"Yes...but also no.  All the Houndour you'll find here in Creshire are still going to be Dark type no matter how hard you look, I can assure you of that.  Orthros is what you might call a Delta Houndour.  Most Deltas are a different type than usual.  Still learning about some of what Orthros can do myself, and we have a long way to go yet before he's reached his full potential."

*bark!  Grrrr...*

"Calm down a little, boy, alright?  I know that's a Ground type.  We'll just have to work around that a little, right?"

*bark!*

'It is not fake - it is make-believe!~' is something I can totally imagine Shiva saying.

Simply because it contains the small word 'hero' it'd tickle her interest one way or the other. But now that (if allowed) has picked up that book and pages a little through it, she gasps a little before she looks back at the Librarian. "E...excuse me, where did you got this book from and...how much would it cost? I know someone who......." *maybe it's not too wise to share that one in the group has evolved his Pawniard with the neat nickname into the white figurine*....who would like this book." (Look, @Nylon, I found a possible gift for you, unless it'll cost me an arm and a leg.)

Humm. I'd guess the Apricorn seedlings are the most interesting thing due to long-term investment and having the knowledge to grow them healthily, but can it be determined which kind Apricorns ( =which color) they'd bear eventually? Or can I even choose?

But before that: Does the owner/vendor allow Shiva to try that full witch outfit once just for see how she'd look? C: Wearing THIS and having Delphox or Lilith or Yena by her side she'd certainly catch the eyes of people (and her group companions, lolz), but for now she's trying to figure out how SHE feel. Or WHETHER she 'feels' anything while wearing this cool costume. "Oh hey, do you want to try on the hat once, Raphael? Don't tell Ventus - poor one would get a heart attack." Melancholy washes over her face and emotions upon realizing that.

'F...first techincal society...? *rattle rattle* ...AH! The paintings at the Candelabra, right!' remembering them, Shiva smiled a little before a spectral candelabra appeared behind her, spooked her massively and unbalanced Ventus..... Again it shows unintentionally that the oddball of a researcher is still vivid in her mind ._. "The first technical society?" That's spoken out now. "If I remember correctly, he found this somewhere on Route 4. Was this society spread all over Chresire before their...'Fall'? Did they 'fall' with King Sarimanok?" He seems to be vivid and almost omnipresent as well. "But, ehm... It's been a gift by a dear person, I wouldn't really wish to part with it."

That statement ends up confusing Terra, as he looked back and forth between you and Orthros with srunched eyebrows.

"If all Houndour here are same as the ones back home, then how does your doggie exist? Or was I wrong about it being a Fire/Psychic type? Never heard or seen.....'Delta' Pokémon too, but they sound very interesting. Hmm....does the group have more of these 'Delta' Pokémon. Ven's report didn't mention anything about this type of Pokémon...."

Genie just giggled some more at the fiendish looking doggie barks, completely unconcerned with the aggression/threat behind them. They'll have to show they have some bite if they want to intimidate her even a little~!

Librarian: "If you wanted to own that book, it would be $250. I also let people pull up a stool and read right here in the booth, though the lighting isn't perfect."

The Hero seems to be a human Pokemon Trainer - he has a full party of six, three Steel types and three Psychic types.  He goes on a journey using the magical powers of his armor, made from "long-dead Pokemon" and carrying some of their powers forward.

Nurseryman: The Apricorn seedlings would be random. After two months you'd know what color they are.

Dressmaker: "Oh yes, oh yes, you simply must try it on! It will look wonderful on you! Look, there is a dressing room at that end of the tent; this is why I chose to locate my booth here!"

Clockmaker: "The FTS looong precedes Sarimanok. Even the first Kings don't really overlap with the FTS, I believe. But yes, they spread all over Creshire, particularly in the mountains where they could mine things. It is believed they had a massive stronghold north of Mt. Sentry."

Nathan vs Terra Introductory Battle Round 10

When Orthros makes a face, it's about as hideous as a face can be! Especially if you didn't know how sweet this dog could be.

Nathan continues talking as the battle goes on.

"Orthros is part Psychic type, as you just saw, but he's....technically not from Creshire.  It's a long story.  I have a few more Deltas in my PC, and the rest of the group has a few as well.  Ground/Fire Hippopotas, Rock/Flying Onix, Ice/Fairy Vulpix from the Alola region, a Bug/Rock Pineco...a Delta Foretress that's actually still the same type as a usual Foretress.  I've heard there's some kind of Delta Parasect in the Safari Zone too, which is something I want to check out.  Also encountered a Steel type Porygon, a Steel type Shellder/Slowking, a Rock type Sunkern which actually lives in the Museum in Cress City...oh, uh...right, you probably don't even know what half of these pokemon are off the top of your head...well, I'll tell you a little more after the battle."

Once Orthros faints, he recalls the doggy.  And then...

*CLAP!*

@Iron knows what that means. Wink

Terra still looked slightly confused, but less so now, and that honest and simple look of wonder had reappeared on his face as you rattled through that list of Delta Pokémon. True to your assumption, he didn't recognize any of them but Vulpix, Onix, Slowking (Due to you having sent one out earlier), and the Forrestress line, the last of which obviously piqued his interest AND Basteele's, who opened her eyes to give that boy to give the boy a curious look too.

"Yes....we will need to talk more about this later. I would also like to meet that Delta Forrestress of yours too, and introduce them to Basteele. With you permission, of course," he said, before his eyes widened and he hastily added that last sentence, looking briefly chastised. Remember, Terra, don't be to forward, remember.....

That last display snapped him out of his embarrassment at almost commiting another social faux pass, causing both him and his fairy princess to tilt their heads curiously as they waited to see what the deal with THAT was. The bold bombshell promptly went back to napping instead, though, now that the topic of Delta Pokémon had passed.

The sudden CLAP from Nathan is him spinning and startling the newly evolved Gallade!

He needs three successes on an Ambush check for this to work right...

5 Dex + 3 survival + 2 Stealth
(6)(4)(4)(4)(4)(4) (6)(6)(3)(3)

...Gallade flinches! He stares at Nathan, quite surprised, then he realizes what just happened. Well, he won't fall for that ever again!
+1 Dex for Gallade

Init: (6) + 9 = 15

Gallade takes a battle-ready stance now.

Nathan laughs.  Yup, he basically just used Fake Out on Gallade!  Steadfast is a hard Ability to activate consistently, unfortunately.  "Sorry...hehe...about that...Gallade...hehe...on the plus side, you get to try out your new Ability now, right?  Hehe..."
