Nathan shrugs. "Just all met back at Mallorn's lab in Trillium. He had various things for each of the five of us that met there that day...permits, job offers, information, a job for those working for him...things kinda just started from there."

It is now Day 61.
Encounters are never resolved until everyone's had a chance to say which they want. Valder is an exception by his own request - he just hops in if he happens to come online.

Still no sign of any bugs pursuing you! Slurpuff doesn't even smell any nearby.

As discussed, you use your new Rock Smash access to take a shortcut, which leads you downhill. You come to a very strange cavern. The walls glow with a somewhat familiar meteoric sheen! Nathan can identify it as Meteoric Superconductor at once. The geology of this place suggest it has sunk from far far far far above, and become filled in. Broad muddy grooves in the wall, marking the area's path, have metamorphized into stone. The floor is extremely tough granite, flecked with MS.

The air is very heavy. Your movements, too, are feeling sluggish in the weird atmosphere. You can expect to become tired after 2 Encounters, instead of the usual 3.

That's still not the strangest thing about that cavern. There's grass growing, in complete absence of light. It's the Long Grass which presents occasional patches aboveground in Creshire, the scent of which always attracts Pokemon like a Sweet Scent. It's growing up from a crazy web of cracks in the granite, where mud has seeped through, and it swathes the entire floor except for a thin strip near the walls. The brush absorbs your light.

Kirlia narrows his eyes at it, as if thinking about something in his... past?
Gothitelle, by contrast, seems very comfortable.
Slowking is merely curious. But all the Psychic and Dark types feel a little weird here.

Lots of Pokemon rustle in the grass.

A new day have begin. After the events of past night, Heart recover very well. No bugs and no angry Legendary pokemon. Heart them look in the direction and see a Beldum! "Neat! With another Beldum along with the one I will hatch...hohoho future Metang here we go!"

After seeing that, he see the little one lurking around. Heart careful aproach and see the little Beldum. "Hello there little one. Sorry to bother you. Can I talk with you for a bit?"

Nothing excitingly happened on the nightshift, not even some of the bugs that pursuited them formerly she saw. It was pleasant for Shiva to know that... But being alone out there, only with herself, the darkness, the cavern walls and Azumarill beside her were was still not too good for her, but she managed to take it relatively fine now after the sucessful escape from Seikamater's wrath. Ah, she still needed to ask Nathan about these bugs she encountered earlier, at least their names, Heart also expressed some knowledge about them.

The fern-in-a-jar has been misted with Azu's help again, before she spent the rest of the shift adding and crossing out notes in her own journal, it mostly concerned this legendary Seikamater and the icy tablets the Delibird gifted them all. She somehow felt that these were connected... Now she knows that it wouldn't have hurt to voice her thoughts. A mild and a tad bit downcasted sigh escaped her, which caused Azu to cuddle up closer to her.

Per usual, Shiva remained for a while at her place after having awoken and gotten up, she didn't felt like being a hurry now that it was certain that neither the rage of the queen nor her sentries would be after them anymore. It was...fine. Things were okay... Now they could continue following their main goal. Haaah, how far may it be by now until they're reach this Secret Library and how deep below the surface may they be by now?

Just as she was checking date, current moon phase, the Frozen Hurtloam ('Ah! Some of the ice has thawed. Tomorrow this dormant state will likely end...!') and Ventus' Delibird Egg, Cottonee uncurled from the cozy green blanket she hid herself in and eagerly darted into her much beloved Master's lap, almost causing her to hit the glass of the Fast Incubator with her face. Almost. One moment later she shoved another batch of shed fluff from her into Shiva's arms, before giving her a look that clearly spoke 'That's for you! Take it, make something out of it!~' Oh, OF COURSE she'll eventually turn this fluff alongside the previous one into plushies to sell or gift - when there's actual time to do so.

Next, she took the dose of natural meds that helped her keeping herself ging on this quest; and last, the stored away Nanab Berries were to check on... Ugh, the two whithered ones from earlier are now almost black, very dry and tough from the look of it, and barely even had a scent anymore. Definitely nothing one could still eat, but at the same time Shiva could almost feel a weird POWER radiating from these ones as she help them in her cupped hand. She got an unmistakable feeling... A feeling like these Berries bear the might of her mortal enemies, the DRAGON POKEMON. How interesting... Before departing, she gave Tropius one of these now uneatable Nanab Berries to hold. He didn't object, not much at last.

This cavern they eventually came to... Shiva halted mid-way the moment she felt that HEAVY AIR and TRANQUIL CALMNESS lingering in the whole atmosphere of this place. She took a deep breath, then another... The 'aura' remained. Now it even filled her body, it ran through her veins, it somehow overwhelmed her - but in a drastically different way than Seika's aura did. No, Shiva felt like...she could stay here, roam in this place to take a deperately-needed breather, soaking up this meteoric sheem. This place was peaceful. Weird and intriguing, but not threathening or dangerous in any means, and she automatically felt well.

Yena was by her side, same Dizzy, and with them she stepped closer to that LONG GRASS growing DOWN HERE. Lilith suddenly released herself, as if desirering to experience this place as well - well, Shiva will let her to heart's content. "Just don't walk too far from me, alright? It's dark and who knows what lurkes around here", she told Gothy with a soft smile, before she gave her hand a brief stroke.

Ste steps closer to the Long Grass, even takes a few bold step INTO it. If Yena and Dizzy aren't opposed to it ('Dark Types feel a little weird here', so how do they react?), she asks them to follow. This grass... It was different from any Long Grass she knows (Unova hosts two types of it, light and dark one where Pokemon often appear as a pair for some yet unknown reason [scientist are examinating this curiosity].), may it be worth to cut something of it to take along, maybe crafting something useful out of it?

A rustling not too far from her caused the bewitched fae entusisast to dart her head into the direction of the sound. It was only a few steps from her - something's indeed ROAMING in this special Long Grass! For a very brief moment, she thought that she saw the pointed tip of a purple tail.

Nathan was glad to finally have a chance to get some rest. When his turn for the night watch came around, he was in a...kind of awkward mood.

When Heart had come to talk to him, he was reviewing his notes on Tandor. Adding to the section on its Bug types. It took him a little while, but he has a rough sketch of Seikamater in there now.

Since Shiva asked him earlier about the bugs and there's an opportunity now when swapping shifts, he's ready and able to give her a brief snippet on them (even though she's not asking right now). He doesn't want to leave the question from earlier hanging.

"Smore and Firoke, Sponee and Sponaree, and Tricwe and Harylect. Those are the ones you encountered earlier. Fire, Water, and Electric. Tandor has a lot of bugs with weird types. Nimflora is a Fairy, the terrifying Frosthra is Ice, the speedy Harptera is the typical Flying type...I've heard of a few more...unnerving and dangerous ones existing as well, but know almost nothing about them. Maybe Seikamater's existence is why Tandor has so many bugs with weird type combinations in the same region..."

...he's lost in thought for a moment, and then looks like he remembered something. "Oh, and, uh...here's your boots back. Thanks for lending them..."

...though he is going to miss just how much warmer those boots were compared to his shoes...

"...anyways...that's...all I really have to say...you can...go get some rest now..."

Yeah, he's definitely getting a little awkward around Shiva again.

In the morning, the first thing Nathan does is check on Calam and Lucifer again. They're doing fine, all things considered. Looking a little worse for wear still and a little tired, but they can move without experiencing an unbearable amount of Pain.

Since Nathan took second watch and Ditto was out the entire time, he saw something...weird. Ditto Transformed without any warning! Or rather...de-Transformed back into its grumpy, lovable pink-purple self. Ditto is just a normal Ditto today! Three Transformation slots, go! Nathan definitely has a newfound appreciation for Ditto as an individual after the previous day. He leaves Ditto well enough alone if it doesn't wish to interact, but he can't help but hope Ditto will be more willing to be friendly after everything it did for them yesterday as a Herolune...

...and he also wonders if it could possibly Transform into a Seikamater now (and stats wise, it wouldn't even be that OP at all!)...not that he would want Ditto to even attempt that at this point in time...that's probably something that would have to wait until he can REALLY trust Ditto to listen to him...or maybe it could become a Herolune again? That'd be useful...

...thoughts for another time, though! For now, onwards!

Oh, and I think Ditto's first Transformation of the day is going to be Calam the Absol. Gives Calam a break from watching Solosis, but still gives Nathan access to Pursuit if Solosis tries to run. Not getting out of this that easily, Solosis!

Meteoric Superconductor?!

Lots of Long Grass. Lots of it. It'd be so easy to set it aflame with Swiftfire if he's not careful...and then the whole chamber would likely be filled with fire and smoke...out of curiosity, does Nathan or Kirlia spot any Deyo Flowers?

Nathan also gives Kirlia a curious glance, but doesn't pry further for now. If Kirlia has something to point out, he'll do so when he's ready. Solomon's curiosity isn't a surprise, either, so Nathan's keeping an eye out for things the Slowking might find interesting. (Speaking of Solomon, is his tail still intact?)

Whether there's Deyo Flowers or not, rare pokemon certainly abound. And some are spookier than others...Absol Ditto or Kirlia probably picks up on the effcts of this one's (Shedinja*) presence soon before its location becomes known...

Pleasantly suprising it was for Shiva that she didn't need to remind Nathan of her request to inform her about these unknown bugs, she briefly frowned before she turned to him with an interested look, curious to listen. She also drew her cell to rename the picture of each bug with the respective name of the species; once or twice she had to ask for clarification, but in the end every single one of the six pictures featured the correct name! Now she can't forget them anymore.

"T...Thanks, Nathan! Glad you were able to help me on it.... Look, some of them I even managed to catch. Not all, but at least the small fireant - 'Smore' - *coy chuckling because she's still amused how this bug is named after the campingsnack*, thise one with lightbulb as a tail - 'Harylect' - and my favorite, the smaller version of it, this 'Tricwe'. Such a cutie, and from the whiff of pheromones I got when I got close it, it's pretty likely a female exemplar. Of Nimflora I already heard somewhere, it can pollinate and nourish plants which the Cubbug offsprings then use as a food source, aww!"

She was just about to admire this bugfairy a little more, when the handing-back of her boots stopped that train of thoughts. She wordlessly accepted them back, quick-examinated them for any damage or remaining hive gunk *ugh*, before........shoving them back into Nathan's hands without really looking him in the eye. "W-wear them for a little longer if you....like. You're freezing, and might catch a cold if you're not keeping yourself warm." She perked up and mildly crossed her arms, probably to try overplaying her own awkwardness. "I do want them back sometime though please! The wool cost me 800$ at the store, if you break the boots you're owing me just that much."

Azumarill tilted her head curiously as Shiva then made attempts to leave. "Let us get some rest then, Azu... Eh, yes, we'll see one another in the morning then."

Interesting that Shiva caught a few of those bugs. He does wonder what happened to the other three...but decides not to dwell on it...he also wonders how Shiva learned about Nimflora...he doesn't recall mentioning the species to her before...just Cubbug...or did he mention Nimflora already? Hmmm...he can't quite remember...

His own train of thought is rather quickly derailed before he can think about that much further, though.

Nathan blinks in surprise when Shiva hands the boots back to him. "...uh...thanks...yeah, I'll try not to damage them and pay ya back if I do...I'm...rather familiar with just how...expensive Baashaun wool is...see ya in the morning..."
