[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Damn. I guess my choice is search in the upper layer Skull Ruins since its the most close one to Mt. Sentry and Cress City. Its gonna be the first thing to do. The point plot will have to wait @Dragonstrike, because I not going to anywere before be prepared.

There's still a little time before we depart from Cress City anyways.

Be warned that the Skull Ruins are not a nice place, though.  Even the upper levels are somewhat dangerous.

I said somewhere in a previous post that neither me nor Shiva aren't ready to leave Cress City either, so no hurry, k?

It just occurred to me that there was also a (blind) Natu in the Mt. Sentry Long Grass Biome, so that could be another place to look for the prophetic bird if we happen to be able to pass back through that area.

Man, we already faces so many dangers only in Mt. Sentry and the ends of the earth. And we have face a Legendary bug. I will be very much careful.

Could I get a roll of some kind for this to see if Kirlia picks up on this, @Iron?

Let's deal with this later instead. It will be much easier if Ventus just asks for Larvitar and Marowak to learn these later.

Mates, I WANT ALL of Ven's Pokémon that can learn Rock Smash to learn it ASAP, including Forrestress and Scyther since those Pokémon aren't even going to be traded outside the party (or in the case of DF, to Dagney, a person he can trust to be discreate). My character gave good enough reasons for that, Rock Smash is a party rewards that was said to be unrestricted, and Ven has been able to hide his emotions/disguise them from Kirlia before WITHOUT a roll (all the way back in Stair City) , so unless Iron wants to rule that no Diosbedient Pokémon can learn HMs outright without multiple party member's permission.....

In his defense, Kirlia was more focused on Nathan specifically/not trying very hard in most of those instances, or we simplified it for OOC reasons.  In this instance, either Nathan has asked Kirlia to monitor everyone to make sure they're not trying to hide anything, or Kirlia is just doing that automatically for Nathan without needing to be told because he has a good understanding of what Nathan wants.

Nathan is very, very paranoid about HM usage.  That's why I want to set general group guidelines for who we teach the move to and how we use it, and they're what Nathan outlined:

- Only teach it to pokemon we're keeping
- Don't teach it to Disobedient Pokemon to prevent accidental usage
- Only use it when it's allowed/safe to do so without tipping people off that we have the HM

As Nathan said, HMs are not tools for profit and fame if you don't want to catch everyone's attention.  If we start spreading pokemon with Rock Smash around, people are going to start asking questions, figuring out that someone's found a Rock Smash HM.  The more attention we draw to ourselves, the harder it'll be to move around the region without the Scimitars/Almanac knowing exactly where we are.

I'm fine with all these restrictions, except for that one about outright not teaching it to disobediant Pokemon - something like taking a look at how disobediant the particular Pokemon in questions is and then decide in the specific case whether it shall learn the move or not sounds more fair to me. For example, something with 3 points in Disobediance vs. 0 points in Loyalty shouldn't get the move, but something like 4 Disobediance vs. 2 Loyalty or 2 Disobediance vs 0 Loyalty can.

BTW, since it's a relevant topic atm, did you want to teach Rock Smash to Gengar now that he can actually use it?  Frogadier could also learn it now that we have access to the PC.

I'm not opposed to the idea. If we can just say that they know it and that's it I wouldn't mind, but I feel like I won't need it and therefore we might as well save our time on other story-continuing stuff.

Fair enough.

Yes, but Ven's equally paranoid about remaining disguised/undetected when he wants to, and given his criminal origins and working alongside the Shadow Triad, so him going off to sell those Pokémon on the Black Market SECRETLY isn't an instant fail/bad end for the party. Given that Ven's succesfully raised an Arbok, Noibat into a Noivern, and has decently bonded with several Dragons and Disobedient bugs, the boy would trust that when he says he can handle those Pokemon, they SHOULD be able to trust him with at least that. I and Ven want to sell those HM Pokémon for a marked up price since the more Poke I have, the more flexible I can be for spending in the future, and I REALLY don't like be stonewalled in making muns unless the DM specifically is the one doing it or its a plain bad idea (which I don't think it is, in this case).
