[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
(08-07-2018, 02:50 PM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote: Gym Leader Tanuki vs Shiva Round 2

Shiva couldn't help but to be impressed as dear Tanuki's Spinda practically plowed through her grassy sauropode - she keeps a calm expression and posture (with crossed arms and stuff) all in all though, except for looking more attentive on the panda's antics. She sighs imprecible, it's a looong way until her own Spinda will be that good.

Tropius has landed on the ground after the last hit, he looked weakened and exhausted; his leafy wings hang low and he had a hard time keeping his head up. A bit like a plant that isn't watered for a while - a sight that caused sharp pain within the naturalistic fairy enthusiast. She looks up though upon being adressed, her good cheer not depleted! "Oh, I.... Eh... I AM enjoying it for sure! So much different that Lil' Cup indeed... It's........amazing how well you actually battle!"~

"Alright, Tropius..." *looking back to him* "It's not over yet. Not yet, not as long as you are still standing! Since your Growth failed, channel things a little differently now to restore your health instead before going for your special final move." Invisible for Tanuki, Shiva does cross her fingers, well aware this this was a rather risky choice of actions. But if it pulls of...

------------------------
Accuracy Roll SYNTHSIS 1: 3 Dext + 3 Survival + 3 Nature - 3 Pain - 2 Actions still leaves 4d6!
Effect: Basic Heal unless the light within the Gym is very bright, 5d6 are rolled.
Secondary Effect: Sucker Punch fails, Tropius becomes greener.

Accuracy Roll FINAL ROCK SMASH 2: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 2 Brawl - 3 Actions = 4d6, less depending how much Pain Tropius restores. (Most likely -2)
Damage Roll: 3 Strength + 4 power of the move, no STAB = 7d6 +1 autodamage due to SE.
Additional notes: 5 CD to lower Defense by 1.

Tanuki has swapped out Spinda for a gorgeous Pidgeot! You can tell it was bred for beauty!

Pidgeot: (3) + 8 = 11, same as Spinda.

They don't outnumber you enough to make a difference, but they are on home turf for +1 dice.
Scraggy: (4)(5)(1)(4)(6)(6) (1)(4)(1) = 5 successes.

The Scraggy look at each other, then suddenly move to the side and they all point in the same direction, where there's a forest of thick pine canopy.

(That point in Intimidate DID make a difference! REALLY Glad I got it now!)

Terra's or his Pokémon's fierce expression doesn't soften at the young punks realize what small fish they were and choose discretion over mountain way robbery, but he does give them a nod of his head and pulls out + tosses the leader an Oran Berry for their tip.

"Wise choice. Thank you, and good-bye."

He and his fem fatales then calmly proceed in the direction the Scraggy indicated, using the same formation/scouting tactics as they search for Duskull before they were rudely interrupted. If their search takes them/Genie close to the shadowed spire, they/she will quickly investigate it for the Ghost.

Orders: Bold text explains it all, quite succiently!

After such battle he thanks the battle. "Thank you for the battle. It was awesome and a excelent training for my pokemon. Youre pokemons is pretty quick too. Again, thank you."

After the ending of the battle, Heart access the PC and bring Natu. "I sorry to bother you Natu. Shiva call me to a meeting in Stair City so we need to Teleport to there."

After the teleportation, Heart put three of his pokemons to rest in the Pokemon Center: Koa, Netune and Caesar. And in place he put Patrat, Alphonse the Hypno and Natu. They need some time out of the PC. And then Heart wait for Shiva encounter she have say.

Since Heart know Shiva would might take a while to return, he decided to spend his last encounter to hunt some pokemon to fight. Its not a bad thing and it would be a good chance to put Alphonse in action. He decided to take a look in the close forest of Cress City and see what kind of pokemon he can find.

Gym Leader Tanuki vs Shiva Round 2

"No need to draw this out! We both have more Pokemon to show off!"

Quick Attack 1
12 brawl -3 actions = 9d6
(6)(6)(6)(5)(5)(5)(4)(4)...(6) So close to a Yahtzee or something.
3 Str + 1 STAB + 2 power -4 vit = 2d6
(4)(3) Tropius takes 1 dmg and faints.

"I have a tendency to push my Pokemon harder in battle than is always the best strategy. That's why they're always moving so fast, even when Spinda was already tired! Well, on with the show!"

Good idea on having Genie search the spire first. You had no reason to believe the Scraggy, after all!

*rolls*

Genie doesn't find Duskull, but let's see if she finds anything else of any value.

(4)(6)(4)(2)(1) Just a Hard Stone. One of the most common held items of all, but not useless. She brings it back for you.
She also finds a Geodude who is following you curiously. From Ventus' notes, you recognize this Geodude as one that's been following you.

As you walk into the dark woods, Terra feels the earth suddenly give out from under him! It's so dark here that it's hard to see the ground beneath you.

Dex: (5)(6)

Manectric grabs your robe with his teeth as you fall, and hauls you out of the poorly-hidden pit he almost fell into. Ooo, and there are some small wooden spikes at the bottom too - not enough to do more than annoy someone of Terra's size, but he's heard they are sometimes laced with poisons.

And there's Duskull, slowly creeping up on a very small Nuzleaf with a pink petal in its hair. The Nuzleaf is playing with a doll of bundled leaves. In just a minute they will be out of sight in the near darkness.

As you descend into the much lighter forest on the edge of the savanna, you suddenly find yourself rising into the air! You are bundled up into the branches of a tree by a large purple figure. Twisting yourself around, you find you're in the twin arm-tails of an Ambipom! It carries you up about 25' in the air before you wriggle enough to be able to reach your Pokeballs. Below you is almost a platform of tree branches - you're in one of the bunyan trees which mostly grow in the savanna west of here. It's a bit unusual here where you are, but not unheard of. Anyway, their branches grow so thick it's possible to stand on them with a careful Athletics check.

It looks a little like this:

You don't know anything else about the tree.

When Heart was take with low guard, he was quite scared until he reach some place to be firm for now. He see where he is and was quite impress. "Hoho, not bad. This is indeed some nice place." Then Heart try to find the Ambipom. "Huh, you must be quite eager to fight someone, if you caugh me with low guard like that. I like your style! How about we settle a pokemon battle Ambipom? Someone like you could be a awesome pokemon in my team. And some good training against a certain pyschic pokemon of mine. He is quite a prankster like you." Then Heart summon Alphonse to show him. "I guess we find some new prank friend like you Alphonse."

Just as swiftly as his Dragon Djinni of the Desert returned with a Hard Stone for him, Terra promptly handed it back for her to hold once he recognized what it was. She DOES has Rock Slide for it to power up, to the point it becomes her most powerful Move regardless of STAB! Mikey could also have used it....were it not for the fact he only had eyes for his Toxic Orb.

When Geodude comes/brought up to him (Genie could only have carried them!), the simple monk gives them the best smile he could muster in this situation (His lips barely twitched upwards, but the severe air him does lighten a tad), offers to give them a ride (IE: Picks them up) if they want, and otherwise doesn't mind their presence much.

Nearly falling flat footed to at punji trap does a far better job of snapping him out of his seriousness, a brief look of surprise and panic flooding his expression, just before valiantly Melly rescues him! He blinks a few times as hit lays on the ground taking in what happened, before he, takes a deep breath, stands up and brushes the dirt of his cargo pants, and then turning and to give his Electric Fenrir a very fond and loving head rub with a clear grin on his face.

"Good doggie. You are going to get half a bag of Marshmallows for this, Melly."

Needless to say, she was plain ecstatic with THAT reward!

Celebration (in the form of Terra being overeagerly being tackled and slobbered by Melly) were interrupted when they all sighted Duskull and the child Nuzleaf it was stalking. Everyone entered back into Serious Mode instantly, as the mountain of a man snapped his arm out and pointed at two, his tone almost grim as the Ghost/Dark types before them as he issued his commands.

"Genie, pin Duskull down. Melly, protect the Nuzleaf, or chase them off, then assist Genie. Go."

Order: Genie will zip off to Duskull and attempting to Grapple them 4 times a 'Round' , while Melly will go off to both Alert and guard/drive away the smol Nuzy. If it runs off, Melly will do her part in making sure that the spooky specter can't escape again by cutting of escape rights and dispelling/warping shadows (Via sparking up electricity.) If it looks like Duskull would escape and its within Terra's Pokeball range, he'll simply try to return them. If Geodude wants to help, that is entirely up to it, as Terra won’t order around a Pokemon that isn’t his own. Time to capture the objective, no matter WHAT.
