-1 Def for Rose
Sharpen 1
(5)(4)(1)(2)(2)
+1 Str for Cryogonal
Charm 1

A total of -1 Str for Cryogonal. Thanks to Close Combat, everything just evens out for Rose!
Close Combat 2
(3)(4)(5)(3)
(1)(4)(5)(1)(4)(5) Cryogonal takes 4 dmg 4/10hp -2 pain
Before Abaddon has time for Safeguard, a ray of bright blue light takes him in his oversized head.
Ice Beam 2 on Abaddon
(6)(3)(3)(3)(5)
4* Str + 3 power +1 STAB -4 def = 4d6
(4)(3)(5)(6)
CD: (1)(6*)(5*)
Oof...that Ice Beam was more effective than usual in this cold environment! Abaddon is immediately Frozen Solid.
Close Combat 3
(4)(4)(3)
(3)(3)(3)(6)(5)(5) Cryogonal takes 4 dmg and faints! It begins evaporating into mist.
The stone wall remains in place.
Since Rose took out the Cryogonal pretty much singlehandedly, hanging onto it the entire time and beleaguering it with punches, she has time for a speedy supereffective Mach Punch which will break the ice on Abaddon immediately.
Mach Punch 4
(1)(1)
She misjudges the jump, trying to leap from a formerly solid Pokemon. In mist form, it offers no foothold. Abaddon remains trapped.
Both Pokemon and Heart gain 3XP, though.
"Damn. Ventus gonna kill me if I not get you out Abbandon." Heart say thinking about what to do. He bring Koa out and give some quick orders. "Rose. Koa. You two need to break that ice who imprison Abbandon. Both of you use Ember and Dragon Rage. A normal flame and a draconic flame might be enough to break that thing. But do not use much power since we dont want to hurt Abbandon okay?" Heart then aproach too the fainted Cryogonal. "I dont have much pokeballs with me. 3 Pokeballs, 4 Great Balls and 3 Steel balls. And Ice-type its not exatcly my favourite type." Then Heart look the boulder. "After you break the ice of Abbadon, you two could use Rock Smash in this boulder? It might be help us to get out of here."
A super effective move can break the ice immediately.
Ember
(4)(2)(1)(3)(2)(3)(4)(6)(2)
Abaddon is freed!
The trap was not a boulder, it was a solid stone wall. Rose taps it experimentally with a Rock Smash...
...and it collapses immediately into rubble! She seems very surprised, looking at her fist in wonder. Abaddon waddles over to the rubble, picks up a good chunk, and strains at it with all his might. He doesn't wear off so much as a flake. He gets very vocal about this, shrieking in his low voice.

Relicanth looks relaxed and dreamy at the first question - you think that means he's always made his home here.
He carves a little tunnel in the ice with his rocky head to map an underwater exit tunnel in the northeast.
Relicanth dives down and comes up, disappointingly, with just some half-frozen mud caked on his nose. Then you spot golden flakes sparkling within it.
Relicanth shakes its head at the last question. It likes this lake, the only place it's ever known, and a place it's been perfectly adapted to for millions of years!
To the Relicanth's first question and second response, Ven chuckles fondly to the relic of a fish, a sense of delight filling him as the Knowledge he gained from their answers more or less confirming his second hypothesis on them. 'Fascinating......so this this is lake is most likely one of many depositories of run off saltwater from the sea from an underground channel, and this Relicanth's subspecies most likely came to live in this lake countless ages ago and have adapted to best survive here over the eons. Now I wonder how this specimen compare to an 'average' Relicanth, what extent are the difference between them, and how those difference help them survive in their respective environments.....'
To them bringing them one unit of Hurtloam to him, the researcher could only blink in surprise at first, because he honestly didn't expect them to comeback with anything useful at ALL. It was a question he asked on a whim, but it looks like it paid off after all......shame it was something he had (in his opinion) good reason to be adverse too. Never the less, despite his reservations about the substance he took it from them and carefully packaged it into a plastic baggie before stowing it away, bringing out a new ration bar from his pack and breaking off a third of in small chucks to feed the mineralized colicanth as payment for services rendered. Like it or not, Hurtloam WAS a useful healing Item, so he wasn't going to let it go to waste if he's given it!
When the Relicanth ultimately decided it rather stay here at the lake, the empath's smile turned a bit melancholy as he bowed his head at them, saying to them in an kind and understanding tone of voice: "I understand, Relicanth. I wouldn't have left my own home until I had quite the pressing reasons, so I can't expect you want to leave your own with a complete stranger without similar motivation. Thank you again for letting me study you, and thank you for the Hurtloam too. Farwell, and may you have a long, prosperous life ahead of you."
After biding farwel, Ventus departed from the Relicanth and towards the group, with his archangel + hitchhiking devil bat gliding along after him, both Fliers very eager to get off the ice and closer to the Fire types of the group!
Order: Take the Hurtloam and give Relicanth some food in return, before saying good-bye to them and rejoining the group! Not that much of an exilerating encounter, but Ven and I was able to learn quite a lot from it and got something nice too, so I'm pretty happy with the outcome!

"Oh hey, no, please don't head but this white fluffy stuff! Or rather.... Well, you won't learn anything from it, bar the experience how soft it feels. Look! That's how it's done." She strokes over the fluff, then picks it up to cuddle it. Paralyzed Cottonee, the visible origin of the fluff, is summoned to the scene for a demonstrated proper handling of white fluff as well (she earns a slightly more careful hug). If Bergmit will now break the touch barrier, Shiva will certainly not deny it, but it'll hurt her as a single Bergmite weights 100kg according to Pokedex. o.o
At the demonstration of a hail, Shiva applauds the Bergmite. "Yes, approximately like that! But....come to me, I'll share something more with you. Don't be afraid!" As soon as only centimeters seperate her face from the one of Bergmite, Shiva uses Confide on it: "One of my own Pokemon does have the ability to MAKE IT rain ice crystals, many of them even, all together it looks like a storm of snowflakes. On will, it doesn't need to headbutt any walls! If you're....up to stay with me a little more, REALLY desire to learn more about the elusive world I've sporadically revealed to you now, I'll show you one day." She withdraws, and she's smiling mischievously, as if she definitely knows more than she's telling now.
"All you have to do....is touching THIS weird thing!" As swiftly and suprising as if a stage magician would draw a rabbit-Pokemon from a top hat, Shiva draws a Great Ball from her cloak's pocket. She presses a button to open it, then places it in front of her, pointing to the curious Bergmite. One more draw, and another Nanab Berry is placed inside the lower half of the Ball. "Please don't be scared of what may happen if you touch it, you'll rather quickly find it comfortable! Berry's I'm having more as well, and other food."

I believe she do not expect someone to use a Legendary HM against her, heh." Then he aproach Abbandon. "Sorry about what happen Abbandon. Both of us did not expect that things attack us. I'm not sure if Ven would recognize this or not, given his distrust of Earthpower...but Shiva would definitely notice it if you show her later.
This Hurtloam is dormant, chilled by ice, but still full of Earthpower. It needs to be coddled and exposed to other forms of life before it will spring into power again. Kind of like a Pokemon Egg! Three days of attention should do it.

(Then let's just say he automatically shares his findings of the Frozen Hurtloam with the rest of the group as he rejoins them, and have Shiva/Phantom react/inform them of what needs to be done to make it usable at their own pace. He'll probably give it to her if she asks, now that I think about it, but if not and he's given the knowledge, he'll give it to Raphael to hold, as between their liveliness and Morning Suns the mud should be revitalized in no time!)

(Guess here's a little something to do in the meantime while we wait, I suppose?)
Well, when everyone meets back up, they'll see Nathan is veeeeerrrrryyyy carefully holding a chunk of ice with his gloved hands. He's not quite figured out where to put it in his bag yet (I have an idea, though. Nathan just hasn't thought of it yet!)...and none of his pokemon on hand at this time benefit from holding it, either...so he's trying to figure out what to do with the blasted, freezing cold thing for the time being...
And yes, he doesn't look super happy, being in these subzero temperatures. All the more reason for him to appreciate Swiftfire's presence and assistance!

The sight of Nathan cradling a chuck of ice with a mixed look of distaste, wonder, and perplextion naturally arose the curiosity of Ventus, who paced over to peer at it and then the boy Noctowlishly. Raphael and Lucifer were already there near their side, practically nuzzling the blazing horse as they hover by her in order to warm themselves up from the gelid temperatures!
"Nathan, why are you holding that piece of ice, and looking confounded at what to do with it? If its fresh water your looking for, or something to cool a drink, I don't suggesting using it, as all the water and ice here is saltwater."

Heart finally rejoice with everyone. "Heya Ventus. Heya Nathan. I got some problems against a Cryogonal, but I already take care of him. And got the chance to use Rock Smash in a rock wall. Anyway, is everyone okay?"
