[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

The little goon rolls over and over on the towel, connecting a bunch of his (?) fur to it. He startles off into the woods, towel still attached with static cling!

Shiva calls out to it, and it runs back...this time, bearing a new towel in addition to the original! Guess Zigzagoon celebrates towel day.

What fruit do you have to share? You sense Zigzagoon is hoping for a specific fruit, but he's going to be pleased no matter what fruit you share.

(Oh, that makes sense then, thanks! It makes the Enigma Berry a little more enigmatic for me if the same berry tastes different for each one taking a bite.)
(Acquirering Roll should also be 9dice due to 6*Insight + now 3 Empathy, but doesn't matter right now, in future rolls it does though. So little will for Ziggy!)
(Humm... Can we make that *Zigzagoon a female exemplar please? ^^ Fits better with an intended nickname.)


With joy Shiva watches the furry-fluffy racoon rolling around on the towel, chuckling a bit over its antics and displaying of 'I'm cute! Look!!'. But just when she was about to dare giving it a stroke, it ran away, causing a sharp pain run though Shiva's sensitive heart. There it goes...

...and there it comes again, filling her heart with relief and delight! <3 She's feeling confident enough to stroke Ziggy a little through the additional towel it brought.

"You're staying? Well, perfect! Let's see, eh... The fruit I meant were these, my Tropius grows them every day. They're freshly plucked, and very sweet in taste! Or how about delicious Nanab Berries? ....Ah, or some fine Gourmet Food, very crunchy and splendid in taste. Or....." A sly grin forms on her expression, "A small slice of the Berry you sniffed out from my hand?~" Mindful as Shiva was, she has indeed saved a tiny slice of the shared Enigma Berry in case a Pokemon appears, it's only enough to serve as an appetizer though.

It's still offered to this Zigzagoon in a hollow hand. Alongside all of today's fruit from Tropius.

Duskull puts a hand under his chin. Hmm...

After a moment's pondering, he holds his arms out in opposite directions, a dramatic pose. Duskull definitely has something in mind, but it's going to take a man of more insight than Terra has to understand these charades. (Maybe a Ghost expert?)

As to be expected, Terra's completely clueless as to what the spooky specter wants in exchange for their jolly cooperation, but he does know this: they're indeed willing to give it (and by extension, him and their other partners) a chance. Its a slight, begrudging one, yet never the less its still a chance, and he's not going to let it go!

...Once he figure out what exactly Duskull wants. Given that the mountain of a man had a hard enough time trying to understand Mikey, a fully bipedal and MUCH more demonstrative Pokémon, deciphering the meaning of the floating blob of ectoplasm would be.....hard. Too hard for him, most likely.

'Hm....what is Duskull saying he wants? To be......bigger? More....respected? …..Ugh.....not sure. Need to think harder. Or find.....someone to help me......understand him.'

It was during this brief bit of brainstorming that he remembered a couple of things. First, something which, at the time, seemed insignificant or only a passing curiosity: Heart had a Golet, which he had later looked up to be a Ground/Ghost type, and a Trevenant, as Grass/Ghost type. While he can't say for the tree spirit relationship with the collector, the smol golem seemed to get along well with them from what he briefly saw of the two together, so maybe...…

'......Heart could help me. Understand Duskull, and give me.....advice to bond with them better? Hm.....yes. Will go ask him later. If he can't help me.....'

...and the second being none other than Chuckles, a individual that had the dubious honor of being one of a few beings capable of legitimately scaring and creeping him the fuck out. His....encounter and battle with the grim Gym Leader was anything but.....pleasant, and it certainly left an impact on him….

'*Internally Shudder*....Will have to go ask them for help. Don't want to....but I will. For Duskull, I will....'

All of this pondering was happened in the span of a couple of minutes, though it probably seemed to be ages longer for the spooky specter, given he was being stared down by three very menacing figures, one of which may or may not be the same Pokémon that KOed it in the first place!

Finally, Terra let out a small sigh, dialing back on his seriousness/Intimidation and regards his ghoulish ghost with a small half smile.

"Thank you, Duskull. For giving me a chance. ...Don't know what you want, though. Have a hard time.....understanding others. But. But I know people who can. Tell me what you want.....and show you how strong partnership can be. One person is named Heart. Has two strong Ghost Pokémon that get along with him. Maybe he could help me get you what you want. *Beat* …Would you like to meet him?"

Hey everyone! Heart here. Just to ask how you guys are doing? Any news to tell? I dont have much to say: I strengh my bonds with Alphonse, my Hypno, and caugh a nice Ambipom. With some nice strong moves. The Silk Scarf gonna be useful later. And teach a new strong Dragon Move for Koa, Dragon Claw!

Also Shiva, I hope you dont mind I have make something to light the mood later Shiva. I prepare some snacks since I suspect its gonna be serious. I make Mind Tea Punch. Good thing to make someone relax and heal the stress. And some Salad Fruits with cream. Nothing to much fancy, just enough to be a light dinner when we meet. If you want join Terra, you should come. There is much food for everyone! Human and Pokemon.

While waiting for everyone else in the lobby, Nathan checks his pokedex over.  Sees the message from Heart.

He's not quite sure what salad fruits with cream are, either.  Maybe it's a Sinnohese thing?

His reply is fairly short, just like with how he replyed to Shiva earlier.

Not much to say that we won't be discussing soon enough.  Probably.  Got a new friend earlier as well, I suppose.  Just describing them wouldn't do them justice though.

Ziggy grabs the Nanab and runs off in the direction of some other picnic areas. She comes back and runs right up Shiva's clothes to perch in her hair. You hear her messily chewing on the Nanab, and little bits of yellow flesh rain down on you. Then, the Zigzagoon drops something into your hands. It's ANOTHER Nanab Berry. 

Zigzagoon definitely wants to tag along with you! She joins the party! You even have a free slot.

He thinks for a moment, and then decides to ask one more question, just out of curiosity.

"If I let you....move with me to meet Heart, will you.....not act badly? Or wander off? Be honest."

Spritzee is very enamored by the scent of the Enigma Berry. She tries to eat it! Of course, Shiva doesn't let her. Spritzee does naturally like the rain's scent.

Chi begins a Lucky Chant, perching over the edge of the table. She squees "Mmmm!!!" as she eats her portion of the berry - a surprise to Shiva, because her third tastes the way a Poochyena smells.

Actually if Spritzee does enjoy the smell of the enigmatic Berry THAT much, Shiva gladly lets her have a slice to snack it, but not the whole Berry. It's probably just as big as tiny Spritzee to begin with!

I don't really get what the sentence I marked in green italic means though, can you rephrase that a little? Or does it simply mean that my Luxi's taste is very selective and sensitive?


Oh, and you roll for the species of Pokemon but not for what is rare about it? Huh, I've believed both will be rolled out from the given detailed mechanics here. But it's fine, a *Zigzagoon appearing was all I asked for!

Nothing happens right away, but as Shiva waits two hours near the picnic table, here comes a wandering Zigzagoon! It zigs over to the BBQ pit, zags over to a dropped sammich under a leaf - both of which disappears into its exceptionally soft-looking fur - then ambles over to the picnic table near Shiva! Oh, it looks so soft, except for the spiky endings to each clump of that luxurious hair. And under its belly, no zigzags at all, just fluff! He's picking up a lot of dew as he goes.

Shiva's definitely content enough to indeed linger at that picnic table for two hours, waiting for anything being lured by the smell of the Berry in excited anticipitation. She's passing the time by casually playing with Chi and Dizzy, stroking through Spritzee's soft pink featherly fluff and browing her Almanac a little (she doesn't dare to start playing Pokemon Tetris however, as she fears to miss something around her if she does) and simply chillaxing after that tirering battle against dear Tanuki. After roughly one hour most of her eager excitement has faded and got replaced with patient calmness, though she keeps an eye open for any Pokemon appearing non-stop.

She notices a new message on her cell as she checks time and weather forecast at some point, this time she's not dissappointed over seeing 'ArcHeart' as the sender as she knows that Ven's busy with his research. This doesn't prevent her from thinking of him though with a mildly wishful smile.

The reply she sends to Heart reads the following.

Nice to hear from you, Heart; and nice that you wer able to spend the day well.

I don't mind snacks at all, and would never say no to a decent tea. Good thinking! Yes, please them to the meeting in my current dorm, as I'm feeling coming together to snack afterwards will be difficult.

Though when that Zigzagoon appeared - ALL attention the empathic fae enthusiast can scratch together gets focused on it. With a radient smile of joy and 'I knew it!' she watches its steps, blatantly failed to hide that squeal of delight that escaped her as the ziggy racoon came into her direction. Eeeee!

"Well, hello furry one!" she greets it as it was within reach, "Or should I say fluffy one?" With utmost care she extends one hand to allow Zigzagoon sniff on it, probably smells like a mixture of Enigma Berry and Pokemon. She's also taking care that none of her currently present Pokemon (just Chi and Spritzee) nor Dizzy nor she herself accidently scare that Zigzagoon away by sudden movements. "You've came just to the right time, I was just about to share some sweet fruit one of my Pokemon grows between us all. You'd like to join us for a snack? You can also dry your...SPLENDIDLY looking fur a little on this towel." *strokes over the one spread out on the picnic table as an improvised tea cloath*

Shiva does not openly or directly show it, but this Zigzagoon interests and fascinates her GREATLY, it's so adorable!! So.... So... She actually didn't know how to describe it, but there's a strong desire within her to stroke that fine fur and get her OT and ID on this particular Zigzagoon, similar like it was in Yena's case. So strong that she is paying extra caution to whatever it does, making sure to not miss a clue on the furry-fluffy Ziggy in order to react/respond accordingly - she gains her 3rd point in Empathy Speciality now for 12xp. One day she'll be just as intimidating and alluring, but for now the sentiments of deeper and more successful interactions come first for her.

And with that said, Terra recalled Shiranui, Lovely (Unless he couldn't fit in the room), summoned/kept out Melly, and then departed from the Training Room and to Shiva's dorm with her and Duskull in toe. Since he knew everyone would be heading there to meet and talk about.....something, and he hadn't had the chance to introduce everyone to the rude reaper, taking them with him to introduce them to Heart and ask for his help seemed to be a great idea! It hit two Pidgies with one Pokeball, and it was simply economic with everyone's time! Smart!

…or at least it was to the rugged wanderer. Time would tell soon if his optimistic plan would go accordingly, or.....not.

Order: Head to the meeting with Duskull and Melly, as its time to get that over and done with! The lightning wolf is remaining by his side as an speedy/Paralyzing safeguard against the spooky specter deciding disregard him again and running off, and/or to disincentive them from causing any sort of ruckus/discord with him or the others. While he would like to trust the ghoulish Ghost not to be a problem and behave itself, it plainly clear that he couldn't at this point, so having the added precaution was a sad necessity.

Plus, she's just good company and small enough to move comforterably around the room, so why not? 

Also, he'll stop by his PC to swap out Genie for his Dunsparse Egg, as he want it with him at all times he can afford!
