[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
"Hm. I did not know we'd have access to such an efficient clearance move, no no. And with a dozen Pokemon able to use it at once, yes. I will have to re-evaluate our path. If I were to find a Rock-Smash shortcut, would you want to take it? I would. It might mean passing by some rare Pokemon, but the sooner we get out, the better. That's what I say."

"For now, our path is obvious. Growlithe is ready to melt some ice or Rock Smash it. There's plenty of ice ahead, yes yes. And Ice Pokemon. Let's keep hiking,"

Any other preparations?

In case of meeting any enemy ahead, Heart release Rose to keep everyone warm and of course Abbandon. Both for him to strech his arms and to him to acompany Ventus for a while. "Well, we are ready here. Rose can help in melt ice or break any kind of stone. And her fire/fighting type can deal some damage against any foe."

Oh right... With precious Rock Smash in their repoitore, a whole new way of traveling further ahead opens up. The thought of getting out of this environment sooner than later does sound very tempting and warm to Shiva, but her joy suffers a small crack upon hearing that this might mean that they'd all miss rare Pokemon, probably some that could only be obtained down here in the depths of Mount Sentry......

Still, with a determined look and the fist raised, she appreciatingly nods to Mr. Finder. "F...From my side, I'd be all for using a shortcut that Rock Smash will grant us, if it leads us to our destination sooner. But please only if the shortcut smells safe to you and Slurpuff, without the risk of a cave-in, rock slide or similar."

No preparations from my side, Yena and Dizzy continue to flank Shiva's side as they walk while staying alerted and give obvious signs if something seems amiss, while Azumarill gets recalled for now. (By the end of the next Encounter, they both should have recovered 1hp, correct?) She further stays close to Ventus and watches the surrounding as they resume hiking - way better than climbing, phew. Due to the Fire Types outside of their Balls among the party, Shiva can pack away the outdoor robe from the Water Scimitar's Base and tackle the remaining coldness 'only' with her Ranger's Cloak and the Ninetales-scarf she clamined back from Ven the time Lucifer was fine again.

I do have one preparation I'd like to make: I'd like to request Gustav to use a Heal Pulse on Swiftfire.  She has 3/8 HP right now, and she needs to remain out and conscious for both light and warmth (particularly for Nathan).  If she doesn't have more than 5 HP after Gustav's, Ralts will use a Heal Pulse on her too.

Nathan's all up for taking shortcuts when they're available.  He doesn't want to be down here any longer than necessary.

"No problemo mate. That can be done." Heart then release Gustav. "Gustav, please heal Swiftfire please. Your Heal Pulse shall be necessary here."

The researcher mulled over Mr. Finder's alternate solution through getting through the rest of Mt. Sentry's depths briefly, before he spoke at his mind on this matter.

"Reaching  Antheneun in a much more expedient manner would indeed be a great boon if we create shortcutsbut their are two problem to doing that: we don't know whether or not these shortcuts will end up safer than the 'main path', and if we create these shortcuts, no doubt that those twisted Scimitars will utilize them as well. The question we have to ask ourselves is thus: do we create shortcuts despite these drawbacks, or do we simply continue as we stand and 'deal with the devil we know?' That said, I'll remain neutral on this choice, as I can't with full confidence decide which option is the better one.

As for additional preparations, the empath is quick to pipe up before everyone gets ready to move on, saying: "We should all heal our Pokémon that sustained damage in that......horrific battle with those Sableyes, as we don't know what else lay ahead on our journey. Nathan, Heart, would Ralts and Gustav be willing to lend their Heal Pulses towards this end?"

Once that was done/the other decided to hold off on it, Ventus is ready to go on ahead, with both Raphael and Lucifer by his side ready to scout the way ahead and support the group if need be!

Ven was a bit taken aback that Heart would summon Abaddon just for them to spend some quality time together, but in the end he gave the rare collector a smile and clasped him fondly on the shoulder for his thoughtful kindness.

"Thank you for doing this, Heart. Such kindness is appreciated, and I promise that'll I return it in full for you. Of course I was already doing so, but I should let you know such, yes?"

The sociologist then goes off to check on Abaddon, and see his reaction/mood in being in these dark tunnels + being cooped up in his Pokeball for so long.

"Sure Ventus. After that battle against those Sabbleyes, its better if we heal the pokemons of everyone. Gustav still have two Heal Pulses, so we can heal at least three pokemons. Everyone, bring your most injured pokemon. Gustav will heal the most wounded ones. Also Ven, it would be better if you and I take care of that Lethal damage Malphena have receive."

Heart wave his hand. "Don't need to thank me Ventus. We are friends and teamates. We are here to help each other my friend."

(Due to some corrections being made on account that Iron forgot Malphena was holding her Evolite, she's just Fainted with no Lethal Damage, mate! )

Heal Pulse

(3)(5)(4)(3)(4)(5) Swiftfire gains 4 hp.

Abaddon actually loves dark tunnels. They speak to an instinct within him, even though he grew up aboveground. His confidence level increases down here.

Looking at your Quickpages, I don't see any other Pokemon with significant HP damage. Remember you gain 1HP at the beginning of a new Encounter, too.

You walk until you come to another underground lake. This one is frozen over, but strangely there are potholes in the ice, and the water can be seen beneath it.

As the group walks carefully across the rocky edge of the lake, another ancient trap springs into place. Stone slams down from above, separating one of you from the rest of the party. A crystalline form detaches itself from the stone wall - a great big Cryogonal! It is so old, having fractalized so many times, that its body is extra solid and the symmetry is very unusual. The icy chain in its mouth lashes out at whoever is separated, ensuring you cannot reunite. The only way past the wall is over the frozen, crackling lake.

Other Pokemon come wandering out curiously at all the noise. A Jynx is walking calmly on the ice, which buckles with every step. You spot a sight you've never seen before, poking its head up through the potholes - is that the brown rocky head of a Relicanth?
And some of that ice, moving, walking, is a rare Bergmite!

As usual, there are a few Swinub down here too.
