much root mass in one place, and he is not familiar with this particular species. All roots of this family can be brewed into restoratives, but the process is very time consuming. The brew must be stirred constantly and mixed in with other ingredients at particular intervals and the temperature monitored carefully. You really have to baby it. Luckily, the other ingredients are fairly common and cheap - fiber, phosphorous, fixed nitrogen, iron dust.


Since Heart was successful in his scouting roll, the mandatory encounter will now be avoidable. He noticed lots of Grass types among the roots - mostly Shroomish and Paras.

Nathan is absentmindedly thinking about something after his conversation with Valder.  He, Ralts, and Calam are still trying to keep a careful eye on Solosis, though. Swiftfire's still out for warmth and light.

Of course, walking past with a fire horse is probably going to earn Nathan some attention from Snivy, even if Swiftfire has been ordered to be careful not to burn the plants. Nathan definitely doesn't want to set fire to the entire tunnel...

But since we gonna face whatever the Scimitars might throw to us, I think we should use that opportunity to train a bit (aka farm some good XP). I think thats a good chance to bring Abbandon and Rose to battle. Safeguard can help us quite a lot." Then Heart look to Ventus. "Uh, if you permited of course Ventus. Also, I might need some extra pair of hands to deal to train too." Then Heart look to Shiva. "How about we take care of these pokemon Shiva? Youre pokemon could use some extra training. Not they are weak, but more power is always welcome."

H....how relieving that Heart made it to come back unharmed from his scouting, simply the thought that something could have happened while he was all alone was....well, unpleasant. Now however, she impercibly let go off that breath she was holding without having fully realized.

The tunnel was just like Heart has described, but yet Shiva could not help but to feel awed. First a coal biome with such precious crystals, and now a place filled with roots of various thickness, potentionally filled with Grass Types? She hasn't really imagined that it could be so beautiful down the earth - if it could only be measured how many miles below the surface they currently and by now were. Naturally, these glow-in-the dark ferns have immediately caught her attention, she rest of Heart's words she only listened to half-hearted. These ferns... They don't seem to look like the rare Kobra-tongued fern, and she couldn't spot nor smell any Power Herbs while having her gaze wander along the roots. Only a CUTE Snivy was all calmly wandering along one, how does it survive down here without sunlight? Two Ferroseed were silently busy with absorbing minerals from the cave wall. Humm... Hopefully later down the line Shiva can make it to obtain a few of these ferns (not the roots, these are Ven's) to place them in a small glass jar as a natural light down here, as well as for analyzing it later. A bit like fireflies Volbeats <3

Only when Heart looked at her she perked up as as has just been awoken from a daydream, blinking at him from the side in suprise of being asked to join him in taking care of these Paras and Shoomish. Usually Shiva would be all down for it if there weren't one obstacle she's well aware off - both species are known to release spores upon contact, their effect might be fatal and ranges from sleep over allergies to poison. Ugh... But... "If we can get a Safeguard up before they come at us or we attack 'em, then I'm all down to help you in dealing with these Paras and Shroomish. Let's see how we can..... Ah!" Eagerly, she drew one hand of spicy Pokemon Food, a half of normal Pokemon Food and a half of dried berries from her stuff. "Have you already visited a Safari Zone once, Heart? There, food like this is used as a bait to distract an encountered Pokemon, as battling is usually not allowed within these zones. While I'll try to get as close to them as possible without putting me in too much danger to offer this, you use the moment to cast a Safeguard over us, under which we'll deal with them then. This will protect us from nasty effects of their released spores, and as soon as it fades I can still have Tropius blow any spores away before they'll reach us." ...... "Does that...sound like a plan?"

With that said, the fae-and-grass enthusiast lets her gaze wander over the roots once more, keeping an eye open especially for the hiding spots of Paras and Shroomish. What image/feeling does she get from them, more agressive, more curious, or anythingelse? If it feels safe, she'll try to get as close as possible to then throw the hands of food towards them before returning backwards while Heart prepares that Safeguard, then she'll release her Pokemon to deal with them amongside Rose.
If it does not feel safe... she'll think twice before coming closer, but depending whether they have noticed her or not, avoiding the Encounter might not be possible anymore (?).

Heart open a smile when Shiva tell her plan. "Sounds a awesome plan to me. I have visit Safari Zones before. Not here in Cheshire, but in my travels in other regions I have the chance to visit such places. Its a smart and wise plan, since we dont know what they gonna do when we aproach with our pokemon one hand. And with the surprise, that will give us a nice chance to bring the Safeguard to protect us. With Abbandon powerfull counter moves, Rose and Braixen flames the battle shall be a piece of cake, even more if any of these Paras have Dry Skin. And with Tropius flying typing, they gonna have 0% chance to fight back and can even protect us against any nasty effects. And sneak moves its what I do know best. Time to put in action some stealth attacks, heh. This gonna be a good chance to train some stealth attacks from my part. Lets go ahead with the plan!"

Haaahh, that smile and optimism from Heart's side... How he manages to keep the latter up, despite the seriousness and potential danger they all were in an that these Paras and Shroomish held, was hard to understand for her, but that didn't mean that it wasn't nice to see and hear - it even allured a very weak smile in agreement from her side. As far as Shiva knows, she's not allergic to spores from Pokemon luckily, and has never visited a Safari Zone herself because THERE IS NONE in her homeregion - probably that's why she's so eager to visit Chreshire's Safari Zone herself. However, she read alot about these in other regions.

Humm... How high are the chances that a Paras has Dry Skin in this habitat? The mentioning of Braixen caused a sharp pain run directly through her sensitive heart, but barely to nothing of that was visible on her or audible in her voice. "My fierly fox is....currently not with me, Heart. Sadly.... But, nevermind, you have Rose! If it comes to a battle, I'll indeed use Tropius alongside my Furret." *looking around as if seeking something* "Ah, there you are, Dizzy. Have you listened, will you help me and Heart defeating these Paras and Shroomish lurking between the roots as soon as a Safeguard's up? ....I, well, think we should get along there though... Maybe you can go over to help Ventus instead, your decision."
