Calam is gonna take it easy and just do two moves at a time. He's moved from -3 exhaustion to -2.

Shedinja* Round 1

Taunt 1
(4)(4)(6)(4)(2)
Shedinja fell for the taunt!

It begins to use a non-attacking move, which sputters out, but switches to the offensive for Turn 2.

Night Slash 2
(6)(2)(1)(1)(2)(2) (1)(3)(6) The exhausted Calam barely hits, but he enjoys battle anyway.
(6)(6)(4)(2)(3) Shedinja takes 2 dmg...enough to KO the average Shedinja! Instead, Shedinja shimmers and reforms...as a pitch black, bipedal fox with a mane of red hair! 6/8hp -1 pain

U-Turn 2
(6)(1)(4)(2)(4)(2)
3 Str +3 power -3 vit = 3d6+1
(5)(5)(1) Calam takes 3 dmg 4/7hp -1 pain -2 exhaustion
Zoroark, as it has revealed itself, uses U-Turn to shift sideways about 30 feet toward the interior of the cavern. He then limps piteously toward the thickest grass, looking back over its shoulder to see if Nathan is following. It stays highly visible, though, apparently not yet planning to obscure itself with grass.

(Unless its a part of its Surprise!, should Zoroark only take 2 Damage from Night Slash? Enough to cause a little pain, but not enough to cause it serious discomfort.....yet.)

(Oh yeah...that was the whole point of choosing a Shedinja disguise! Avoiding fighting moves in favor of moves it resists.)

!!!

Nathan holds up a hand to stop Calam temporarily.  Not pursuing immediately, but still easily in range of continuing the fight because of how speedy Calam is.

"...well, that was a good performance you put on there.  You definitely had me convinced that you were a Shedinja.  Heh..."

...

"...now I know my friend would definitely want to meet you.  What would you say to meeting him if I were to tell you he's...not entirely pure of heart?  He's done some dark stuff.  I think you'd get along really well with him, and he definitely won't look down on ya just because you've done some bad things yourself.  I can tell you more if ya think that sounds interesting.  Sit down, have a nice chat.  I promise I won't bite if you do.  Would probably be a nice change of pace, having a like-minded friend, right?"

If Zoroark tries to flee...Calam and Ditto are more than fast enough to interfere with that.  A few Pursuits from both of them would do the trick.  (2 from each pokemon)

However, if Zoroark doesn't attempt to flee, maybe we can now get a proper conversation going...

Tackle
(5)(4)(2)(4)(6)(6)(6) Critical hit.
(5)(6)(1)(2)(5) Liepard takes 3 dmg and is now at 1hp.

She starts to leap forward anyway, until Shiva calls out this means the end of the points.

Liepard waits to see how she did before she decides where to go from here.

Yena lowered his body, bared his sharp teeth and spreads these Masquerain-like wings of his upon seeing that the cat hadn't enough yet and was all willing to continue attacking, but as Shiva gestured to him that this was enough for now, he calms down and retreats back into the pitchblack darkness, obscured now for Shiva's sight. This leaves only her and Liepard now.

She gets a little loser to this Liepard, unafraid and somehow...fascinated by her still, and draws one Nanab Berry from her stock since she currently hasn't any Oran Berries at her person to offer instead. She reaches out to offers it to the cat - before she remembers that only the successfully tamed Liepard would take food from the hand, and even then only when they're in a good mood. (Or does this Liepard suprisingly take it from her hand??) It is placed in front of Liepard instead and pushed a little closer to her. "That's for you. Please eat, it may not be one of these round and blue berries that ease pain, but it's the best I can offer to you." Silence followed, where Shiva would only look Liepard into the eyes. There's something about this glance that words cannot catch.

"You know", she eventually speaks up, "that was fun! You did rather well, too. You may not had the direct chance to show me many of your moves, but you showed me how graceful you are, it was almost tangible for me! You gave me a shiver running down my spine, all from your performance. Grace, beauty, confidence in one's skill - that's what counts in Contests, and adds spice to non-contest battles against other Trainer's Pokemon. Here in Chreshire no such things like Festivals or Cat Shows are held, but one day I'd like to visit a different region to participate in such an event - YOU would be perfect for it. Your shapely body, your magnificient fur will earn the praise of the judges, for sure. That, and me and my dog are always up for a revanche-battle shall you desire this." Shiva pauses here, considers, lets these words sink in. "I'll leave the choice to you however. It's yours... I'm having another Pokemon that's quite a showdog already, a small white fox... But to say that I wouldn't enjoy to be your caretaker and .....partner, would be a blatant lie. But I also know that the species of you values its freedom. Choose, and I'll accept your choice without questioning it."

The cavern's ceiling splits as reality distorts; all of you can see this.
A meteor crosses the night sky.
The Helix Nebula shines brightly, zooming in on you, filling your soul with rage. It looks like a single great Eye.
The Whimsicott constellation, the sign of the ram, crumbles away as its stars wink out one by one, leaving only a few dim stars at its base. Black holes and quasars pour out in an endless stream. Among them, they bear constellations indicating weaponry: Cobalion, Bisharp, Aegislash, Shelmet. The Pokemon represented by these constellations are clear to your eyes, though in reality they are just a few clustered dots.
Together, the constellations surround the meteor and move it onto a new course.
The scene shifts to ten new stars, six bright and four dim.
Shiva's mouth opens and a most unusual voice comes out, much akin to the one used by the Fortune Teller in Ginger Town: "THE SIX AND THE FOUR...."

The connection fails. Shiva feels the force of prophecy suddenly leave her; she had only the most tenuous, fleeting connection with it.

Gothitelle opens her eyes and replaces her cap. She gets up and wanders back to Shiva, still holding the meteorite.

(I'll assume this happens shortly after Liepard-Encounter has been wrapped up.)

That feeling.... This sensing..... This ominous realization.... Shiva darts around, stares into the direction she last saw her Gothitelle wander off alongside the oddball of a sociologist for Pokemon. She knew her intuition was right when the VISION washed over the tranquil cavern.

She halts to watch it, pays attention, keeps her mind open. This rage, this wrath of the Helix Nebula looking like The Eye, was scary for her. A warning sign, that's how she interpreted it, has mankind failed and enraged something greater? Whimsicott-constellation, named after a playfully and mischievous Pokemon that was both good and bad, breaking was another warning sign for her. Starry Pokemon resembling weapony - a hint to an outbreaking war? They moved this meteor onto a new course - something changes, something will be decided through them.

The Six and the Four she didn't manage to interpret right now, but she definitely understood that THESE are important. They're some sort of key. Shiva's connection was only brief and fleeting, but she was touched by it.

She welcomed Gothy back by her side with figuratively open arms as soon as she noticed her presence again, and halts in her further investigation of the weird Tall Grass. "There you are again!~ It's good to see you again, and I value that you returned to me on your own. Were you able to have a nice chat with Ventus, did you enjoy his company? Do you...understand now why he's important to me? He's having a good heart, despite the...hard and sad obstacles he had to face in his life before we met him. I like him... and am thankful that he granted me a safe spot by his side and in his heart."

A break follows where only semi-awkward silence reigns. Luckily the darkness obscured that blush that unmistakeable awoke now within the young fae enthusiast. "A...anyway! You.... now, you rather show me what you're carrying there, please! Has Ven given you this? ..... Ah, it looks like a piece from a meteor. Of course you can keep it for a while now, you're having my agreement. Not that you need it though. You want to give me the Soothe Bell so long or keep both with you?" (Means, if the MSC Meteorite does count as a Held Item for her, the Soothe Bell is given to Bergmite instead.)

"Ah, and that vision of yours... Wonderful, but scary... Ominous. Partly I can interpret it I guess, partly I can't. You've given me - us - surely something to mull over..." "I'm sorry that the connection to me failed. We're not close enough just yet to strengthen this connection between us, but I'm all willing to work on MAKING it stronger. I've told you that I desire to be that Special Trainer for you. It takes two however - are you willing to contribute, to work towards us being a union like me and Cottonee or former Azurill are, now that you've granted me your trust? I am, as said, but it's useless if it's not mutual." Shiva turns silent after having opened her heart to Lilith concerning this, just faces this particular Gothitelle, waiting and hoping for an answer. A few more muted words escape her that Lilith can hear if she wants to. "Future is a sheet with writing in a language I cannot read - but I am happy that this sheet said that you and me are granted with each other's company.

Zoroark doesn't even consider it. You sense he has a different motivation.

He's not fleeing, either, he's slowly working his way through the grass, never getting out of your sight. And he's limping all the way.

Either way, Yena gains 2Xp and Shiva also gains 2.

Liepard likes these words of flattery. She'll consider your offer briefly, but no second chances on this one.

Empathy: (5)(2)(2)(2)(1)(2)(4) = 2 successes
Will: (3)(5)(2)(6)(1)(5) The Liepard eats the berry off the ground and disappears back into the Long Grass, purring. I think you made her day a little better.

The meteorite should probably count as a held item, yes.
Gothitelle graces you with a slow dance step and a bow from the neck up. She likes your last sentence a lot.

Hmmm...

"...are you injured?  You're limping quite heavily for someone who took only a scratch just now."

The question is cautious.  Still, considering that Kirlia still hasn't decided to pay attention to this and Zoroark's not trying to pick a fight even though Nathan's continuing to stay within battling distance...
