It is now Day 67.

Happy Towel Day, everyone! The Hitmonchan's Guide to Creshire has this to say about Towel Day:

Towel Day is a holiday I invented to celebrate that after-training glow, where you have trained hard and it's time to relax in the shower or a sauna! Get rid of that well-earned sweat.

Towel Day is celebrated on May 25 of every year. So far, it seems like it will take off. It's been three years since it was invented (now several decades in 2017) and people are starting to carry their towels with them everywhere they go! It's a great way to identify other fans of the Hitmonchan's Guide! And a towel is a very useful item....




It's raining again today. Nurse Joy in Cress City has a pink towel slung over her shoulder as you come to the lobby for breakfast, and so does her Chansey.

Heart awake very soon today. He gonna go to Stair City to make some important things: Find a temporary job, get some items since they going to travel soon and finish his battle against Tanuki. But he first get some things done.

He summon Koa and greet the smol dragon. "Good morning Koa! Today you and I gonna go to a special training session. We soon gonna return to Cress City for you to settle things with Cottonnee. With your ability we have work you might have your chance to face that Fairy, but don't let that drop you guard down!" Heart change Koa Razor Claw for the Training Claw. "We gonna work in your Claws today to make them more sharp then before. Claws so sharp that even your dragon moves will hit dragons!"

Together, Heart and Koa go outside to train with his claws but not before he sent the Silk Scarf he have promised to Shiva. He also bring Caesar and Netune the Mudkip for training too. They soon find themselves in the Vapor Falls. "Okay guys. You too gonna train very hard today. In the last Training Netune we have work in your Ground side. Today we gonna work in your Water Side. Today training you gonna train hard in your swim abilities to increase your stamina in the battlefield and to also work in using the water element to increase your own water moves. This rain weather will also help you within that boost. Today lesson is use the weather to your own advantage."

"Caesar. If you want to become a powerful Nidoking, you first must be a strong Nidorino. Our goal is make your Horn be strong as a Drill (since Nidoking is know as the "Drill" Pokemon according to the Pokedex). We gonna also train your poison abilities to you learn summon powerful Poison Jabs. Sheer strength and Poison conection gonna be the training session of today! Let's go guys!"

Mechanics: Training session in the Rain Weather with Netune, Koa and Caesar. Don't forget the effect of training Claw who help Pokemon with Claws like Koa!

All your Pokemon gain 2XP, AND they all get training rolls! They're working hard, with all this talk of gym fights.

Neptune gets 11 Canalize dice +1 dice rain = (3)(5)(2)(6)(2)(1) (3)(3)(3)(5)(5)(5) = 5 bonus XP
Koa gets 11 brawl +1 claw = (4)(2)(1)(4)(6)(2) (3)(2)(6)(6)(5)(6) = 7 bonus XP
Caesar just gets 11 brawl = (4)(4)(6)( 2)(6)(2) (6)(1)(2)(4)(4) = 7 bonus XP, and no loss of points since his Loyalty is now caught up!

This marks a transition, when Caesar now just wants to work hard and learn to be a good battler for Heart and become a Nidoking. He probably doesn't know that a moonstone is the rarest stone!

After the training session, everyone was ready to begin the day! Heart makes some changes in his team: He teach Typhon the move Coil for better STR, Defense and Accuracy, he takes Gustav Amulet Coin and temporaly give to Netune, he changes Koa Training Claw for his Razor Claw for chance to flinch foes, and of course makes a change in his team. The currently pokemon he have in his team is:

Typhon, Netune, Iron, Golett, Koa and Caesar. With the team ready, Heart prepare himself to return to Stair City. Since work takes to much time, he will take money in the way he best know: Battling! With Natu in hands, he came with a new order. "Are you ready Natu? Time to go to Stair City! The place with many buildings and big walls."

Mechanic: 4x4 double battle to be more quick. 600 Pokedollar on the tabble to use. Also, my first choices of pokemon Netune and Caesar. Both of them gonna work a bit in their training and get some XP.

Cool, that will be an easier battle, but with Amulet Coin you'll still get a decent payout.


Here comes a very speedy Wingull and a Xatu. The trainer smiles as she summons her Pokemon. "My birds are the acrobats of the sky!"

Caesar: (6) + 7 = 13
Wingull: (4) + 4 Dex + 4* Survival = 12
Xatu: (4) + 7 = 11
Neptune: (3) + 7 = 10

Tropius lows again, then gets up and brushes forcefully past Nathan, out the door, through the lobby, and outside. She grunts whenever a raindrop falls on her plates, and she seems very grumpy that there's no sunlight.

Well, guess we're still working on that whole trust thing.

Nathan follows to make sure the sauropod doesn't get into any trouble.  There's probably also a few...onlookers now.  It's not every day that you see a huge, rocky Tropius that has a tail, after all.

Upon seeing that Delta? Tropius is grumpy about the lack of sunlight, Nathan has an idea.

Out comes Forthright! (Currently in her Rainy form)

"Ya mind changing the weather for a bit to something less gloomy for our new friend here, Forthright?  I saw you were trying really hard to do that recently.  Try thinking about...warm, happy thoughts.  I think that should help."

Forthright's finally learning Sunny Day for 20 exp!  Let's see if that helps make Delta? Tropius a little bit less grumpy.

It sure does! Tropius's big mouth splits open in a smile as the sun comes out. Castform is pleased too! Tropius streeetches out on Main Street, soaking in the sunlight. She nuzzles Forthright affectionately. 

The people who are very busy just look annoyed and walk around Tropius, but most of the Cress City inhabitants are curious and creative types. And they love Pokemon! So they're gathered around...until Tropius unsheathes her tailblades and thumps her tail a few times. They back away about 20', still forming a mob.

But... I'm in no hurry, how have you been doing since Little Cup? How are your Zigzagoon doing, can I pet one? They're so cute!"ヽ(°〇°)ﾉ "Oh, and I saw your drawing in the Museum and I love it! Have you always been drawing?"

Talking about Mount Sentry stuff is boring, that's seemingly not what Shiva's here for.

"I think they only put up my drawing because I'm the Gym Leader, but yeah I draw all the time! It's a great way to relax from my duties."

"I've been doing well. It's very quiet here. Zigzagoon has found a few good items - lots of trading cards, a little whistle, a seedling in a glass ball. He has good taste. Of course you can pet any of them you like! : 3 They're very friendly. Watch out for the ones who have been practicing Pin Missile, though. They are a little pointy."

One of them gives Shiva an acorn, then goes sniffing around for another item to Pickup.

"Doesn't matter whether it's just there because you're a GYM LEADER," *cue for a big wave of sparkles washing over Shiva's eyes* ", it's still quite a fine piece of art." If being honest, Shiva can even relate to how such a low-key activity distracts one from duties and responsibilties, maybe that's why she even began to dabble in the art of Crafting.

"Very quiet? Oh, does that mean that....you, eh, don't have that many challengers here in Cress? In Unova I sometimes hear one or another Gym Leader complain about too many challengers who are after their Badge, they had to enforce a limit on how many battles they take a day."

Shiva happily strokes through the striped fur of every Zigzagoon within her range, doesn't seem to mind the pointy ones. (´ ε ` )♡ These ones who get very close to her - like that one that gifts her an acorn - even receive a quick friendly hug (and half of a cookie). "You caught them here in town, didn't you? If I may ask that, I mean..." Vaporeon is still out and - if she likes - can play with them or join in searching interesting Items just for fun.

"I try to catch one everywhere I go! Two are from Hoenn, the rest are from Creshire, or bred by me. Many of the ones in Cress City are descended from my Zigzagoon or from the Linoone of my predecessors. Some people consider them pests, but I think they're cute. And they never go for humans or even trainer Pokemon unless provoked. They'd only get thrashed anyway."

Nathan smiles and laughs a little.  Ah, how ironic.  Loves the sunlight, but has Sand Stream as her ability...well, at least she and Forthright seem to be fast friends.

...oh, right.  There's a crowd gathered now...

"Yeah, give her a little space, please.  She's still getting used to being around people."  The fact that Nathan is still keeping his distance as well should also speak volumes.

Nathan then addresses Delta? Tropius again.  "Shall we go find a less populated area, girl?  I know a decent spot we can visit."

That spot being Celebi Park.  Should be a lot quieter there.  The other pokemon that Nathan has on hand currently are Porygon-Z, Pulse, Emolga, and the ever present Gallade.

THAT caught Shiva's interest only more. Wild Zigzagoon with a chance to even descend from one of those that belong to Tanuki personally! She instantly wishes to have one of these herself, but is a bit too shy to outright speak that out. Pickup also feels like quite a useful Ability for journeying, Shiva can always use more collectibles, plants, craft material, whatever lays around the path.

Stroking through the fur of one Zigzagoon while holding it in her arms, she looks down onto the brown and cream furball with disbelief in her eyes - how can one even dare to consider such a harmless cutie a pest? As if to reply to her, that Zigzagoon squeals and Shiva sets it back onto the ground. "I so agree that they're cute... But, I guess people just tend to search for something they can blae and complain about." She shrugs that off, to each their own.

"O.....Oh! Tanuki, speaking about cute Pokemon - What are your rules for a Gym Battle, actually? Are you being busy this morning or.... Or can we have a cool battle for a Badge of yours? I'm, like, having much more adorable Pokemon that weren't allowed in Lil' Cup because they're evolved! If I win, will you also tell me how you made it to become such a good Trainer to even become a Gym Leader as well?"

Tanuki's seemingly around Shiva's age, so that actually quite interests her. She'll need to rearrange her party before the challenge can begin though.

Yena and Raphael are picked up from Nurse Joy, all healed up. With that done and a fresh coffee from the Cafeteria, Shiva looks around in the Lobby, searching for something or someone - Terra's the only one who's present from the look of it.


So, small flashback, @Lord Windos.

She approaches him carefully, gesturing to Vaporeon to please stick by her side and stop giving her that "I WANT TO GO OUTSIDE!"-look, they'll make their way into the rain in a little.

Having arrived at his table, Shiva does gift that man of a mountain a cautious but honest and dear smile. "Well, good morning. Good to see you up already, Terra... Shiranui... Ah, and Riolu! Hello, lil' one!~ Behaving well now that you've been adopted and will journey with a human?" Vaporeon musters that aura-doggie curiously, tries to get a good look on him without getting too close. 'You're blue as well... Are you a Water Type like me?'

Clenching her mug a little harder than usually however, Shiva does bring her attention back to Terra; sporting a somewhat serious expression and overly giving the impression of being nervous. She even looks around once or twice as if being in worry over something. "Terra... May I, eh, take a seat? I, uhm, need to let you know about something, since the others aren't present however I'll contact them via cell or Dex."

She'll also offer checking his Dunsparce Egg with the Egg Checker on her Almanac for gestation process and such, given how he's so accepting she's having no qualms about displaying owning one of these 'PokeDexes'. I guess from the portofoli Terra knows already that she's the daughter of a Professional Breeder and strives to become one herself? If he doesn't, she tells him and lets him know that he can always come to her concerning the caring of Eggs and related things.

Anubi eats some of the oatmeal, enough to get his calories for the morning, then he carefully spreads the rest all over himself and the table.

The Big Hunt

Duskull is very surly and resentful. Whenever he appears before Terra, he thinks it might be Round 2, time for another battle. Terra's Pokemon have to show off their Dark moves right away to keep him in line. It's even a challenge to keep him in line long enough to explain they are going on a hunt.

Since it's illegal to hurt Furret in this part of the region, that's something Terra would instruct his Pokemon not to hunt. Most Furret are too clever to be rounded up using prey-driving tactics, and Duskull doesn't have any moves capable of hurting Furret.

Manectric and Genie take up their positions. Manectric often enters a serious, wolf mode when hunting, a contrast to his marshmallowy personality when in civilization. He does so now. Genie begins laying traps.

Duskull pans his eye around, sensing only little Pokemon souls. He flushes out a scared Rattata, barely enough food for one meal for one Pokemon. He can't even attack this Rattata.

Then he senses something off to the south. He fades halfway, into stealth mode, and points in that direction, asking Terra's permission to go flush it out.

Riolu shakes his head and smiles happily, offering Shiva a sopping handful of oatmeal. If she refuses, he uses it for warpaint. If she accepts, he tosses it to her underhand.

Anubi is the most precious cinnamon roll of a Riolu, and a mischievous one on top of that, awww! She, eh, has to kindly refuse the offered hand of oatmeal with a delighted smile however, but pats him on the head between the ears if he allows to show that she DOES appreciate the gesture. Towel immediately becomes useful as with it, Riolu's warpaint is cleaned off.

Couple of things to note that I forget to do before in my last post:

- Terra is completely confused about all the towels being worn around by people, but just brushes it off and quietly accepts it. Its not like this was the first time he saw something 'wierd' being common place in Cheshire....
- The Rain is a complete non-issue for Terra, as he's used to any and all rough weather conditions! If it starts thundering badly, though, he'll be seeking shelter pretty soon to avoid bein zapped!

Now, onto the post proper!

With Shiva and Anubi!

Terra stared at the mess that Anubi both made of himself and his surrounding with their leftover oatmeal, before letting out a small *Sigh* and getting the blue bomber's attention by tapping on their shoulder, then point at the.....'paint' he got everywhere.

"Don't waste food, Anubi. Never know when next meal is out in wilds. Eat much as you can, and save or share rest. Okay?"

He calmly looks them in the eyes as he said this, before giving them a smile and massive head pat, showing all was forgiven.

"Okay to have fun, though. Just not with food. Hm....maybe dirt or mud?"

The fairy woman's arrival/greetings was meet with a wave and a simply sincere smile.

"Morning Shiva. Always up early, when I can be. *Smiles widens when she introduces herself to Anubi* Meet my new partner, Anubi the Rilou. They are smart, Loyal Fighting dog. Got him at Shelter yesterday, and we are good partners now. *Looks Anubi* Right?"

Said aural jackal puffs up his chest and plants both his fist on his hips. But of course! He might not fully listen to his partner, but that doesn't mean they don't think highly of them, or wouldn't want to fight alongside such a martial man!

When Shiva started acting overtly harried, the simple monk's smile flipped upside down as he quietly stared at her in worry, before solemnly nodding his head and gesturing to a seat near him.

"Sit, and speak. Something bothering you, so I want to hear it."

He also easily hands over his Egg for her to check, as he full well knows she's a accomplished breeder, and therefore trust her implicitly and automatically with his Pokemon AND greatly respects her skill and talent in such an venerable field. He just doesn't say as such, as he read/saw himself she doesn't like to be overly flattered about her myriad talents/skillsets! Not completely thoughtless, now is he!

During the Big Hunt!

As he predicted, Duskull was....less than tractable to the idea of following his lead, but the combine treat of brute force and sheer intimidation from his and his fem fatales got through to them.....somewhat. From their, the Big Hunt went fairly well, if a little on the sedate and meager side. Catching Rattata by the bushel was nice, but hardly a challenge or filling for either him or his partners.

Then, his spooky specter caught his attention, indiciating they spotted something more.....interesting. The rugged wanderer stared at them for just a few seconds, before giving them a sharp nod.


"Go. Chase it out and to us, Duskull."

Order: Social and have a sit down with Shiva, and then give authorization for Duskull to chase out that Mystery Pokémon! Simple!

With her dear and coyly concealed smile to herself Shiva watches the whole interaction between Terra, that mountain of a man, and Anubi, the smol aura dog. She prefers to not comment and possibly interrupt, she kinda enjoys what she sees and upon sensing that fondness between them neatly concealed within the strict rebuke so real that she almost gasps, her smile widens a little and she gives Terra an appreciating nod over hos he handles that Riolu. He seems to be quite a a young and energetic one still, she feels that it'll be a long way until he becomes a calm and steadfast Lucario - doesn't matter, she's shyly curious what will become of that unique pair. "Take good care of him - I'm sure you'll become fast friends" is all she says but she believes what she says.

Vaporeon watches as well while staying behind Shiva though, at one bold moment she comes a little closer though and sniffs at that blue dog.

She thankfully does take the offered seat beside Terra, and is immediately impressed how small she feels when being beside him/how big and wide he was in comparison to her. Hesitantly and not before having emptied half the coffee mug and taken too many looks around, she finally does speak up what bothers her. "So.... Terra, eh... Me and Lilith - Gothitelle - found out about something yesterday evening. In fact, she showed me something in one of her visions, took me to see the display of stars she usually sees with her. What I saw - SCARES ME. It poses a threat for actually our world as we know it, and we... I mean, I feel that we have the means to at least do SOMETHING about it. Can't tell more now, but.... Are you free tonight? Can you come over to my dorm so that we all can decide what to do and where to head to? Please come. If Nathan and Heart aren't here, I'll send them a message asking for them joining."

Dense and/or inept as he is with reading/understanding other people at times, Terra could clearly see that whatever Shiva wanted to discuss with him was highly unnerving. So, he decided to gently rest a hand on her shoulder as a clear gesture of support, and let her speak her mind at her own pace.

He was....fairly surprised by what he heard, his eyebrows both raised to his hairline and a sharp worried frown now etched into his facade. Not only by the fact that Gothitelle was a seer Pokémon like Natu ('World is full of strange, unique Pokémon....'), but that the VERY EARTH ITSELF WAS DOOMED in some fashion? Strange.....and not good at ALL.

Shiva request to speak more about THAT later was meet a unflinching stare.....until he gently squeezed their shoulder and solemnly nodded his head.

"Yes, wise woman. Will come to meeting tonight, hear message from the stars. Promise. When they warn of danger, you listen carefully. If not.....bad things will happen."
