[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Damnit...I should have change Gargryph for Typhon. At least I have could a good protection since Typhon have Levitate. I would able to cause SE against both Butterfree and Arbok. I stupid. And I cant even change now...

I kinda felt the same way at first about sending in Forthright after I was reminded about the Weather Indoors thing, but then I thought about it a little more and figured something out that worked out pretty well!  I'm sure you'll think of a decent plan too.

Mate, Gargryph still has Ancient Power to hit Butterfree for MASSIVE damage, and with a Substitute up Status won't bother them at all. Just have Golet Cover them while they set up and spam AP on Butterfree, while they help hammer away at the Bug too. Simple! Sure, Arbok is still standing, but once its partners are gone, it will be a cinch to tag team it to Faint!

It's a 6v6, though, so it's going to be awhile before Arbok's partners are completely depleted.  Arbok's Intimidate is also making it slightly harder to deal damage for as long as it remains on the battlefield.

Hmm, in that case, I have a plan. Lets see if it works...

Alright, @Spiritmon, here's a quick rundown on how Rollout works:

- Since you're using Defense Curl in the same Round, that adds +1 Dice to all its damage rolls
- Since it's successive actions, its Accuracy is calculated the same as moves like Fury Swipes.  Declare how many times you're using it, then apply the Action Penalties as you normally move
- Since it's Successive Actions, you also get to use all of Rollout's attacks before the next pokemon in the Initiative gets to go
- Since it's Rollout, the last hit in the chain also gets an additional +1 Damage Die (if it hits). You also cannot use it as a single action according to the book (if I'm interpretting that correctly). It has to be used 2-5 times if it's used.

If you want to Defense Curl and then Rollout twice, that's 3 actions in the Round.  Defense Curl has a -3 Action penalty, while the two Rollouts still have -4 and -5 Action penalties as normal. The only difference is you get to use all of the Rollouts before the next pokemon gets to move.

Since Golett is first in the initiative, and has a multi-hit Rock move that can hit that Butterfree for 2+ damage guaranteed with every hit, you might not even need Defense Curl to KO the butterfly before it can do anything nasty (or anything at all, really).

In that case should I use Rollout 3x? Sorry if I have make such not good dice making. I still getting use to Successive actions who still a pretty trick to me sometimes.

How many times you use it is up to you to decide.  But if you don't want Butterfree Quiver Dancing or spreading more status, do whatever you can to KO it as quickly as possible.  Rollout just happens to be an excellent way to do just that.

Rollout x3 looks like this, btw:
Acc: 4 + 3 + 3 - 1 Acc - 3/4/5 Actions = 6/5/4 D6
Dmg: 1 Power + 3 Strength + QE - 3 Defense = 1 D6 Base + 2 Damage per hit (third/last Rollout is 2 D6 + 2 Damage)

Since all the attacks are used before the next pokemon can move, it's easier to risk stretching yourself thin and not worry about Pain causing you to miss low accuracy hits, too (just watch out for priority moves and pokemon with higher initiatives). Butterfree probably has 8 HP, so landing 4 Rollouts is a guaranteed KO, while landing 3 and getting at least 2 successes on damage will also KO. Landing 2 Rollouts could also KO, but it'd be more reliant on chance since you'd need 4+ successes on the damage dice.

Slightly unrelated, but I noticed Gargryph's Stored Power is really strong after it gets an Ancient Power buff in a Sandstorm.  +1 Strength, +2 Defense, +1 Dexterity, 1 Base Power plus however many Attribute buffs you have...

One question: Ancient Power only increase my atributes correct? Strengh, Vitality, Dexterity and Insight correct? It not increase my skills or Specialities correct?
