(Teleporting with a Pokemon usually works by mentally conveying the place to the 'Mon, imaginating the place in as many facets as possible and making the Pokemon get a clear picture of the destination, especially when it's a new team member - it's a bit more than just saying 'Use Teleport'. ^^

We're also at the end of the day, maybe saving battles for the next day? of course, I don't know how many Encounter Slots you already used, Spirit.)

Nathan doesn't really comment on much while Heart is telling the group about his plans for the next few days.

...he does get a little...nervous when Heart mentions he went to catch a Natu.  He can only think of one place around here where Natu are common...

...in general, though, he remains quiet and just a tad moody and thoughful, since this is at the end of the day, Valder had just left, and Nathan and Shiva had only just finished their private conversation...

Yep, that battle's going to have to wait until tomorrow. You can do non-combat things in Stair if you wish.

Noticing Shiva's discomfort at his words, Patch apologizes. "I meant no offense! Quite the contrary. A beneficial mutation is Mother Nature testing out a possible upgrade! It's clear your Mightyena has several benefits to his mutation, and you are wise for raising him!"

Patch Round 3

"Porygon, two evasions and a Signal Beam before the hail gets to you!"

Ice Shard 1
(4)(3)(2)(3)(2)(3)(5) = 2 successes
Porygon2 has 10 evasion dice with Agility, -3 actions, -2 pain = 5d6
(3)(1)(5)(6)(1)

It's an extremely close, photo finish. Ice Shard is BARELY faster than Porygon2. The attack BARELY clips the digiduck.

(1)(6)(3) And it barely does enough damage to knock Porygon2 out of the battle!

"Wowza! Time for some more engineering on you, Porygon. Good battle, Shiva."

5XP for each Pokemon and Shiva.

In fact it is. Heart going first to the partament store to buy some important item: The TM-Protect and the TM-Sandstorm. Since this is the two mosty important TM to teach Gargryph and make him a unstoppable tank storm.

(Hah, I KNEW Porygon2 would try to evade! That's why I decided for a Single Action, and it turned out right!~ Feels good.)

That apology was greatly appreciated and does a fine job softening Shiva's mildly hurt feelings. She opens her arms again and gifts Patch a thankful look, Mother Nature is doing....what....? "Thanks, really. I, well, I never saw things this way. Mother Nature testing out...things.... That's actually, hm, pretty cool to consider... I'll keep what you said in mind." *light and honest smile*

Good battle indeed, Patch does deserve an eager handshake for this for sure! (+800$, 7 more XP needed on Mightyena before challenging Chuckles) White Vulpix, visibly panting, gets picked up from the group and protectively held close in a praising hug, her white fur felt so incredibly soft (but also cold), aww! "GREAT job there, dear one! You have potential. Thank you for trusting in my orders and following them - rest a little for now, will you?" She gets recalled into the safety of her Ball. With a coy manner, she does turn to patch once more, seemingly wanting to say something - but being not too sure how to do it. In the end, the words just came. "Good battle, indeed! I... well, I enjoyed it, and I could have never seriously anticipitated to defeat your Rhyperior as fast as I did. M-more engineering, you said... I'd be happy to see what you've come up...with...... Rematch at some point? Can we...shall we... maybe exchange phone numbers?"

Once that's clarified, back to Cress City with precious Helios' help, Shiva wouldn't know where she'd be without his help. Psychic Power - whoahw, she knew it could be useful in everyday's life, but only when having his help and having raised/still raising various Psychic Types Shiva does realize this for real. It's a pleasant feeling. <3

This feeling gets crushed by that lurch hitting her though, it causes a desire in her to wrap up the day as fast as possible and then seek the comfort and the safety of the bed up in dorm, where these weird lurches HOPEFULLY won't mess with her. In an instant, Yena and Vulpix are given to a Nurse Joy with the kind ask to heal them up overnights (haha, has a Joy in Creshire ever seen a Pokemon from Alola?), in return for them Nightshade and Lilith come back into her party.

Logging off, stepping out of the Center, making a heartfelt run to Celebi Park to plant the Kirlia Slipper in order for it grow! She'd believe the soil there is perfect for it, she takes extra care to plant it in a secure spot so that it can sucessfully root. Sometime tomorrow she'll dig it out again and present it to Tam, looking forward to see her again!~ Nightshade and Raphael are out of their Balls to eagerly watch what Master is doing there, she's not too shy to explain what she's doing there to these two. As a final act, Vaporeon comes out of her Ball to water the Kirlia Slipper with a held back Water Gun.

With that being done and a commemorate photo made of the orchid, Shiva makes a just as quick walk back to the Center, on the way already she checks the news on cell - anything about Jo? Is there...maybe even a livestream or broadcast of her Champion Battle to see? What kind of person does she seem to be, what can she tell about that Furfrou that has been given to by Golda as a Starter, and how is the genral feeling of the battle? These are the things that interest her. (It's also the last thing to do, after that I'm

Terra looks somewhat perturbed that one of his wards was going off to Stair City all by himself, but he manages to muscle past those feelings and give his friend a firm nod of his head in response. Unlike the Skull Ruins, the dangerous presented by industrial cities/quiet towns were much more tolerable/less threatening, and the collector had a simple plan and ETA to stick to, so he could quietly accept their decision. If they come back after 2-3 days, though…then he'll start worrying in earnest.

He also noticed how...quiet and serious looking that Nathan had become, but choose to leave them to their own ruminations instead of checking in on them. They didn't look like they were on the verge of a breakdown, so he believes the boy can handle their own problems without him butting in and potentially doing something ruinous.

"Sure. Call me when you've upgraded Vulpix into a Ninetales, perhaps." Shiva registered Patch's number!

The Champion Battle is streaming in every TV and it's advertised all over the web. (anyone who wants can tune in).

However, at this level of battling, you see a lot of dust, a ton of energy flying in all directions, and not a whole lot of actual Pokemon.

Jo has a brief interview before the battle starts. She seems like a very down-to-earth girl, about 25 years old, with mousy brown hair and plain features. There's nothing in her appearance to suggest she's strong enough to challenge the Elite Four and the Champion, Bo - except a blazing fire in her eyes even when she's calm.

Her Furfrou stands proudly at her side, hair closely cropped into a military Manectric kind of appearance. Very practical with just a bit of flair suggesting lightning or flames.

Champion Bo is not even seen in a close up. Instead the camera pans around the steel & concrete arena, with its trademark Pokeball shape. Tall Grass has been allowed to grow up between cracks in the arena, providing a little cover and emphasizing the League's logo.

When the starting gun goes off, both trainers toss Pokeballs and begin shouting commands at once. Attacks emanate from their Pokemon, drowning out the pickup microphones and swathing the battlefield in smoke. You can hear barking, and see electricity crackling through the dust. You hear Jo's high voice and Bo's calm, soothing voice, but it's hard to hear what exactly they are commanding. There are a lot more conditions and last minute changes at this highest level.

Furfrou goes down, and before the smoke can clear Jo sends out a Salamence. But it, too, fails to damage Bo's first Pokemon. A Raichu, a Blaziken, an Amoonguss, and finally an Excadrill go down without seeming to tire the Champion. You catch glimpses of lots of moves available only through breeding.

As Jo is performing the formal surrender, the microphone catches a faint bleating noise, as of a herd Pokemon, and the camera zooms in on the loser. The announcer is praising Bo's modesty and Jo's good graces, until it cuts to commercial.

The stream returns with Jo's registration in the Hall of Fame. Each of her Pokemon is placed in the blocky machine, healed instantly, and recorded for all time as a challenger against the strongest trainer in Creshire. She selects special honors for her Furfrou, the Pokemon who bravely faced the unknown before she knew what Pokemon Bo would send out. You can tell she's a little sad she never laid a scratch on Bo's Pokemon, though.

"And that's it for tonight's match! We have another challenger scheduled in two weeks - will he defeat the Elite Four and get a chance of his own to face Champion Bo? Tune in to find out!"

Awwww man Sad The secret's out now...

Ah well...

Nathan would definitely be watching that broadcast.  With great interest.

"...yet another clean sweep for Bo...well, there ya have it, Gallade.  That's what we'll be up against one day.  At least, I'd like to one day get that far..."

Still, even though Jo lost that battle, she definitely gets some quiet, respectful applause from Nathan.

Not just anyone can say they faced the Champion.

But even fewer can say they actually battled him...
