And @Nylon is facing off against a Pineco and a Forretress, if he's around. Otherwise we'll auto that one later.

Ventus senses a hostile Pokemon ahead and closes with it. He comes to an area of bitter, bitter cold. Flapping overhead is an unrecognizable enormous moth Pokemon, half again as big as a man. Its wings are icy blue. Its fur, which coats thorax and legs, is dull orange frosted with white. It starts to flap its wings as you appear, flinging a gust of dangerously cold air at you.
It smells weird in this area.
(A Frosthra now? That's not good!!!)
Shielding his eyes against the gelid gale as a frankly ginormous and strangely beautiful moth hover overhead and threatened to either blow him and his family away or freeze them to the bone, but Ventus just scowled, grit his teeth against the bitter cold, and swung his away from his hand away from face and towards the big bug in a clear gesture of defiance! "So you are responsible for the deadly premonition I had, Icy Moth! Well, I will not let you freeze mine or any one of my members without a grueling, perilous struggle, so this is your only warning: leave us be or I will clip your wings insect."
Presumably that act of Intimidation had zero effect, Ven wasted absolutely zero time in issuing orders to his sister as they rushed forward to fell the mighty Mothra wannabe! "Apsis, Acid Spray to cripple it, then Wrap it up and use Poison Fang to slowly waste them away! Malphena , Confuse Ray, Nasty Plot, and Hex in that sequence! Take that beautify monster down, my sisters!"
Order: Apsis will use Acid Spray to severely undermine what damage that almost definitely is a Frosthra can do to them, then use Wrap and Poison Fang to slowly but surely wear them down to the point of uselessness. Malphena, meanwhile, will use Confuse Ray to set up Hex later on and potentially make that moth's moves backfire on it, Nasty Plot because of course I want that power boost, and Hex once this Round to hammer right into it! Malphena will get a Potion once her HP falls to half (4/8 HP or less), and she will be taking cover behind/in the coils of Apsis to minimize the amount of damage she takes! Let's tear off the wings of this pest and put it to rest! Oh, and If any of Apsis or Malphena's moves miss, they'll keep trying to use them instead of their next action instead of continuing their normal sequence! That too!
Moves:
Acid Spray
Accuracy: 9D6 Base - 4 Actions = 5D6 Dice
Damage: STR (3) + 2 + STAB = 6D6 Damage
Effect: - 2 STR on Target, regardless if the move does damage or not!
Wrap:
Accuracy: 8D6 Base - 5 Actions = 3D6 Dice
Damage: 1 Dice most likely
Effect: Roll 2 Damage Dice at the end of each Round to deal 1 Point of damage for each success
Poison Fang
Accuracy: 9D6 Base - 6/7 Actions = 3/2D6 Dice
Damage: Same as Acid Spray
Effect: *Badly Poisoned 7* , due to the Necklace of Serenity!
Confuse Ray
Accuracy: 5D6 Dice
Effect: Known
Nasty Plot
Accuracy: DEX (3) + Fight (3) + Alert (1) - 4 Actions - 1 Pain = 2D6 Dice
Effect: + 2 STR
Hex
Accuracy: 3D6 Dice
Damage: STR (3/5) + *4 + STAB = 8/10D6 Base Damage
Effect: None

Sharp claws start lashing out at you and Swiftfire.
Nathan can't smell; the cold ruins his nose. Swiftfire shies a little though, as if she senses something unpleasant.
Eek! They're aggressive anyways!!! 3 of Nathan's four pokemon are weak to their moves, too, and the group only has access to one Heal Pulse user right now!! Not good, not good!!!
Ditto steps forward protectively, a bone suddenly in its hands, though! These bugs shall not best them, type advantage or no!!! Ditto breaks the mold! No matter what Ability, immunities, and Type the targets have, it will find ways to hit them! It can't fight very effectively against these foes, but it shall cripple their ability to fight back to support the one who can!
Growl
Accuracy: 10 - 3 = 7 D6
Effect: -1 Strength for all opponents
Wide Guard!
Accuracy: 11 - 4 = 7 D6
Effect: -3 damage dice against all incoming attacks for Nathan's party, but does not nullify support moves. +3 Priority.
...and then...PUNCH!
Drain Punch!
Accuracy: 11 - 5 = 6
Damage: 3 + 3 + STAB - Resisted = 7 D6 base - 1 damage
Effect: Restores HP equal to half the damage dealt, rounded down, minimum one as long as damage is dealt
Swiftfire instinctively rushes forward and starts fighting back!
Flame Charge, followed by Embers after the first one lands!
Accuracy: 11 base (12 after the first hit) - 4/5/6/7 actions = 7/6/5/4 D6 (8/7/6/5 after the first hit)
Damage: 2 + 3 + STAB + QE = 6 D6 base + 2 damage!
Effect: +1 Dex or Burn 1 (1), depending on the move
We'll target Leavanny first. If Ditto has -2 Pain or more, Nathan will use a Potion on it.

Theo and Haunter are sent out. Valder doesn't know if it's the air or the terrain, but Theo starts dancing! Spending 57exp on Swords Dance for Theo.
Theo will use Swords dance once and then follow up with Night Slash on the same turn. Theo will now go into Night Slash-spamming. Pineco is main target, but will change to Forretress when that's done. He's holding back on lethality.
Swords Dance: I'm honestly not sure if this gets any roles, so I'll watch and learn.
Night Slash. High crit-rate.

Pineco and Forretress Round 1
Swords Dance is 5 Dex + 2 Fight + 0 Perform.
Forretress: (6) + 3 Dex + 3 survival = 12
Theo: (3) + 8 = 11
Haunter: (1) + 8 = 9
Pineco: (2) + 2 Dex + 3 survival = 7
The strange Pineco that appears doesn't seem to be a bagworm nor a tree fruit. Instead, it resembles a caddisfly/Dwebble, with big flakes of slate glued onto a hidden bug form within. Strange runes, some of which you recognize from the drawings you showed the group, are chalked on the slates.
Forretress is a little more normal looking, locked up within a steely shell. The grating of stone comes from within, though, and its shell glows red. It pinches Theo.
Fire Fang 1
3 Dex + 3 Fight + 2 -3 actions -1 acc = 4d6
(3)(1)(6)(6)
4 Str + 2 power -3 vit = 3d6+1
(1)(2)(4) Theo takes 2 dmg 4/6hp -1 pain.
Flinch: (5)(1)
Burn: (5)(2)
Theo doesn't care, he's dancing.
Swords Dance 1
7 dice, -1 pain, -2 actions =
(3)(5)(6)(5) Success.
+2 Str for Theo
Shadow Ball 1
8 dice, -2 actions
(5)(4)(4)(3)(1)(5) With the Razor Claw, that's a critical hit.
9 dmg dice, +2 crit, -4 vitality = 7d6
(3)(6)(5)(2)(6)(2)(6) Delta Forretress takes 4 dmg from the powerhouse. 4/8hp -2 pain.
One of Pineco's chalk markings glows and fades away.
Incinerate 1
(5)(5)(6)(1)
4 Str + 1 power -3 vit = 2d6 (+1)
(3)(4) Theo takes 2 dmg 2/6hp -2 pain.
Haunter takes 1 dmg 7/8hp
Any little held items they're holding are destroyed! The Razor Claw is fine.
Valder is also fine, since the Pokemon are concentrated on the other Pokemon.
Night Slash 2
8 acc, -2 pain, -3 action = 3d6
(4)(4)(4)
11 power -4 vit = 7d6
(1)(6)(5)(2)(1)(6)(6) Delta Forretress faints. (doesn't have Sturdy)
Shadow Ball 2
(4)(4)(6)(5)(3) Critical hit again.
(1)(4)(4)(2)(4)(2)(3)(5) Pineco takes 4 dmg 2/6hp -2 pain.
Dragon Rage 2
(5)
Theo takes 2 dmg and faints.
You're left with a mostly-healthy Haunter and a nearly fainted Pineco.

The bigger one has fuzz and a lightbulb for a tail. The smaller one looks like a cross between a Ribombee and a Joltik, with brown and yellow stripes. These two are both a little spiderlike. They fling webs at you, making it a great idea to land. (You'd guess Electric type)
On the ground, your position is flanked by two sizes of red and black ants, with fire coming from the spinnerets of the larger one. (You'd guess Fire type).
And crawling up out of a shallow puddle is a big spiderlike spittlebug Pokemon, blue and frothy with too many eyes, and its smaller tick-like counterpart. (Probably a Water type, eh?)
One of them of your choice can be female.
It smells very strongly of formic acid or something here. It gives you a wave of nausea and a feeling of surrender.
.....BUG TYPES! And from the looks of it, not 'any' bugs but unknown bugs! From the looks of it, 'elemental' bugs. How...intriguing, the first thing that came to Shiva's mind was that these origin from the region she had to a special Modul for to have information about them on hand.
She and Tropius landed, instantly she stepped back to bring as much distance between her + her grassy sauropode and the bugs if even possible. It only worked moderatly, as she sied away from what seemed to a fireant-like Pokemon. Weird combination! These two assumed Electric Types almost looked cute, on the other hand.
Her instant though was that these smaller bugs... Did the bigger one's fear that this human ment harm to their assumed offsprings? If so, then by all means she can't blame them for doing so, at worst she stepped outright into their territory, alluring their wrath. Still, she had to pass, somehow, so after having gotten used to that horrible smell of formic acid/something and having swiftly recovered from that wave of nausea and surrender, she reached int her stuff to pull out one package of Gourmet Food, and without saying a word scattered it over the whole scenery and towards all the bugs in a sweeping movement as if wanting to feed a swarm of bird Pokemon. While doing so, she spoke up in a louder tone of voice, making sure that her foes take notice of her words. "Bugs of Mount Sentry, please hear me out! I came from far away and with no intent to harm you, but my quest has brought me in between your grasp anyway. Listen! I need to move on, further, forward always, down this tunnel. You're standing my way, and I'm willing to fight for my right to move on! Face me in a battle if you like, I'll bring up all I'm having, but please - KEEP YOUR YOUNG ONES OUT OF THE RING! I mean no harm to them unless you're giving me a reason to. (Note, Shiva will still attempt to catch ONE of the pre-evos, this'll be the female one - after having defeated and caught the adult ones.) Accept this scattered food of mine as a return for your consideration of my sentiment, and let the TEST WHETHER I'M WORTHY TO PASS BEGIN NOW!"
At that cue, Azumarill was summoned in a way too dramatic movement to accompany Tropius in this session of playing a freshman of a vermin exterminator, before both stepped forward in eager! "Dizzy!", Shiva's voice also swept over the scenery, "I need your aid, so please stand by my side!"
---------------------------
Mechanics:
I've determined battle orders and which of the Bugs need to be taken care of first, but before that: How do they react to Shiva attempting to make it a battle against solely 3 Bugs at first in return for Gourmet Food, and: Are the Smore/Tricwe/Sponee at risk or leaving the battle if I don't attack them myself at some point, or give they signs that they'll stay/are unafraid?

The bugs completely ignore the food. They don't even think about it, not for a second. They all come attacking, but there's only time for the adults to hit Tropius and Azumarill (Pokemon are usually a LITTLE slower before battle has truly joined, but they can certainly attack while the trainer entreats them, as Ventus found out with Scyther!)
Fire Spin 1
(3)(6)(3)(1)(5)
3 Str + 2 power +1 STAB -4 vit = 2d6+1
(6)(2) Tropius takes 2 dmg 8/10hp -1 pain. He's trapped in a vortex!
Wild Charge 1
(5)(1)(1)(5)(6)(5)
3 Str + 3 power +1 STAB = 3d6+1
(1)(2)(1) Azumarill takes just 1 dmg 8/9hp.
All three go straight for supereffective moves.
Bug Bite 1
(4)(4)(1)(6)(6)(3)
(5)(6) Tropius takes 2 dmg 6/10hp -1 pain.
The blue bug eats the half-eaten Nanab berry and kinda wraps its legs around Tropius' neck! Yum yum!
Not going to apply vortex damage yet as it's not a full round for a slower Poke like Firoke.

Frosthra Round 2
By sheer miraculous luck (or his sweater is really THAT warm and fluffy!), Ventus managed to weather than frosted fliers Blizzards without being blown off his feet or suffering its deathly chill itself, but the same could not be said for his terrifying sisters. Reshirim's blessing or not they were spared from being Frozen, but it was clear that both suffered tremendously from that icy insect's battering them with its gelid mastery. Apsis nearly frostbitten and shivering with great intensely as she Wrapped herself around the bug stared it down sluggishly yet not less wrathfully while letting out a low, hateful *Hiiiiisssss.......* Oh, the ssssuffering this big bad bug was going to experience for using its wretched power over Ice against it......! Malphena, on the other hand, was in poorer shape than her scaled sibling despite the gay attitude covering up the true extent of her wounds, cackling as the mock Mothra was bewitched by her ghostly powers and its own addled mind while unstably wavering in air!
Quickly accessing the situation and the relative damage of both his Pokémon in short order, the researcher scowled intensified as he swiftly recalled Malphena and ordered Apsis to finish off the enemy ASAP, as he didn't want to risk his screaming banshee getting frozen stiff by powerful Blizzard like nearly last time!
"Apsis, you are on your own from here on out, so let's fulfill our grim promise to this moth by setting its wings alight with Fire Fangs! Come over here for me to apply a Super Potion to your wounds first, as those frostbite wounds must be treated before they can get any worse! Burn them up, my sister!"
Orders: Fire Fang 3 Times per Round until they are Fainted, and she's getting a Super Potion to get her HP back to near full (15/16) before she attacks! That way if she gets Frozen she can break right out, and she just needs to land 1-2 hit to all but waste them (Wrap Damage could help cinch it too)!
Afterwards, Frosthra will be getting Glared and then Poisoned by a held back Poison Sting (Bug actually resists Poison, so Acid Spray would have done no damage but still lowered their STR by 2) and a Steel Ball will be thrown at it first to test how much resistence/Will they have:
-If they have 4 or less Dice on their Resistence to the Capture Roll, the Steel Ball will be kept used at it until they are caught, dead, or the ball somehow breaks.
-If they have more than 4 Will/the Steel Ball Breaks, then Ven's Dusk Ball is going to be used against them, and given this is a deep dark cave it'll have its HUGE bonus to capture!
-If either balls fail to capture it and break in the process, Apsis is going to slowly murder it in vengeance for nearly giving her/her sister hypothermia, first by tearing off its wings sloooooowly like her master grimly promised would happened if they pursued conflict with him/the group, before trying to devour them whole/parts of them.
They are either going to be captured or permenantly removed as a threat, so win win in my and Ven's book here!
Move:
Fire Fang
Accuracy: 9D6 Dice - 1 Accuracy - 3/4/5 Actions = 5/4/3D6 Base Dice
Damage: STR (3) + 2 + QE - Vitality (4) = 1D6 + 2 Damage
Effect: *Flitch and Burn [1] 4*, thanks to the Necklace of Serenity!
