Ven also doesn't follow Nathan out to witness their Bonding Ritual, for much the same reasons as Shiva held. Such a venerable and....intimate experience such as that (when done properly) doesn't need onlookers muking things up or unwarranted intrusions. 

However, he had another reason for decline besides properness, as he seemed to figit nervously in his seat for a moment, before letting out a *Sigh* and turning towards Shiva with a weak looking smile.

"Dear....do you want to spend some time together, before we leave Antheneum for good? My hammock is large enough to seat us both, and its out of the way so we don't have to worry about others intruding on us, so that's a good spot as any..."

….Seems like the empath is nervous about something, but his offer is completely genuine. Will she accept it, is now the question....

The same roll will carry over for the Kobra Tongue Fern, since you would have noticed any books like that while looking up Arrowroot.

(That practically means the research brought no results and I can move on to the next topic? Which Speciality did you actually roll out [or not in my case because it's one with zero points in Shiva's case] in that roll so that I can find a way to increase the chance for success?)

(Thanks! Well, Shiva has spent most of the History Classes in school daydreaming, so she won't search for something of historic value/significance on her own unless it's about something she really finds interest in. But the next topic might maybe be considered 'deep'... But I actually don't know, will show. Will ge to typing it up [and react to your stuff, Windos], then I'll get some rest.)

Swiftfire tosses her mane, wreathing you in the flames. They don't burn at all - one of the highest displays of trust a Rapidash can make.

Red Apricorn Dust as brightly colored as her flames is sprinkled around Swiftfire as appropriate.

Nathan takes a deep breath.  Lets it out slowly.  Here goes...

We'll run and we'll run
We'll have a lot of fun
Trainer and pokemon
Traveling as one

I'm oh so glad you've been by my side

Nathan ends it by simply hugging Swiftfire.  Whether this worked or not, he said what he wanted to, and in the free form style he thought fit the situation best.

Notably, Nathan doesn't appear to have written this down, either, opting to either recite this from memory or improv this.  If any of the other members of the group are watching, he doesn't mind.  It's like they're not even there right now.

Light, akin to Pokeball light, surrounds Swiftfire briefly...mixing with her flames as she rears joyfully. As Nathan speaks his freeform poem, he receives a taste of what Swiftfire imagines when she imagines running wild and free. Your ability to pick up each others' thoughts is permanently heightened.

Swiftfire gains +1 Happiness and +1 Loyalty. The negative effects of trading Swiftfire away are doubled. After this taste of adventure with you, Rapidash can no longer survive as a ranch Pokemon. She thinks of you as a heroic rider, not her captor or food-delivery system. When you ride, you move as one. A support/status move targeting Swiftfire will also have a reduced effect on Nathan, good or bad: usually about 3:1 dice. For example, if Rapidash somehow used Belly Drum, she would gain 3 Strength and Nathan would gain 1.

I definitely want to give Nathan 1 XP for the poem. It reminds me of a cowboy song somehow. Needs a harmonica for backup!

Swiftfire asks Nathan to mount up and take a happy lap around the plaza, enjoying the dramatic slow-motion effect sometimes triggered when she does a jump. She's also confused why her footsteps don't resound as normal.

That weird nervousness from Ven - Shiva does relatively easy notice it and ends up being rather confused about it, which shows in her expression for only a moment before she does just carefully return his smile. Not that she was opposed with as he said 'spending time together', but him directly asking for that came as a suprise for her. As a pleasant suprise if one can trust that mild blush that followed instantly, but it's also accompanied by a raised eyebrow.

"I-I.....I would love to! But.....but depends on what you see as...spending time if you suggest such a....private place.... As I thougth you were....worried for me, or scared after what happened...outside." She shakes her head with force. "I'm doing fine. But...maybe...before that, you could - or want - to help me research something? It'll be the last thing then I'll be done and ready to actually leave.... It's mostly about the nightsky of Chreshire. The stars here in Chreshire are unique, and Lilith has shown so many constellations in her visions so far that I'd actually like to...find out more about them. Every constellation has a meaning. For e-example, Whimsicott crumbled in one of her visions, while Charizard held endless black holes and dying stars among four bright twinkles. There's also the Six and the Four.... I can't believe they aren't an important key to things." .... (Your help would be much appreciated, Windos, as Ventus has points in Alert while Shiva has not, so the chance that we'll find something by searching together are higher than if Shiva'd search alone. I'd be most happy if there'd be a seperate roll for me and for Ventus to increase the chance for finsing something useful even more. The question is, would Ventus himself be fine with helping at first before hanging around with her...?)
(Sought out are information about the various constellations on Chreshire, any curiosities and basic info about the Six and the Four [not league-stuff if possible], if the library may have info about all that at all. I've made a seperate tab solely for Gothitelle in charasheet to collect all that info yesterday, was about time.)

The thread bare smile on Ven's face dropped like a rock into an inky abyss, and he looked away from his most blessed girlfriend for a moment.

".....Yes, I was. Still am, as a matter of fact. But.....its nothing."

He swiftly turned to face Shiva once more and gave her a more firm and warm smile, but this one felt a little more....forced or fake, and not as honest as his last attempt to grin.

"I would be more than delighted to assist in your search for astrological and astronomic texts before....our personal time together. Those vision have....intrigued me as well, and I would like to divine their meaning soon, as they have tantamount predications and information in them, if we could only understand them more deeply. I will admit those....fields are not my forte, but I should still be able to assist you in gathering those text! Combing my university's library and locating myriad research sources for my papers has given me ample experience in tracking down hard to find texts, so let's get at it.....shall we?"

He got up from his seat and extended a hand towards her, both to help her get up and gesture to shows that he still cares.

Judging by the subtle shakes and slight sweatiness of it, plus the feelings of reservation faintly wafting through his calm and kind mood, though, the gesture is not entirely wholehearted....
