Nathan doesn't comment on that right now anyways.

Back to the battle!

Nathan vs Terra Introductory Battle Round 2

Manectric leaps into a blurred version of himself, coming around to strike Grid before Grid has a chance to launch his own series of attacks.

Quick Attack 1
(6)(4)(4)(4)(2)(5) - Critical hit.
(3)(6)(3)(4)(1)(2) Grid takes 2 dmg and goes out like a light!

Who will Nathan send in now?

Eeeeeeekkkk! She indeed picked up so (relatively) early in the morning, but she sounded as friendly and dear as always; much to Shiva's delight. "Eh... *cough* Yes, morning, I arrived with the others yesterday evening from the trip to the inner of the mountain", she explained while taking effort to sound competent and serious. "The Infiltrator is doing well, is busy with cleaning his fine fur right now and says hi to you and Wir as he's only a few steps apart from me. ..........I'll let him know, roger."

"So, ehm, I'm mostly calling to ask two things, Golda. First: How will things continue now concerning him? I don't mind keeping him with me longer and caring for him so that he stays up and about, especially since he's not counting against the restrainment of The Six. If he needs further training though, I MIGHT be not the best adress, but I could take care that his trained skills won't fade. Friendly spars or so, playing to keep his senses honed and muscles smooth, you know. But no actual battles against people, I'm not too sure if he'd listen to me at all as he acted on his own when there were fights along the trip, once he even saved things when a horde of Bug Types cornered me. I have the feeling he doesn't really need a 'Master' or a person who tells him what to do when there's a battle."

"Yes, don't worry about training him. He'll report for more training...after he finishes his next mission, which takes place right there in Cress City. I'm afraid that's all I can tell you. Would you and the group be willing to keep him around for now, letting him slip off whenever he feels like it? He knows what to do."

Actually, it wasn't a Critical Hit because Lucky Chant prevents those too.  Unfortunately, Grid's still KOed even accounting for the removal of the two rightmost dice :/ Ah well.

Nathan calmly recalls Grid.  "Well, it was worth a shot.  On to the next one."

Out comes...Snivy!

He blinks a few times as his eyes adjust to the light.  Ack, why's it so bright here?

"...oh, uh...sorry about that, Snivy.  Forgot it's your first time on the surface.  So, uh...yeah.  Welcome to the surface.  Sorry about the abrupt intro to it.  Would have grabbed ya earlier to make this a little easier on ya, but Terra wanted to battle me and my pokemon sooner rather than later.  Terra, if you could give Snivy a sec for his eyes to adjust, that'd be spectacular."

Upon the sensation that the next mission will be...right here in Cress City, Shiva couldn't help looking around in the room nervously, as if she was expecting Scimitars jumping from a hiding place every moment. Luckily, nothing punced at her. "Nonono, I'm very fine with keeping a hold of him if it's necessary, don't worry! I don't mind hm roaming free either and will let the group know of that. That is, if he won't end up escaping me...?"

"Ah, before I forget... Dizzy found somethingelse on our way back up that I wanted to let you know. It's a gauntlet directly from the Earth Scimitars, with wire and everything, but it looks like it has exploded, and it's old. Could you...put it into good use in some way addidtionally to what Dizzy has sent, or shall I just keep a hold of it myself?"

"We would indeed like to have a sample of their gauntlets, even one in bad shape. Tell me all about how it was found - that's something Dizzy can't really do on his own!"

"Ah, then it's been a good decision that I picked it up from him!" While talking, she has fished that gauntlet from her stuff and holds it by the wire a little away from her as if it's a nasty fainted Weedle, but she musters it. "Well, he found it himself - yes, that'd be the easiest way to describe it. We have left our destination and got started on our way back, the tunnels of Mount Sentry now shifting more often and faster, catching us all off guard. The whole time Dizzy was examinating the surroundings as high speed, before suddenly...well, before the other Absol noticed as the first one that he was missing."

"We found him back soon though, unharmed and carrying said broken gauntlet and a flat thing that I paid barely attention to at first - before it turned out to be an original from Keni Morgusi, picturing the cathedral here in town. It...instantly brought us to this place by some unknown force. The gauntlet was - and still is - dusty though, pointing to it laying around in the tunnel for a while instead of being left there recently."

"I'll send it to you via the PC in an instant, alright? Is there...anything else that needs to be discussed or shared now that I'm on the line anyway? You know that you can call or write me always if necessary."

"Oh...that fits some new pieces into the puzzle. No, no, I really can't discuss more, dear. Anything else, you ask? Well, there's a little thing, nothing to do with Codename: Dizzy. One of my students is challenging the Champion tonight. Jo Boswe is her name, a real rising star of a trainer. I gave her her first Pokemon, a specially bred Furfrou. I know you aren't one for battling, but if you're interested you could catch the news coverage and get a glimpse of that Furfrou. That's all!"

Melly lets out several excited barks and hopped up/down in place after speedily dispatching Grid, a little disappointed that she couldn't have a taste of their Electrical power, but that was overpowered (he!)by the feelings of joyful accomplishment of outspeeding and smooshing that spider before he could be a problem for her master's team!

Sorry Mr. Giant Yellow Furry Spider, but can't have you causing hell or blasting insanely powerful Electric Moves! That's HER job, yes yes!!!

Snivy's appearance and the commentary around it prompted some blinking from the wandering monk, before recovering and slowly shaking his head, holding up a hand in a 'stop' motion to signal to his living blitzkrieg to wait long enough for them to adjust before going on the offensive. It was not honorable or fair to strike an opponent that was not ready for battle, so he could be patient as that....Snivy adjusted to the light and readied itself for combat.

Something his sugar loving dog was perfectly happy to do too, as that meant she had more time to study the weird little plant snake, and think all SORTS of ways to play with them, *Bark Bark!*
