Instead of a handshake, Reiner's suddenly got a pokeball of some variety in his hand, still looking a little wary.

That comment of your managed to bring a full brown grin to the Odd person's face as they clapped both hands together in satisfaction.

"You do say the very nicest things, don't you know sir? So eager to fight, too - yes, yes, you got warrior's blood in you, I'm certain of it! How delightfully rare! We'll have our battle right now then! Follow me!"

Next thing you know, you're lead to what you recognize one of makeshift battlefield set up by the Flower Festival Committee to accommodate the number of Trainers that poured into the city to experience the festivities. You were on one side of the field, and on the other was Fluidity, twirling a Priemer Ball on their index finger, stilling grinning.

"Ready, sir?"

"I wouldn't say a warrior's blood, but close enough, I suppose."

Reiner's first pokemon will be Raijin.

"Oh? Well, that just make you all the more interesting, doesn't it?"

Say that, Fluidity then tossed out their P. Ball and summoned their choice of Pokémon to the battlefield simulataneously as you did. The thunder god lazily blinked once he fully materialized, before looking around and noticing he wasn't in being called to fight a swarm of big, nasty, and deadily Corrupted Nuclear types. He then almost immediately shrugged it and got into combat stance, apathetically staring at his opponent....until he suddenly quirked an eyebrow in mild surprise. Which, coming from them, was the closest thing you get to full blown shock.

By all appearences, what the Odd person summoned was nothing more than a Volbeat , fluttering to and fro as he readied themselves for battle. Wait....no, something different was about them. Its face was more delicate and soft than the average species by far, its form was more lithe, curvy, and darker in coloration, and it had longer, more fancy looking antenna?

A few seconds passed before you figured it out: that Volbeat was no he, but a she

Well THAT isn't something you see everyday!

Initiatives:

Raijin: 6 + (2) = 8
She-Volbeat: 7* + (3) = 10

She-Volbeat goes first, and then Raijin.

Oddity Fluidity Round 1!

The She-Volbeat starts things off strong by furiously flapping her winds, trying to kick up a might breeze to speed her and cement the Initiative she has!

Tail Glow
Accuracy: DEX (3) + Fight (3) + Channel (2) - 3 Actions = 5D6 Dice
(4)(5)(2)(3)(2)
She Volbeat and her Team's DEX will be raised by 2 for 4 Rounds!

Being the restful reptile he is, he initially responds by casually shaking his head....before suddenly brought forth a terrify crackling aura of electricity, showing just how unimpressed he really is!

Errie Impulse
(6)(5)(6)(3)(5)(4)(2)(2)
It really works! She Volbeat STR decreased by 2!

Somewhat cowed by the light show, none the less the bright lady grit her teeth and created suddenly started glowing brilliantly as they produce an orb of light and sent it twirling around the lazy lizard! Illuminate triggered and revealed!

Confuse Ray
(5)(4)(6)(4)(3)(3)
Temporary Blinding: (1) Nope
Raijin is left slack jawed at the spectacle, and is Confused as a result!

Unfortunately, this impact his ability to finally channel his Electrical might, as he almost drunkenly swayed as he raised one hand to the sky, before swiftly bringing it down!

THUNDER
(2)(2) …and absolutely nothing happened but him tripping over his feet and slamming face first into the battlefield, taking 1 Damage. The heavens are displeased with Raijin's disorderly conduct, and saw fit to punish him!

Giggling at the apparent failure of her opponent, the Illuminating Insect tail bulb suddenly began to glow even MORE grossly incandescent, as they channeled their natural power to reach even more stunning heights!

Tail Glow!
(4)(2)(3)(1)(6)
She Volbeat is GREATLY bolstered by her light, increasing her Strength by 4 in the process due to Illuminate!!! Net gain of + 2 STR!

The thunder god got back up and tries to zap the gloating gadfly again, this time using by pulsing his own electrical currents in a wide, sweeping arc!

Parabolic Charge
(3)(1)(1)(6) ...which also fails to do much, as the She Volbeat just shot high into the air and hovered well out of the way of the Move. In fact, he just getting blown back and conking his head on the battlefield again as the energy raced back to meet him, making him suffer 1 Damage in the process. Not giving a shock and awe performance here, Raijin...

Fluidity couldn't help but let a few chuckles out and give you a coyly sympathetic at how little was accomplished by your remarkably unlucky dragon, but other than that she kept silent.

Current Status:

Raijin: 8/10, - 1 Pain, Confused
She-Volbeat: Fresh, + 2 STR, Tailwind Boost (3 Rounds left, counting the next one)

Oookaaayy...

"I think you need a breather, Raijin.  Seems you're still a little out of practice."

Recalling Raijin to clear the confusion and sending out...Ayame!  Regardless of where she lands in the initiative, her course of action against she-Volbeat is...

Fury Stinger x4!
Accuracy: 11 - 4/5/6/7 = 7/6/5/4 D6
Damage: 3 + 1 + STAB + SP = 6 D6 base per hit
Effect: Poison of some variety (3 chance dice per hit)

[Yeap, the dice still despise you, or want to make this fight more difficult than not!]

Fluidity's eyes lite up with sharp fascination and interest as you summoned Ayame on the field, leaning to get a good look at the imposing giant poisonous insect and they clasped their hands together!

"Does my eyes deceive me, or is that a GTH Beedrill you own? How utterly remarkable! I knew you were an interesting person when I first saw you, but I would never have thought to find a kindred spirit in collecting the rare and exotic in you like myself! Oh please, you must tell me where you managed to captured such a beautiful Pokémon, and I promise you that you'll be paid handsomely!"

Of course, this reveal didn't distract her enough to not give orders to her She-Volbeat, who looked jealously at the ninja bee for hogging all their master's attention. She didn't appreciate her position as 'Best Bug' being usurped, and she's going to show her contempt!

Ayame's Initiative: 6 + (6) = 12 ; Tie goes to She Volbeat due to her having higher DEX due to Tailwind

Oddity Fluidity Battle Round 2!

In linue of inflicting Confusion on Ayame, the She-Volbeat opts to express her vehemence by emulating Raijin, as their body suddenly started to crackle with electricity before they defiantly pointed one nubby arm at her opponent and let loose a stream of pure energy!

Thunderbolt
Accuracy: 10D6 Base Dice - 3 Actions = 7D6 Dice
(4)(3)(4)(4)(4)(6)(2) Its SHOCKINGLY powerful! Critical Hit.
Damage: STR (*6) + 3 + STAB (Surprise!) + Crit - Vitality (5) = 7D6 Damage
(6)(1)(5)(5)(6)(5)(2) Ayame takes 5 Damage; 9/14 HP , - 1 Pain
Paralysis: (3) Nope!

The relatively docile hornet was left badly tingling after her improtu electroshock therapy, causing her to glare at the brilliant bug before she blitzed forward and began stinging her all over with a vengeance!

Fury Stinger X 4
1st Hit: (2)(4)(3)(6)(2)(4) Hit!
2nd Hit: (1)(5)(5)(4)(1) Hit!
3rd Hit: (1)(4)(6)(1) Hit!
4th Hit: (2)(2)(6) Hit! She-Volbeat is sure in for a purpling brusing!
Damage Per Hit: 6D6 Damage - Vitality (3) = 3D6 Damage per hit
(2)(5)(4) (3)(1)(3) (2)(6)(5) (5)(3)(1) She-Volbeat takes 5 Damage; 2/7 HP, - 2 Pain!
Poision Chance(s): (6)(6)(1) (6)(5)(5) (3)(6)(5) (3)(6)(2) Blaargh, she's been Super Badly Poisoned too!!!

After that barrage of painful pokes, the no longer gloating gadfly looked both thoroughly battered and ready to violently expel the contents of her stomach, but musters up enough Strength to continue giving her now MUCH more hated rival devastating shocks!

Thunderbolt 2
(2)(6)(2)(6)(2) Hits!
(5)(5)(1)(5)(5) Ayame takes 4 Damage; 5/14 HP, - 2 Pain!
Paralysis: (5) Nope

Thunderbolt 3
(5)(3)(2)(3) Ayame almost manages to dodge out of the way, but She-Volbeat manages to narrowly jerk the stream of electricity towards the direction they moved!
(4)(6)(1)(3)(1) Ayame takes 1 Damage; 4/14 HP!
Paralysis: (6) Bzzt! Ayame's Paralyzed!

Badly Poison Check: Vitaity - 2 this Round
(1) Wah wah waaaaah. She-Volbeat DOES let loose a stream of putridly black vomit at the end of the Round, before her she slumps forward into her own sick, passed out and her body beganing to violently convulse from the Poison playing merry hell with her biology

For the first time the Odd person look alarmed as their precious rare insect was rapidly wasting away, before they rapidly step forward to administer a Antidote and just as quickly recalled them, and then looking at you with a weak but still noticeably impressed smile.

"The rumors of GTH Beedrill having extremely lethal venom is not just an exaggeration, or at least that is what I can see with my She-Volbeat. Poor thing...I hope she gets better after a trip to the Center. Hm Hm....a rather nasty and impressive display of her natural talents, sir."

They then pocket her fallen Pokémon's ball and draws out another Premier Ball, looking poised to toss it right out!

"Now let's see how you handle my next rarity."

What is you next move? Switch the ninja bee out, or let her stay in?

"Oh yeah, she's a GTH Beedrill all right.  Considering they live in huge hives, though, I wouldn't recommend trying to get one yourself.  Unless you like to live dangerously, that is.  I won't stop ya if so, but we can discuss that after the fact."

Reiner recalls Ayame.  "Excellent job, Ayame.  Well then, Fluidity, I think you might find my next pokemon particularly impressive."

Next up is...

...Yang!

"Hm hm....nothing can stop me once I see my sights on a prize, whether it be a goal of mine or an extraordinary Pokémon or Item. A swarm of GTH Beedrill won't deter me in claiming one of them for myself in the slightest, but I do thank you for the concern sir."

They said that with an airy mirth and utter confidence, indicating they were either as foolhardy as Arial or just that sure of their abilities. Given how little and weird Fluidity was, you couldn't say if it was the former, later, or both.

Saying their piece, the Odd person threw out their P. Ball, and in a flash a Gallade was summoned! A female Gallade, judging by how feminine their face looked, how lithe and even more graceful their body appeared, and a sort of battle dress/skirt she was wearing that reminded you heavily of the dress that a Garvedour wore.

The psychic knightess was fortunately FAR less yandere than either the species final evos you meet a couple days prior, giving a polite bow to both you and Yang before getting into combat stance, with the later cautiously returning the gesture with narrow, beady eyes as they stared down their opponent. Normally they wouldn't be so wary with a 'simple' Pokémon, but the vibe he was getting from them....it was rackling his scales....

Initiatives:

Yang: 6 + (1) = 7
Feme-Gallade: *7 + (6) = 13

Feme-Gallade goes first, then Yang
