He has most of his important moves - Low Kick, Karate Chop, Revenge, Low Sweep, Seismic Toss, Knock Off, Vital Throw, and Submission. He has No Guard, too, if necessary."

Machop will use Nathan's stats and the above movelist.

"Hmmm...okay, so major statuses and pokeballs don't work, but how about crippling Rampardos's basic Attributes directly with moves like Low Sweep?  Do those still work as expected?  And I take it Rampardos isn't likely to be holding any items and is a standard pure Rock type?  And how about those chains that are restricting its movement?  Do they extend far enough to let Rampardos reach most of the room? (i.e. could a ranged attacker be out of range of Rampardos's contact moves, or can Rampardos reach them even if they try to keep their distance?)"

"Low Sweep worked as expected. He's definitely a Rock type. The room he's in isn't more than about 30' on a side, and he can reach everywhere. The tight quarters are part of the challenge for sure. If you can't do this safely we might have to remove a wall."

Gym Leader Zamboni vs Heart Round 1

"Delibird! Begin our traditional opening!"

Fake Out 1
(6)(6)(3)(2)
Geodude flinches!

Loyalty: (5)(6) vs (5)(4)(1)

Rollout 2-5
(3)(5)(6)(1)
(5)(4)(1)
(4)(4)
(5) Hit four times! Delibird faints!

Loyalty: (3)(4) vs (1)(4)(3)

"Rock types. My one weakness!" Much laughter from the crowd.
"Hey, Alolan Geodude is a cool Pokemon to use! We don't see much of those, other than Alolan Rattata! Good on ya for a rare find! And folks, it has come to my attention that this Geodude was adopted from the Shelter for Disobedient Pokemon in Stair City! Let's hear it for the generosity of challenger Heart!"
*applause*

"For that reason, and because Heart is a very strong trainer, I will bring out a little surprise."

He sends out a bulky bear, covered in fluff and riding its tail like a snowboard! It's also wearing goggles - very important, for the moment it enters the arena, the sublimated frost on the ceiling begins Hailing down on the battlefield!

"This is Anderind, a Pokemon from distant Tandor! What do you say to that, Heart?"

Gallade is steadfastly quiet and respectful while Terra conducts his business. Sometimes Terra catches that glimpse of a smile.

The Fountain of Pokemon Brotherhood has never received the water of a Milotic, though it's had Feebas water. Before Milotic can approach, Anubi hops in the Fountain and starts splashing around.

An onlooker calls out "Riolu doesn't count as a water type just because he's blue!" A few chuckles.

Milotic wraps around the Fountain's rim and adds his water, then slides in for a quick peaceful soak. As always, Milotic turns a lot of heads, and a few people take photos of their own.

Milotic has to stick his head into the photo booth, and that up-close snapshot is pinned to the corkboard.

"Alright.  Good information...I think I can do this.  It's a 6v1, so it should be doable.  Let me go get my party ready.  Machop should definitely be useful for this, so I'll leave a spot open for him."

Planned Team: Gallade, Starmie, Solomon, Snivy, Yule, and Machop.

Would there be time to set up some buffs before engaging Rampardos?

Chuckles: "I will know what the items are as soon as you place them in the chandelier to make them official. There's no way to keep them a secret. That's a good question."

You head out onto the battlefield, with its thick wooden woven floor over the water. Today there are dim candles floating there, with red flames, very unlike the blue lights of the chandeliers.

You send out Spinda and Mightyena as he sends out a Mismagius, which Ventus described to you as being very accurate and able to use many attacks with its wand. Then another Pokeball flashes, the last light before the room goes completely dark. The candles and floating chandeliers both cease as if a lightswitch were thrown or the moon passed before the sun. Silence reigns. The floating floor beneath Shiva's feet rises and falls gently - it's about the only thing Shiva can sense.

Here and there, pairs of the red tealights come to life, like red eyes in the darkness.

"We must have shadow..."says the raspy voice of Chuckles.

The shadows reveal a Dusknoir, wispy and insubstantial.

Mismagius: (6) + 6 = 12
Spinda: (5) + 6 = 11
Dusknoir: (3) + 4 Dex + 2 Survival = 9
Mightyena: (1) +6 = 7

"Let us begin. If you did your research, you must know I always answer all challengers with every ounce of the emotions that threaten to rise up within me...a growing shadow I release onto the battlefield! The Mundane and the Dark do not faze me!"

Definitely. No debuffs of the enemy until you enter the room and become susceptible to his attacks, though.

Heart whistled when he see the Anderind entering the field. "Wow. Now thats a surprise. Anderind. Ice/Ground if I recall. Thats a nice and powerfull offencive combination. A powerfull pokemon to someone who have a Ice team. Nice catch I must say." Heart then decided to call a change. "Unfortanely Iron, I think you will need to return for now. Thats a nasty combination for you." Heart return Alola Geodude and have bring Gustav! "I have imagined you would bring some type of pokemon to counter the types weakness of the Ice-type, so I have bring a pokemon who dont have such thing. In pokemon battles its always important to be at least one or two steps ahead of the foe."

With that say Heart bring his orders. "Alright Gustav! Lets hit hard that foe! First use Swords Dance to increase your might Cannon! Then use Water Pulse 3x! Focus in your water power!"

Swords Dance Accuracy: Dex (4) + Fight (4) + Perform (0) - Actions (4) = 4d6 (Using Will point to make sure Swords Dance will work)
Effect: Increase +2 STR to the user.

Water Pulse Accuracy: Dex (4) + Fight (4) + Canalize (3) - Actions (5/6/7) = 6d6/5d6/4d6
Damage: Power (2) + STR (3) + STAB (1) + SD (2) + SE (1) = 8d6+1
Effect: D3 chance to confuse the foe.

Regardless of the initiative, orders will stay the same.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

Well, to make sure we're off to a strong start and fortune is on our side as much as possible, Gallade will set up a Lucky Chant.

Snivy Coils, and Starmie uses Harden.
They're the ones starting this off, so they'll need to start strong.

I suppose it's time to set the scene and roll out the first few initiatives, then.

Round 1 starts, I'm scared :o:

If the circumstances would be different and she wouldn't feel that silent PRESSURE to make it, Shiva would almost enjoy this eerie and spiritual battlefield, and not even be too scared of the obvious presence of ghosts. She musters the chandeliers long and intensively with a pondering expression - She's not sure yet whether she'll be use any items in this battle and which even, so for now she prefers to keep the options open and NOT attach anything to them. The moment she does though, Chuckles will know, which was fine - (I guess that'll work? I'd rather decide for/against an Item within the Rounds, if that does work too?)

She firmly keeps her Delphox' burning wand in her hands as she follows him and took her stance on the field, she found herself clenching it tighter and gasping in fear as the field goes completely DARK (and reveales a creepy Dusknoir, oh dear!! ), but catches herself notably fast again. That Mismagius does certainly catch her interest - mostly because it's holding a wand, like Ven has explained once with a grim tone. She found herself trying to figure out what it'll do and how exactly it enhances the witchy Pokemon's powers.

Taking a deep breath, she averts her gaze to concentrate on her OWN Pokemon again. "Alright. Fine. We'll begin then. And yes, that much I know. *slights shuddering at 'releasing a growing shadow* "Yena, you know what to do. Spinda....Since you're so eager, keep an eye on Mismagius and copy what it does please."

Accuracy Roll Copycat 1 on Mismagius: Same as the last move she performs, -3 due to Spinda taking 3 Actions.
Damage Roll: Same too. If it's a Ghost Type move, it'll deal +1 autodamage on the target due to SE.
Additional notes: Had to rearrange orders because gambling that Yena will outspeed Spinda turned out a bad choice!

When it's *Mightyena's turn, he turns towards his battlepartner and suddenly lets out a LOUD and STARTLING growl at the panda. She naturally flinches a little, but as that wolf evaded her following strike and even began to jump in circles around her, snatching every now and then after her and didn't stop to bark at her, she became mad. 'That butterwolfly's toying with me, MASTER! >o<; Why does he do that, me not understand!! But... having orders, must follow anyway!' Shiva remained neutral and even smiled very slightly at one point.

-27XP on Yena for him to use SWAGGER the first time, on Spinda!: Accuracy Roll: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 2 Intimidate - 3 Actions = 4d6, in order for this to work 1 Will Point is spent.
Effect: Confuses poor Spinda, but also raises her Strength by 2.
Secondary Effect: Triggers Tangled Feet Ability for a -3 Accuracy Penalty on every move that targets her.

Spinda, now even unsteadier on her feet, leaps forward to boldly SLAP that witchy ghost!

Accuracy Roll Feint Attack 2 on Mismagius: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 2 Brawl - 4 Actions = 3d6
Accuracy Roll Feint Attack 3 on Mismagius: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 2 Brawl - 5 Actions = 2d6
Damage Roll: 5*Strength + 2 power of the move, no STAB but +1 anyway due to held Black Glasses = 8d6 +1 autodamage due to SE.
Additional notes: This move hits even if the Accuracy Roll fails, meaning that Spinda wil use it no matter what even in her confusion!

Yena meanwhile throws a look over his massive shoulder to catch a seilent 'Well done!' from Shiva, before he took a heartfelt leap to SINK HIS FANGS into these ghosts. Shoo, back into the other world with you!!

Accuracy Roll Crunch 2 on Mismagius: 3 Dext +2 Fight +3*Brawl - 4 Actions = 4d6
Accuracy Roll Crunch 3 on Mismagius: 3 Dext +2 Fight +3*Brawl - 5 Actions = 3d6
Damage Roll: 3 Strength + 3 power of the move +1 STAB = 7d6 +2 autodamage due to SE and held Expert Belt! (I imagine him wearing it as a collar :> )
Additional notes: 1 CD to lower Defense by 1. Yena follows Shiva's order to not go lethal without questioning it.

In case Mismagius faints, switch to creepy Dusnoir please.
Yena's also protected from CD-effects by Shield Dust Ability.
Oh! Dark Type's also resistent to Ghost while Normal is outright immune.
If disabled in moves, please stop and await my order.

As a theme we'll use Nightwish's 'Last Ride of the Day' again instead of Flying High on Speedcore because it's epic.

Glad to see that Gallade's enjoying himself in his duties, then! He gets a respecting/respectful nod from the herculean man, before he continues his given tasks in Stair.

Terra doesn't mind the crowd's commentary or opinion about Anubi's playful (and refreshing!) antics, simply watching the young jackal having a blast with arms crossed and a smile on his face. Considering how.....stifling the Shelter felt and the youthful and bold spirit of his newest partner, he could more than allow them to indulge and thoroughly enjoy their freedom, before he started to knuckle down on them/their Disobedience later.

Plus, Anubi splashing around the Fountain was just plain adorable, so how could he deny that from them?

Lovely's natural magnetic, charming looks and contribution to the waterworks yet again draw an adoring crowd, which never failed to warm his heart with love and pride for them as he looked upon his aquatic serpent. After spending years as a lowly Feebas, yet working so hard to become as strong and beautiful as possible in that time, it was immensely gratifying for the rugged wanderer to see their hard wrought dreams fulfilled at long last, and realized in such a magnificent way to boot!

Judging by how much the marvelous fish was enjoying himself and calmly luxuriating in the Fountain with all eyes on him, Lapis Lazuli thoughts lined up with their master's exactly on this matter!

Eventually after taking the photo and keeping a copy for himself (if possible), he decides its time to depart for Cress to finish up the rest of what he planned to do this day. He gave a quick, gruff sound call to Anubi : "Time to go, Anubi. Dry off, and come." , while giving a nod and incline of his towards L.L.L. before returning them. If the aural doggie doesn't immediately come out, he'll just be returned to their Pokeball all soggy. He then walks up to Gallade, and nods his head at them, holding out his hand stoically.

"Take me back to Cress City by the Pokémon Center, please. I'll....text Nathan to come pick you up when we get there, okay?"

Presumably they comply, and in an instant Terra and co are back in the rustic former capital of the Cheshire region. He brings out and fiddles with his Pokedex with a slightly less constrained expression than last time, before he manages to send off a short message to the boy:

"Back in Cress with my Rilou and Gallade. Come pick him up soon, or when you can. We'll be in the Pokémon Center's Training Room."

That done, the simple monk marches straight into the Center and makes a beeline for the most likely empty Training Room (Given the culture ban on battling, it likely doesn't see much use). He selects a clear, open space for what he has in mind, before summoning his blue bomber right in front of him. What they see upon fully materializing was the ominous, serious visage of his master, arms hanging by their sides as they stared imposingly and almost forebodingly at him.

Oh dear....this is a new side of his master, and he wasn't quite sure if he liked what he was seeing...

Terra said and did nothing for several minutes, letting Anubi figgit and react as he may to him staring them down, until he spoke up, his tone respectful but gruff.

"You are strong, Anubi. Very strong. Knowing almost all your Moves, fierce and spirited, and have a great love for battles. But. You are undisciplined, and your eagerness can be more bad than good in fight if not handled right. Need to be trained to use your Strength right. Need to learn how to fight honorably, just, and with cool head. Not recklessly, rashly, or.....disrespectfully."

Pausing for a moment to let what he sank in and to gauge their reaction, before shaking his head and continuing.

"Won't listen to me, though. Not always, and not without.....proving myself to you. So we will fight. I will earn your respect, and you will learn my ways."

He then squares off against the aural doggie, getting into a martial stance as he wait for them to do the same!

Orders: Enjoy his time at the Fountain, take a photo for the scrapbook, and then head back to Cress for The Test of Mettle against Rilou! Time to duke it out, and see if Terra can't impress Anubi with his FIGHTING SPIRIT!!!
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.
