Carbink is another five miles down the new tunnel system.

Nathan's definitely resolved to head in Carbink's direction (making sure to keep a careful eye on the ceiling with Swiftfire's light illuminating the dark coal biome)  Nobody's changing his mind.

"You guys don't have to come if you don't want to.  It might even be better if you don't..."

Nathan does look at Valder, though.  "Would ya mind coming with me, though?  Still don't think traveling without a buddy would be a good idea down here...and having Mamo and Frogadier around if things go south would be a good idea..."

Regardless, I still am willing to render aid. Malphena's Icy Winds are a frigid boon, and Michael can use Spore to put them to sleep if the need arises. That, and with my empathy and expertise in handling Pokémon, any diplomatic exchange you plan between you and them, if any ,will go much smoother if you let me in on them....hopefully, anyway."

If Valder isn't willing to help (or for expediency's sake), Ventus will also step forward and quietly say: "I'm willing help assist in....what do aim to do about Carbink again? Nathan's reply is...sad. And nervous, because he's not sure bringing Ventus is a good idea since this same Carbink almost brained/skewered Shiva...

"...this Carbink is...special.  It's a leader.  And...I need to apologize to it.  That's all, really.  I don't think it should have any reason to pick a fight with us now, but I'd rather be...prepared if it's still willing to command its Geodude allies to Self-Destruct.  They were all slow, but...powerful."

"...this Carbink is...special.  It's a leader.  And...I need to apologize to it.  That's all, really.  I don't think it should have any reason to pick a fight with us now, but I'd rather be...prepared if it's still willing to command its Geodude allies to Self-Destruct.  They were all slow, but...powerful."

Ventus somehow grow even MORE melancholy at the boy's answer, their frown growing mores severe as he solemnly nodded his head in response and said: 

"I....understand, Nathan. Malphena and Michael would definitely be terrific safeguard for your efforts, though ideally conflict will not occur if things are handled....delicately. Hopefully they'll be open to discussion now, as you said..."

Nathan and Ventus roam ahead a ways to the Carbink. Mr. Finder stays behind with Heart, Shiva, and Valder to guide them toward Carbink when they're done with Larvesta.

From behind a stalagmite, you can see Carbink hanging from its arch.

You walk and Smash along. First you come to the MSC site, where Shiva obtains...

Today is almost over when you reach Larvesta's home. Carbink is another five miles down the new tunnel system.

"Your bug is right over there, up that little chimney in the stone."

Heart finally reach close to Larversta. He grab the piece of thundergrass and look to the group. "I just gonna talk a bit with Larversta. Another member to be add to my party. Time to go on Shiva style in Larversta. I gonna be okay so dont worry. I come back soon." With that say Heart aproach Larversta.

After a moment, he calls out to the pokemon.  He doesn't intend to hide or try ambushing them or anything...he's just here to talk, apologize...he's not sure how much might happen...

"...Carbink?  Are you...okay?"

He's nervous about not being able to see those Geodude...either they're hiding, or something happened to them...

Carbink gives a cheerful, tinkling cheep and swivels to face you. It doesn't seem stressed, and it actually seems a lot less hostile than on your way in.
