They have detected them, Gallade says - but are the more hostile or more wary of them, how high are the chances that they'll attack or ambush them? (Can I do an Insight Roll on that?)

From Gallade's chopping motions, it looks like they are ready to use some moves. But they're wary, not reckless. 

'Things'.... 'Things' obscure the psychic senses. 'Things' can be anything. "Gallade, please tell... That what does obscure your senses, is it one big source, a Pokemon or an object maybe, or is it more like the whole cave itself does so? How safe is it go further? We have to go deeper for catching these Unknown - how deep do you think can we go before we get into trouble or the surroundings become too much to bear?"

Neither - Gallade hops around a bit, indicating multiple sources. 

Nathan knows from Laurelin that the cave is not known to be very deep. It's no Mt. Sentry, but it should be bigger than the secret cavern Calam discovered. Due to the interference, Gallade doesn't know how much risk it would be.

You think it's too light near the entrance for them to pop out right as you go through the door, but once you were inside there are plenty of dark places they could jump from.

Back to gathering Stardust for now, then.  "If that changes and they start approaching, Gallade, let us know."

Lilith nods firmly, with eye contact, when you ask your question. She gestures at the old eroded crater.

Keeping eye contact with her, Shiva takes a step away from that eroded crater. Fear arises within her once again, worry... All that stress doesn't do her any good, but she takes effort to stay calm. It IS a real meteor in the end that is the threat, not a figurative one? "Alright.... Thank you, Lilith. I might... ask you more about that later.... *deep breathing* For now, it's okay. Huh..."

Raphael doesn't care about Ventus' opinions on this matter, and coos like a little one when he gets to hold the insulated Deyo. It doesn't seem to do anything; he just likes it.

Shiva does care and value Ventus' opinion though, and is naturally very torn when handing him the glass containing the Deyo Flower. (Edited as Held Item) "Don't tell him, Raphael... That'll stay our little and personal secret, alright? Every woman has her secrets. Me having given you one of these flowers is now one of them."

Loosing a bit of her tense but staying close to Delphox and Raphael (and naturally Terra, throwing a worried glance of 'You'll protect us as promised, w-will you?' up to him), Shiva gave the psychic knight an appreciating nod for the help and warnings. "Thank you then. Huh, these wild Pokemon being r-ready to attack is...not suprising at the.....second thought, it's...their territory after ......all."

And when it's finally time to move on, that's when Nathan will finally release Ray and reveal him to Heart and Shiva.  Given he's rather rocky for a Bulbasaur (and not the prettiest flower in the field), that oughta certainly be a surprise...(and I'm definitely interested in seeing how Shiva and Heart initially react to him without any further information from Nathan). (Uh, as an outta-chara-thought: Are you sure using Flash is a good idea? Of course it would light the cave the easy way, but I'm fearful that this will also serve to either startle or enrage the inhabiting wild Pokemon, both can easily cause them to attack us. Since they're wary, they might take both paths - the fleeing or the attacking - when suddenly all turns bright. On the other hand, you probably brougth Ray solely for enlighting the cave, so the decision is eventually up to you... Whatever it is, I'll accept it without objection, but please don't say that I haven't given my sentiment on it.)


Shiva's in no hurry, she can wait until everyone is ready to move on. She doesn't want to, fears what may lurk deeper within this ancient cave - the outskirts of this place have already allured fear within the moody fae enthusiast, what secrets and threats may be even DEEPER?

Somewhere in her mind though, the words 'Umbreon', 'loot' and 'you aren't alone' echo back, providing her a bit of needed strength and confidence. A portion of boldness was also among that mixture. The closure to Delphox, Raphael's serene aura, the touch of Tanuki's soft fur, Terra with them and her - it all grounded her, soothed some of her fear.


Then, suprise and wonder strike upon another flash of white light, marking a Pokemon being summoned from its Ball. It startled her a little, and she desperately looked around to find the source - which turned out to be Nathan and a new weird version of a Bulbasaur. She only stared at it for a little, showing no reaction and giving no hint emotionalwise that may show how she's feeling towards this.....rocky version of one of Kanto's Startermon.

Delta Bulbasaur she knows, but only the version from distant DISTANT Torren, where it channels psychic power and fae magic. Cute on it's own - but still a Deltamon, sadly, which kinda deplets her enjoyment for it. This Bulba here though looked more like either a unique Delta or... right, one of these Primal Pokemon like the Southern Wind Incarnate or Primal Eevee that Professor Mallorn once told her about? While she doesn't know much to almost nothing about these, these seem to...have changed naturally, without humans and science having their hands involved or having caused it, which directly causes Shiva, known for a dislike and huge skepticism for these Delta Pokemon, to be actually alright towards Primal Pokemon. Warry, careful, but probably not denying unless there is reason to meet it with distrust.

Not letting go of Delphox's arm, Shiva knees down to gain a better and closer look at that rocky Bulbasaur, keeping her respectful distance but eyeing it with... 'interest' is the wrong word, 'acceptance and very shy curiosity' were better ways to describe her here. "Nathan....", she then raised her voice, "...if I may ask, that's no Delta Pokemon, is it? It looks more like... maybe one of these Primal Pokemon? It looks... strange. But actually quite beautiful..." *very very coy smile into Bulba's direction* "Rock Type, maybe? Is it obediant? Does it have a nickname? Oh, and....why have you released it, how can it help us right now?"

They'll follow you and Terra around for the rest of the adventure, and then they'll allow themselves to be registered accordingly. They don't mind who they're partnered up with.

Delphox lights the wall with his wand.

With Terra's high survival, he determines the best plan - use the little rock hammer/hook pike in the Climber's Kit to scratch a deep line on the wall, then use Rock Smash. This tool is slow but precise. That should safely destroy just that one portion of the wall. And it works! Azumarill frees the TM in a single Smash.

Oh yeah. It's THAT TM. When scanned through the Almanac, it comes up "Dazzling Gleam!"

Since this TM is rarely learned by Level Up, it can be learned by TM by any FAIRY-TYPE Pokemon who can learn it by TM in the games.

Shiva obtains a tiny scoop of Stardust, enough to fill a vial and look interesting, but not enough to sell.



As Nathan is working on scooping up a sellable quantity of Stardust, Gallade warns that Pokemon inside the cave have detected the party. He also seems concerned that there are things obscuring his psychic senses (this requires Shiva's help to interpret.)

Terra lets out a satisfied grunt and nodded as the TM was successfully freed from the wall undamaged, happy that his simple plan went off without a hitch. Though he's doest often mine/extract stuff from the earth, nor is he really a plan maker, he is able to intuithow to put his Strengths and excellent Skill to good use in order to accomplish a given task optimally. He's book dumb in most thing, but he's wise and experienced in the few fields/talents he's specialized in !

The rugged wanderer didn't quite understand the empathetic paladin's warning (though he was sure to pay attention) at first, until both Shiva and Nathan started to elaborate on it, at which point he understood all too well, his expression hardeing as quietly listened to the entire exchange(s). Once it was clear that the Pokémon in Ambush weren't going to budge until the group started to properly spelunk instead of loitering at the cave entrance, he turned toward Melly (who's been standing Alert by his side soon after noticing his change in mood) and crouched down, whispering commands into her.

"Melly, go on ahead, and....lure Pokémon out with Howl. Then, use Discharge to Faint or chase them off. Take care of Ambush, or scare it off. Understand?"

(If she goes on ahead, I'd request the group hangs back while she pulls off the gambit, as Discharge is an AoE move, and the more Distance between the group and her, the better for their HP)

Accepting the fred TM from Azu and praising her for a job well done via fond pets and strokes, Shiva's rather pleased that the pinkish disk is indeed coding what she expected (hoped?) it to code, it's securely packed way into her belongings. <3 Her fairies will rejoice! Terra, in the heat of the moment, earns a kind hug for the help on freeing the disk from the wall. "Good observation you did there... Thank you! From the look of it, only Fairy Types can learn the move though. So, ehm, I..... Is it okay if I'm keeping the TM then to teach it for any of my elusive and faelike companions?"

At the fae lady's request to keep the freed TM she had already rather hastily/some might say rudely rushed to pack away,(I assume only she knows its Dazzling Gleam, since if she pulled out the Alma. openingly, Nathan would have seen it and started asking questions...) , the mountain of the man mulled it over while she was still hugging him - which he jumped a bit when that happened, before awkwardly returning it, like he didn't have much experience doing it - , before nodding.

"Okay. Don't have use for it, if its a Fairy TM. Keep it. *Beat* …You are welcome too, my friend. ...Thank you for the hug."

Terra returned her anxious stare with a calm, comforting eyes as he nodded, clasping her shoulder as he did so. So long as they stick together, nothing bad would be happening to Shiva without having to go through/around him first.

He's also quick to voice his agreement with her words, as he and his Pokémon are ready to get started hunting for Unown.

"Yes. Let us do so, when we are ready. *Beat, then addresses everyone* Could you let Melly…...go forward and look for danger first, though? She is good at finding trouble Pokémon, and chasing them away. *Shrugs* Or Fainting them. They are not problems, after she is done."

When P.Bubla is released and Shiva reacted.....interestingly towards it, Terra tensed up for a bit as he eyed it and then Nathan concernidly for a moment, before letting out a quiet breath of relief as she took a liking to him instead of....not. After their conversation on Deltas during there battle, and his chat with Nathan night(s) prior), it was abundantly clear to him that the Fairy woman had no lost long at all for Delta and/or anomalous Pokémon unless otherwise specified by her. He was worried they'd end up.....disliking them to, like a certain doggie, but was immensely relieved (though he didn't show it easily) that wouldn't be the case here. Good, very good indeed!

"Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa.  Whoa.  Hold on for a moment there, Terra.  Let me finish collecting this Stardust first.  And...I have an idea to keep those wild pokemon from getting the drop on us, so maybe wait for a moment before trying that."

(Before moving on, I'd like to see how much Stardust there is, basically.)
