Vulpix will still have 4 defense. Guard Split just sets your defense to the average until the Pokemon is withdrawn, much like Defense Curl or whatever.

That's worth 51 exp total, actually.  No levels in this campaign (and even if there were levels, the core book has them function very differently from how they work in the games.  Moves learned/learnable isn't directly dependant on your pokemon's level like in the games. Unless you houserule it, that is)

That's good to hear.  Hope this doesn't cause too many problems for too long.  Tech issues are never fun :/

- At some much later point, Shiva does receive a parcel alongside her healed Pokemon from Nurse Joy. It's rather small, but if one can believe the adress, it's from HOME!! It sadly doesn't contain Spectral's Ball (but some pictures of her, one depicting her peacefully sleeping on Shiva's bed - her fine black fur almost merges with the black blanket), but instead a small bluish medal and a note in a graceful handwriting: Shiva, my cutesy witch! I shall give you that with best regards from Mr. Medal. Usually Trainer use or try to use a move that won't have any effect on purpose to get their hands on this one, but you almost did so with full unawareness; deserving the 'Noneffective Artist' Medal like nonelse. Dont worry. I too was a newbie in the beggining too. You will get use it to the system with no problems. You are doing better than I when I begin.
