[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Nathan made it to bring that 'there-was-a-lemon-between-the-fruit-I-was-just-eating'-face back on Shiva, Delphox even began to growl slightly in response to his beloved Master being held back from rushing over and follow her own business again. Really, after all that time being with the group for the whole quest she actually longs for some alone and free time to recharge her batteries and prepare properly for the return to the surface.

"More discussing...? Do excuse me to say it so blatant, but if it can wait until we're on a break for the night on our way back or even outright back at the surface, then it should. If you desire to discuss these visions Lilith here *waving to her* had earlier, that is my lead please and I'd rather ponder over these in a comfy dorm of the Pokemon Center, where we are not surrounding with a ton of things that we can only be with once in our life."

"But if that's not the case and you insist that it's important, speak ahead, please. But keep if fast and simple, if possible." She crosses her arms, and it's obvious that her patience is tested again.

The Almanac doesn't even mention Aotius or Mutios, or any other true Legendaries from Tandor. Maybe next update?

"These are pretty good riddles. I'd say the ones that result in a common Pokemon for an answer are a little weaker, such as #6. It does have some metaphorical twists, though. I'll have to take your word for it that they won't think of Espeon/Umbreon or Ralts, but using psychology in your riddles to keep those HOOLIGANS out is definitely the right thing to do."

Shiva's trying Nathan's patience, too.

"...would you rather be in a bad mood when we leave Atheneum, Shiva?  Besides, this Library is plenty comfy as it is, and there's not much we can do until Slaking decides nap time is over, and maybe there are some books here with more information on what we need to know.  I'm well aware we're unlikely to ever see this place again, and I want to take full advantage of it too, but we do have other things to do and research as well, and this information should be heard by the whole group.  And on top of that, we don't have to worry about being overheard in here by eavesdroppers.  That vision was also shared with Kirlia, and I think it relates to what I want to discuss with you guys.  But, before I get to anything else...I need to read a couple stories to you guys."

Nathan sets a book on the table after Heart's done with his story.  It's about medium sized, not super thick.  And the title is Tales of Adventure and Legends.

...from the design of the cover, it's fairly easy to tell that it's a book of children's stories.  And he and Kirlia both look rather serious about reading some stories from it.

Feel free to insert reactions to that odd sight. Stories will be in the next post.

Heart was interesting when Nathan bring the book. "A children story? Care to explain what is inside the book Nathan?"

(Using, Phone, so will keep post short.)

Ven is silently and expressionless during most of the discussion/brainstorming of substitute riddles, save for the few times information concerning his own trail is solicited from him. The reason for this was threefold: he was terrible at word puzzles of this sort (he couldn't solve ANY of their riddles until the answers where given), he plainly didn't feel like socializing with almost anyone but Valder, due to their...….interaction with The Gauntlet, and plainly because he didn't want to bother since he knew everyone else had a better idea of what to do than he can come up with.

When Shiva wroted down and presented her own list of recommended riddles, the researcher took and gave it a once over, before looking back to her and giving a singular nod of his head in approval, neutrality and not a hint of other emotion present on his face, then passed it back to her/the next person.

As for Nathan's own aggrevated suggestion and pulling out their story book and looking quite ready to start reading from it, Ventus simply departed from the gathering and returned to his own hammock to rest + read his selected pile of books while keeping an eye/ear open for Slaking awakening from his nap, and ignoring everything else. He wasn't in the mood for children's stories or interacting with other beyond the bare minimum required to work with them to stop the Scimitars, and Shiva/Heart/Valder would tell him any of the relevant/useful information that could be garnered from the boy's storytime session WITHOUT the long winded tale.

"It'll make more sense when I read the stories.  Trust me."

I think this picture best describes Nathan's reaction to Ventus just walking off:
Kirlia can't really empathize with that decision, either, as much as he wishes he could.

Oh, one more thing that's in the Library: Lots of paper, and a book press that lets you create a nice bound book. You still have to write it, though. But it's pretty versatile and can work with notebook paper, papyrus, or the provided nice paper. It has several kinds of bindings, too.

How weird. That means it probably doesn't even mention this 'Seikamater' either? But Shiva is actually sure that Tandor does have its own batch of Legendary Pokemon, there've been enough hints and there's no region she knows off that lacks legends and mythics. Humm... Simply staring at the Almanac's screen for a little, she realizes that she's not too sure whether she'd spend 2000$ for an Upgrade of Tandor's legends, she probably won't at the moment. But now that she's having her 'Dex' already out, what does it actually say about this Tricwe she'll keep?

Shiva could practically feel the spark within her that was telling her to protest - 'Delcatty aren't that common! :C They're popular among females for their own reasons just like Skitty, but Moon Stones are relatively scarce. And while we were infiltrating that Water Scimitar Base, there were indications that it's not a male-only organisation, yes - but in that actual common room-thing we've eventually found ourselves in after having passed the Guards, I figured out that it seems to be male-dominated.' That, and even with her own dislike and issues to these Scims she'd find that calling them hooligans is  tad bit harsh, but she can see why Slaking would choose that naming.

Decency however soft-prevents her from arguing with noble Slaking here within Atheneum, so none of these thoughts get to see the daylight. She speaks up to them with a different thing. "Humm. Then maybe it's possible to set #6 to not bear an Apricorn with a Klefki? There are four keyholes and four Klefki after all, but five riddles and a fight to solve/win in order to open the door. Would that be more suitable, mighty Librarian?"

Concerning Nathan's soft-objecting, Shiva reacts with more arm-crossing and letting herself fall backwards a bit to lean into her Delphox's furry and warm chest to calm down the both of them. He stopped growling and opted to simply let things happen for now. "I said that you can tell ahead, Nathan, so please do." Her mood is slightly elavated because unlike me she is a sucker for valuable children's stories, but she remains in a state of 'grudgingly accepting things to prevent harsh outcomes'.

She lets Ventus go however without comment, well aware that he has reasons to do so. She'll fill him in later, so that's another reason why she stays. With 'he wasn't in the mood for [...] interacting with other beyond the bare minimum required to work with them to stop the Scimitars [...] and socializing' he rather neatly expressed how Shiva currently felt, with the exception that she did way more than the 'bare' minimum to stop the Scimitars by providing riddles.
