If you want my advice, make the Female either the Electric Bug or Water Bug, as its pre-evo can get either Tail Glow or Big Buzz as exclusive pre-evo moves for Sek! That, and you already have a Fire move user in the form of Braixen, so no need to double up on it unless you have an hacker for more literal firepower!

 I'm not sure where we are, but is Mamo a-ok to use?

So long as they don't use Earthquake, its fine to use them, but if they don't listen to your commands, it might not be such a hot idea using them just in case it decides to use the move anyway and cave in this section.

Given they don't have 3 or more Disobedience like Ao Guang/Ninjask and are sorta happy with you (1 Happiness), I would assume  they wouldn't attack you, but they wouldn't listen to you at ALL in battle due to feeling 0 Loyalty to your vs. their 2 Disobedience. Better off not using them in that fight imo, especially if those Trice/Trice evos are packing heat, if you catch my drift.

Mamo has 2/2/3 in happ/loy/diso, so I guess I'm good to go. Thx for the info.

But not using him would berave me of a Pokemon on my hand that's actually not weak to Bug Type, so I'd actually desire to send him into this battle - preferably somewhere at the start to get the best out of him.

The most dangerous Pokemon for me is clearly Firoke, followed by Harylect and Sponaree sharing the level of threat, the three pre-evos are somewhere in between. Please forgive me if things feel slowed concerning incomin orders to roll out the Rounds, I feel that a wrong decision in this Encounter will have nasty consequences for Shiva! D:

I feel ya on the difficulty of deciding what to do when your opponents can hit most of your team with SE attacks.

I've got a few questions before getting started on things please, @Iron:
1. In total 6 Pokemon for me to face, correct?
2. How many foes can Shiva hit with a spread move from her own Pokemon, and
3. Is Bergmite at risk of attacking Shiva + his companion Pokemon, or 'safe to use' with the obvious not-obeying?

Yep, you're fighting 6 Pokemon. 
Spread moves are at 5 Pokemon during Chapter Two.
Bergmite might commit minor violence against allies at this point or might try to escape. He's not interested in slaying anyone though.

Anything but Earthquake. You're in icy tunnels.

Edit: The reason Windos brought up Mamo not obeying you is several of the group's Pokemon (and even the people!) are finding themselves compelled to run down the tunnel.
