Heart use a potion to restore some of the damage Rose have suffer in the previous battle. "We finished a battle just enter another. Rose! Use your Punch's in those rocks to free us! When you bring out Pokemon, the Nuzleaf immediately start launching ranged attacks at your little party.

Nuzleaf Group A: (5) + 3 Dex + 4 Survival = 12
Rose: (5) = 11
Koa: (4) = 10 (11 after dragon dance goes off, presumably your first order)
Nuzleaf Group B: (2) = 9

Despite his foul mood, the sociologist/researcher couldn't help but stare in wonder and fascination at the Nincada slowly burrowed towards the surface, his mind churning as it processed the tell signs were presented to him clear as day.

'Hmm.....making preparations for its Evolution into a Ninjack, just as I expected, which is a perplexing given the species usual life cycle. Did this individual hatch earlier than the norm and is reaching maturity only now, or does it hail from a population of Nincada that have a fast normal generation time? If not those, is something else entirely responsible for this? And what has caused it to become near frozen solid in the first place? My my......I have to study this specimen in great detail....'

With that resolution firmly in mind, the researcher cupped his hand around his mouth and tried to beconned the gelid insect's attention, saying to it: "Nincada, can you hear me? My name's Ventus, and I mean you no harm my friend. Do you mind if I come closer so I can examine you in greater detail? Your current state is quite odd to me, so I wish to try and divine what exactly caused it. I have plenty of food on me and you'll be well protected from any predators while I conduct my examinations, so you'll be duly rewarded if you consent."

(Still using that potion)

"You are nothing but a bunch of cowards. Can't even win a fight without using dirt tricks? I will have 0 mercy from you. Rose! Time to release the power of flames! Use Flare Blitz against the group A of Nuzleafs! Then deliver some good spanks against them with some almighty Mach Punchs! Koa! Continue to use Dragon Dance! (Using Will Point to make it will work!) Then bring the pain with some powerful Dual Chop and Dragon Claw (using 28 XP to use the learn the move, Mold Breaker can wait)! Show them what happens when you dare to mess the path against a almighty dragon! If any of you get hurt potion right away!"

Flare Blitz Accuracy: Dex (3) + Fight (3) + Brawl (3) - Action (4) = 5d6
Damage: Power (5) + STR (3) + STAB (1) + SE (1) = 9D6+1
Effect: Know.

Mach Punchs Accuracy: Accuracy: Dex (3) + Fight (3) + Brawl (3) - Action (5/6) = 3d6/2d6

Dragon Dance Accuracy: Dex (3) + Fight (3) + Perform (0) - Action (4) = 2d6 (using Will point to work)
Effect: Increase Dex and Strength.

Dual Chop Accuracy: Accuracy: Dex (3) + Fight (3) + Brawl (3) - Accuracy (1) - Action (5/6) = 3d6/2d6
Damage: Power (2) + STR (3) + STAB (1) +/- Rivalry (1) = 6d6/5d6
Effect: Double Action. Don't Forget the Razor Claw chance to cause Flinching.

Dragon Claw accuracy: Accuracy: Dex (3) + Fight (3) + Brawl (3) - Action (7) = 2d6
Damage: Power (3) + STR (3) + STAB (1) +/- Rivalry (1) = 7d6/6d6
Effect: None. But still effect by Razor Claws.

Flare Blitz is not a ranged move. Rose won't be able to reach! Same for Mach Punch.

Upon gaining its permission, Ventus carefully moved closers to inspect the Nincade, his analytical gaze sweeping over its gelid form as he pondered what exactly could have caused its state/early evolution, before the answer came to him in short order as all the details and signs fell in place. A semi-startled look crossed his face when he had the realization, before a smile took over as he regarded the insect with a friendly air , temporarily dispelling his angry gloomy attitude!

"Oh, so the tunnel's frigid's temperatures put you into prolonged hibernation, and only now have you managed to awaken and begin your Evolution, but it appears the frost is stilling delaying it. Well, I would be more than happy to assist you in Evolving by letting you spar with my Breloom, and/or lend one of my fluffy sweators to elevate your body temperature! If doing such would be a hinderance or bother to you, though, then I won't impose on you any longer my friend. What do you say, Nincada?" the researcher said, motioning towards his fungal brother with one hand (who puff out their chest in a proud display of their own opinon on their might, orah!) and patting his satchel with the other invitingly with another. He'd never had the chance to witness the evolution of a Nincada personally before, and he genuinely wanted to help the poor fellow out from the plight mother nature put him in, so why not kill two Pidgies with one stone and make such offers to it?

Nincada slowly comes closer. He looks really nervous - you should probably take it easy on him.

Michael: (3)
Nincada: (5) + 1* Dex + 3 Survival = 9

Noticing how timid the frosted Bug was at the prospect of fighting his big brawny brother, Ventus leaned over to them and softly whispered to them: "Normally I wouldn't ask this of you, but would you mind restraining your full might and let them have a fair shot at beating you? A crushing defeat would hardly do its spirits any wonder, nor would a fast pace battle do any good in thawing it out, so be gentle with them alright my brother?" , before waving them onward to confront the Nincada. Michael at first shot them an odd look at their request, as the very concept of 'holding back' and 'fighting fair' were almost entirely foreign concepts to this macho mushroom given how his master normally operates, but in the end they shrugged it off and complied with the demands easily, waltzing onto the battlefield and (once both were readied) began to lightly pummel it with some Mach Punches. If anything, it be a good chanced to flex his muscle without overexerting himself, so let this pseudo sparing session began, ORAH!

Order: Have Michael use Restrained Mach Punches three times per round to try and slowly whittle down/give the Nincada a fair shake, as even using Tackle or Strike would probably be overkill on the poor guy, let alone Façade or Stone Edge! If he falls bellow 3 HP, though, he'll switch to using unrestrained Absorbs to prevent himself from being Fainted. He'll stop attacking them if they are one hit away from being KOed and/or if they wish to stop fighting. He's going to give them a chance, but he's not let them walk all over him if he can help it! If they start evolving mid fight, though, pause combat to see the results!

Moves:

Mach Punch
Accuracy: 9D6 Base - 3/4/5 Actions = 6/5/4D6 Dice
Damage: STR (3) + 2 + STAB - NE - Vitality (2) = 4D6 - 1 Base Damage, which restrained should only be half that, right?
Effect: Priority!

Absorb
Accuracy: Same as Mach Punch
Damage: STR + 1 + STAB - Vitality = 3D6 Damage
Effect: 1 HP Gained per hit, if it damages them.

Nuzleaf Trap Round 1

The first group of two starts things off with some Razor Leafs.

Razor Leaf 1 x3
(2)(3)(1)(3)(3)
(6)(2)(4)(4)(3)
(4)(4)
(1)(4)

Heart takes 3 dmg. Rose and Koa take 1 dmg.

Ember 1
(2)(3)(1)(2)(2) Rose doesn't manage to aim properly through the grate.

Dragon Dance 1
(2)(2) + (6*)
+1 Str +1 Dex for Koa

Razor Leaf 1 from the second group of two.
(3)(3)(4)(6)(5)
(6)(2)(5)(1)(5)
(3)(6)
(3)(6)
Heart takes 2 dmg 4/9hp.
The Pokemon take none.
Heart is forced to hide beneath the roots for cover, where he won't be able to use Potions on the Pokemon without risking being fainted himself.

Razor Leaf 2
(3)(4)(2)(1)
(6)(4)(2)(4)
(6)(1)
(5)(6)
Rose and Koa take 1 dmg

Ember 2
(3)(3)(5)(4)
(1)(6)(3)(5) +1 A Nuzleaf takes 3 dmg. 3/6hp -2 pain.
Burn: (2)

Dragon Rage 2
(5)(1)(5)(5)
That same Nuzleaf takes 2 dmg and flees down the tunnel. 3 remain with full health.
Koa is scary looking, raging against the bars and sending his powerful flames through the bars.

Razor Leaf 2
(1)(1)(2)(1)
(6)(1)(3)(2)
(6)(5)
(4)(2)
Rose and Koa take 1 dmg Both are down 3hp now.

It looks like the Nuzleaf are out of actions, so it's time to really cut through their ranks now!

Ember 3
(3)(4)
(3)(2)(6)(4) A Nuzleaf takes 3 dmg. 3/6hp -2 pain.
Burn: (6)

Dragon Rage 3
(4)(5)(2)
Once again, that teamwork causes a Nuzleaf to run away, its hair on fire. 2 Nuzleaf remain.

Ember 4
(4)
(5)(6)(3)(6) Nuzleaf takes 4 dmg
Burn: (4)

Dragon Rage 4
(3)(5)
That Nuzleaf faints. Only 1 remains, with full health. It's looking decidedly less confident.
