[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel

Reiner inaudibly grumbles a little under his breath.  This is hardly the time for stealth and hiding from allies that would benefit from knowing who they're helping...

But yeah, the explanation stays.  Reiner doesn't want any...problems to occur due to a misunderstanding.  He's not thinking long term right now.  That can be dealt with later.  There are more pressing issues to deal with now.  And that includes concern for Mew in her (still somewhat) weakened state after seeing first hand how...vicously those corrupted nuclears tore into Arial and Yang.

And Kingdra. Especially Kingdra.

I'll let Arial and Lindworm react to how irritated with Arial Reiner looks before he actually says anything.

Lindworm can probably infer that it's due to the what was said over the walkie, I imagine.

Your fellow exile had indeed put two and two together , looking at you and then the madman, before shaking his head at the later man a heaving a great big *Sigh* . Right now, in the very thick of a super hazardous and extraordinarily, horrendously D A N G E R O U S place, it was not the time to crack wise and/or being overly sarcastic/'witty' .

"Arial....can you please not aggravate Reiner.....or anything else here, for that matter? We are on a mission to subdue the threat that his place poses to Celadon City, and in order to do that we need to cooperate peacefully and with minimal strike. Humor and levity are the wit of the soul, and they have their proper occasions to take place, but our mission is not one of them...."

Arial nod his head in agreement with Lindworm. "No problemo. I understand mate. The humor is kinda my thing. I called Copycat for a reason. But I understand what you mean. This is no times for jokes. Be make dinner for nuclear rodents was...not a good experience for me."

Then Arial notice Reiner grumpyness and decide to say something to reduce the level of hostility. "Well, I have good news for you two. Depending in how you see that. When you was out doing the bussiness in the Grove, when I was ambush by a very much angered Nuclear Gyarados. Yeah. A fucking nuclear Gyarados. You problably have heard the huge "ROAR!" that thing have shout. If you dont believe me, look my stat." Then Arial show his body with scars of the Thrash Gyarados have done to him. "And the destruction of the battle." Then Arial point the place in trash (more than before). "It was difficult, but we were able to dispach the nuclear Gyarados." Then Arial points to both Melchior and Zeus.

"Aaaaand of course I find other uses to this." Then Arial show Reiner the TPK. Lindworm problably dont know what is the heck is that weapon. "That beauty here help a lot too. Anyway, after beating Gyarados, I have capture him. We never know when you might need a powerfull Nuclear Dragon heh? I was thinking if you two could me deal with Gyarados later when finish our bussiness here in the Nuclear Facility. But of course not even I crazy to deal with a N-Gyarados without proper protection." Then Arial came a little closer to the door to open the next level. "In my home region Tandor, there is a certain species of pokemon called Hazma. He is stable Nuclear Pokemon. And he is pretty different. Instead of corrupt areas with Nuclear energy, he purify it. He absorb the nuclear energy and clean areas. They are pretty rare, but they are atract to places with high levels of radiotivity."

Arial then open his arms and point the place around them. "This place is filled from the floor to the roof with Nuclear energy. There must be a good bunch of Hazma somewere. They even capable to purify a Pokemon from the Nuclear Form to his normal form. If we find Hazmas, we can purify Gyarados to make him less anger. Since you Reiner is a Dragon Tamer, this will be less problematic. Think about it: A powerfull Gyarados. And with the Hazmas we can make a good money since they care clean nuclear areas. I want at least one. So gentlemen, what you two say?"

Contrary to what Arial was expecting, that topic change doesn't exactly ease Reiner's mood any.

"...you have got to be @$#% kidding me.  You're telling me that you not only somehow soloed a wild, incredibly angry Gyarados, but you also caught it with the expectation that you'd have a chance, however slim, to tame it?  Un-@$#%-believable..."

Reiner shakes his head.

"There's only three kinds of trainers that can even hope to control a Gyarados properly, ya know: the most skilled Water specialists, the highest level Dragon Tamers...and the trainers who let their sea serpent do whatever the hell it wants.  A normal Gyarados is hard enough for even them to control as it is.  A Nuclear one would be nigh impossible to tame!"

He would have asked what the hell Arial was thinking, but the madman kinda already said that, so...he would have also called Arial crazy for doing this...but we all know he already is.

"...alright, fine.  Provided we can find a Hazma, and provided you can get that monstrosity out of here, fine, I'll help you.  Mostly because I do not want to see or hear about a Nuclear @#$% Gyarados rampaging through some city and turning it into another fallout zone, and I know I'm not going to be able to convince you to leave that swimming time bomb behind."

...well...I guess that was a partial success for Arial?  It's probably not what Lindworm was expecting Reiner to say, though...

Lindworm was entirely silent during and after Arial's explanation and Reiner....terse reaction, as he wasn't the kind of man prone to explosive reactions like his fellow exile. His tensed body posture and crossed arms, however, spoke volumes about the idea to trying taming a NUCLEAR Gyarados with hardly ANY experience with Water and/or Dragon types.

Still, when Reiner agreed to it on the condition of finding a way to make such a beast more tractable with a Hazma, he had to sudden urge to object to such an obviously BAD and UNCERTAIN idea it was instead of giving it a mercy killing. Instead of acting upon it, though, he let it die out and only let out a put upon *Sigh* , before nodding his head too. As he said, now wasn't the time for disagreements and fighting, and with a accomplish Dragon Tamer helping that reckless man not kill himself/anyone else, he could follow along with their decision....for now.

"YEY! AWESOME!" Say Arial happy to his boss decision. "No problemo boss! You not gonna regret it, you can count with that! I sure we will be able to find a Hazma around here and get out of this place with our nucmons in hands. You can put your faith on that." Arial give a thumbs up. "Then we will be able to tame a less Lethal Draconic dragon!" With a smile Arial point the direction of the door. "Lets go foward guys? There still plenty of path to follow in this place. Lets keep going." Then Arial go in the direction of the door and put the card to open the next level of the Nuclear Factory.

"Wait just a moment, Arial.  Don't go anywhere quite yet.  Two things.  One: if you felt those tremors earlier, that was Rhyxemplar using Earthquake to quite...devastating effect.  Might have turned up something useful that was hidden deep underground, and the pokemon he used it on were holding some potentially useful health restoring berries.  Might be worth our time to go investigate that."

"Two: I found a rather...useful pokemon in that Grove.  One that should be fairly effective at helping us all get through this alive."

Without too much more to preface it, out comes Geigeroach.

"Lindworm, Arial, this is Geigeroach, a much more level headed pokemon than most of the ones around here.  She's particularly good with using Dual Screens, Wide Guard, and Magic Coat, and completely immune to Nuclear type moves.  She should be a great help."

Reiner makes sure to stand between the trainers and Geigeroach, just in case.  "I think we should check out those upturned Berry Fields, see what we can find while we have the chance.  Maybe dig up the berries that were undoubtedly buried by the tremors as well.  Could use those to patch up some of our injured pokemon if we can find them.  Geigeroach should be able to help us if trouble comes calling.  There's a large swarm of Nuclear Beedrill near that area which she was leading, so we shouldn't have to worry about those at least."

Arial was surprised to see Reiner keeping a Nuclear Pokemon of his own. After some seconds Arial finally spoke. "There go my unique quirk to have a Nucmon. But cant complain that pokemon of yours is awesome! They are quite rare even in Tandor those Geigeroach. You find a nice a find my friend. And immune to nuclear attacks and with the ability to make defensive boosts! Impressive. Also yeah, I have feel the tremors but I have suspect that your pokemon doing. Anyway, I think we should take a look indeed. The more healing items we find, the better."

Lindworm is briefly caught off guard and perturbed by you summoning what looked to be a overgrown, nuclear green cockroach (He takes one step back and his body goes stiff), but your subsequent explanation soothes his worries enough that he accepts it without compliant. If Reiner says/alludes that this Nuclear Pokémon is more a boon than a harmful liability, then he'll trust him while quietly planning contingencies should things go awry. His fellow exile has certainly proved himself capable in many ways for him to have faith in him....and many others ways that made him tread very lightly and hedge his bets. You can never be too careful, after all.

However, the irradiate insect doesn't take your decision to cover her in stride, instead smoothly placing herself in front of you, crossing her arms and just staring at both unknown, untested men. If anyone should do the guarding around here, it would be her, even if its from people her associate seems to consider at least allies.

The excommunicate acolyte disagrees with you idea to search the.....tilled portion of the Berry Fields, shaking his head and simply saying: "We do not have all too much time to carrying out our mission, Reiner. If their are to be useful Items to be gathered, they are most likely in the NRF itself. A research facility concerning the development and study of principally Nuclear Energy no doubt has ample Medical supplies and other resources at their disposal."
