[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

If I would permit my opinion on this topic, Nathan is the last person Heart would like to see. Remember, they both dont like very much each other, and Nathan way in judge others...would not help very much in the situation. Perhaps Ventus or Shiva would help more in this case. Also, Nathan have some serious problem in harsh judge others, and 0% in experience in been sensitive. Nope. Bad idea.

.....Well, that was an intense and uncomfortable reactionary post, but beautifully written none the less that sheds just a little light on that dark and now very forboding past you've been hinting at. My problem with it, though, is the fact that it leaves Heart incapacitated with grief/trauma, which in the end causes the same problem if he had just dragged those Nuzleaf to be slaughtered by Ven/Shiva: its going to cause delays, as the party can't and won't move on without him and finding out just what the hecky happened to them.

If this breakdown happened sometime after the next set of Encounters occurred, or sometime during it, then it wouldn't interrupt the next set of Encounters, and Heart could still choose a third one if he wanted without sacrificing his or the group's time.

That, or he has his breakdown but recovers in time to re-join the party as they all continue on their journey, and during the next set of Encounters he skips them to cope with the stress of his PTSD flashback.

......My suggestions might seem callous, and I REALLY don't want to come across as insensitive towards your character's plight, but I also don't want this to cause a grief spiral that just ends up ruining everyone's moral for the next few days in game AND out of game. If Heart can deal with his trauma without forcing them on the others.....well, it wouldn't be ideal or nice for him, but we could all choose a time and place to have that breakdown/therapy session in much better/less critical circumstance. We ARE in the middle of a quest in dangerous territory, after all, so being incapacitated/mired in a mental breakdown is not the sorta thing your character needs to deal with right now.....

I have made some changes. Using my sweet root to spare the life of those two Nuzleaf. I have think about that. At least the Lethal damage was heal thanks to those Sweet Root since they work just like potions. In case didnt work @Iron I use potion instead. I still dont trust those Nuzleaf...but its better save the life of someone then live with a heavy on your mind.

Sweet Root can't heal Lethal Damage, sadly. Its why I went to the trouble of boning up on Medicine in the first place, as I wanted to convert them into a form (Potions) that COULD heal LD. I would also say that you should just stabilize them instead of using Potion on them first BEFORE resorting to them, as if they are Stabilized they stop taking Lethal Damage and can recover on their own in due time.

Have changed again. Lets see my medicine might help in heal that Lethal Damage.

Again, I would rather not have Ventus or the group tied up with helping a character recover from a mental breakdown if at all possible RIGHT NOW, but if it must happen then I'd actually want Nathan to handle things with Shiva, as while he's......opinated at times, he surprisingly good at helping other characters through their own problems. Its just a trait that doesn't come up often due to the fact that more often than not inter party conflict seems to stem from whatever he did at a given moment, or at least that is how it looks to me.

Ventus trying to help them........well, they'd be able to do so, but it would require a long and protracted therapy session between the two that would involve divulging both their Backstories of DOOM! in order to get the proper context and make the proper sympathetic/empathetic bonds necessary to get it done right. Which would take a long time OOC, and probably Encounter's worth of time IC too on the short estimate, and most likely leave everyone vulnerable in some capacity. That, and Ven's still dealing with his own big ol ball of HATRED towards the Scims that he's trying to tightly manage/repress/control, so he's not exactly in the right condition to provide much help either.

Overall, he can help, but not very well in the given circumstances/environment.

In this case I think I give Nathan the chance to deal with Heart. As much it indeed been dangerous and all, perhaps it would be...more natural let someone as Nathan take a job in helping Heart. Maybe there is a chance to each one know better and forge some sort of bond? I dont know. I think I gonna give Nathan a chance.

Thank you.  And I'd rather Shiva stay with Ventus for a few reasons, @Lord Windos.  And I think this should go okay...I hope.

BTW, Spirit, if you need help trying to stabilize the Nuzleaf, Nathan currently has 5 dice in that pool since it's based on Dex and Knowledge (and medicine. Gotta keep that -3 accuracy penalty in mind too, though). I plan to eventually max Nathan's Knowledge eventually too, so it's rather ironic that he's the group's best stabilizer (and kinda fitting, I suppose). Of course, if you'd rather not tell him about the Nuzleaf or try to fix the problem yourself, that's fine too.

.....Mate, I'm suddenly find myself a little more anxious this, as turning down Shiva's help (who's practically the defacto Group's heart/mediator) to solo it sounds like not only a bad idea, but suspicious too. An explaination of what you are hoping to achieve alone that couldn't be solved with her would helped ally that paranoid inkling, however. Otherwise, I might just have Ventus join in handling the problem if Shiva declines to join in, even if it goes against mine and yours plan....

Valder can be there too just so no 'funny business' can happen if that's what you're concerned about.  And I don't plan for Nathan to start anything.  Ralts is gonna be doing a lot of what I'm planning, actually.  That should be a good way to start things off...

Guys, before we move on with this Scene, I'd like to ask Spiritmon again if he can't possible delay his character's breakdown until AFTER the next set of Encounters are brought up, and if they don't do that then I'd ask that we get Phantom's input on whether or not they want to join in to help. I rather not either lock everyone in or out stuff if at all possible, so some input would be nice....
