"A, C, T, G, and U! That's what I half-expected. Of course, I didn't want to bias the experiment by hinting to you there would likely be only certain letters...did you see any other Unown while you were there?"
"Some of my interns will think this is an astonishing coincidence. But I can tell you, it is no coincidence! I think the causality goes the other way. Pokemon influence on the language of Common is very, very high, and I think this is yet another example of that. And I don't think it's coincidence that only the letters standing for the building blocks of DNA - adenine, cytosine, guanine, thymine, and sometimes uracil - were present in Ancestor Cave. I think early comets brought these Pokemon to our world, and somehow they came to make up all life! A lot of conjecture, yes. But think of the studies it suggests!!"
"Somehow, Unown are responsible for the reality of biology. I'm sure of it!"
"Before we engaged them, the whole alphabet was in the cave. After we engaged them, the swarm seemed to only be comprised of these 5 letters. Mostly A, C, T, and G. Not sure how that happened, but Unown are strange...speaking of that and the whole reality of bioligy thing, I'm assuming you didn't know what their collective HIDDEN POWER would do?"

(Actually, you never saw any LIVING Unown of other letters. Only inscriptions.)
"What did their Hidden Power do? I've heard of them being able to unleash strong psychic attacks when together, which is why I insisted on someone with four badges."

(Ah, okay. Well, then Nathan would have said something along those lines.)
"...it temporarily brought the artwork in the cave to life. The pokemon they summoned turned into dust and sand when they were KOed. The murals also returned to the wall after the summoned pokemon were KOed. However...I'd heavily advise against engaging those Unown in Ancestor Cave because of one mural in particular: the Ancestor of all Pokemon, Mew. I don't think it was the real thing since it came from one of the murals and was...very, very aggressive, but...it was definitely still just as strong. And Mew's power seemed to be at the heart of the cave's mystery. We had to run as soon as it appeared. Got all the Unown before then, and the pokemon summoned from the murals seem to be unable to leave the general vicinity of the cave. Don't know how long their collective HIDDEN POWER's effects last, though."

She kind of ignores the danger and focuses on the discovery.
"You saw a Mew, brought to life by Unown? Well, that sure seems like strong evidence that Unown contain a blueprint for Pokemon life! They can build, as if they are RNA itself! That's really cool. If you give me those five Unown for research I'd be absolutely happy to revive a Pokemon fossil for you. I'm very pleased with what you've learned!"
She'll also give you the quest reward, of course!

For anyone that enters the Pokémon Center after the task for the good professor is complete, they'll find Terra sitting at a table in the lobby, his Egg in his lap and tossing what appeared to be.....blue stones of some kind in one hand, with Melly resting at his feet munching on a plate of charred marshmallows. Gallade should also be nearby, with his own plate of the gooey and toasted white treats (if they want). He seemed mostly intent on studying/playing with the blue stones, but he made sure to give his dynamic doggie a rubbing every once in awhile

"...and a Tyrantrum, a Ditto, an Aerodactyl, this really weird looking pink Eevee that looked like it had elements of Jolteon, Flareon, and Espeon simultaneously...all murals in the cave brought to life by the Unown in self-defense. None of them catchable, presumably, and all extra aggressive. Again, I really don't recommend making the Unown in Ancestor Cave angry. The potential Mew alone is dangerous enough. It almost lethally harmed two of us with powerful Psychic attacks."
Just gonna stress how extra dangerous that was again for good measure. Then Nathan will hand Laurelin the 5 Unown in exchange for the 5 Great Balls and reviving the Claw Fossil.

"Unown sure are mysterious and powerful! I'll make sure future researchers know not to mess with them."
And soon enough, Anorith is revived from the fossil!
Gotcha! Anorith was caught!
He's like a baby Pokemon, and his obedience is 2/3/1.
Unlike Tropius, he'll be ready to walk around after just an hour.

(So that means he's got only Harden, Scratch, and Battle Armor to start with...well, guess it's to be expected after Laurelin's comments about Rampardos and the Cranidos nest...)
And into a standard pokeball Anorith goes! *click*
Nathan hands 1 of the Great Balls to Shiva. He doesn't say anything about it, he just does. He's said his piece to Laurelin, so he waits for Shiva to ask Laurelin her questions.
----------------------------------
Fast forwarding a little, since Nathan's at the museum, he wants to take a look at the very last exhibit we haven't seen yet: The League exhibit.
-----------------------------
And then fast forwarding again to when Nathan returns to the Center... (not sure if Shiva's with him or not. That's up to Phantom)
Nathan had killed an hour at the museum, knowing it'd take Terra that long to reach Ancestor Cave. So after that hour has passed, he heads back to the Center, definitely expecting Terra and Gallade to be there. He thinks he would have felt if something had gone wrong if it had involved Gallade...
...and yup, sure enough, there's Terra.
Huh. Those gemstones look pretty. And Melly's roasting her marshmallows now too? Hmmm...
Nathan walks up to the table, no hesitation, lots of curiosity. "So, I take it everything went well?"

Frankly, Shiva's mildly intimidated by the good Professor yelling like that at the interns, and immediately asks herself whether it was a good idea to join in visiting her as she visibly grows meek and uncomfortable. As someone who has developed rather well empathic senses she feels the negativity strongly and tends to take it to her heart, where it threatens to give her physical nausea.
Thankfully though, it didn't, and she makes it to greet Prof.Laurelin herself in a weak voice as now she knows that it's quite a BAD idea to anger her in any way. While Nathan talks with her, Shiva chooses to remain silent and only listen to what is discussed, throwing glances to the Eevee Family every now and then to make sure that they're doing fine.
However, she perks up when the good professor mentions what the letters of the Unown she requested stand for, dares to smile shyly but knowingly to herself even. Respectfully though, she waits until she gets her chance to talk, and starts with the following:
"Oh, y-yes, watching the stream of Unown for a little, I eventually noticed as well that they're standing for the four known base pairs present in DNA, with Uracile as the small aberration as it's only present in RNA! It's...kinda fascinating. There even was evidence of a meteorite impact at the entrance of the cave. It's all making sense, how the Cave is named, the murals, Mew...." Shiva seems kinda excited by all of that and getting the chance to voice it, but she becomes a little uncomfortable again when mentioning precious Mew.
She continues. "What, well, mostly caught my eye though, was that mural - or the stone puzzle of it - depicting this strange Eevee. It's definitely an Eevee - but if looking at it, it seems to have traits of... of Espeon mostly, with some hints to Jolteon and Flareon." She shows Prof.Laurelin the page in her journal where she noted things about it, including the drawing of it she made. "Very weird... I'm, uhm, having reason to believe it's sharing some silimilarity with Mew, the mural aimed to show that. That makes me wonder... Professor, have you ever heard of such a thing? Is it... I, mean how can I integrate genetics into the Breeding of Pokemon?"
"Ah, speaking of it... I caught an Unown U that's shiny. I know thanks to my Dad that these sport a curiosity in their gene pool... Would you be interested in taking it as well, Professor?" Shiva doesn't tell, but she would expect something in return to that Unown, preferably something that'd be useful for her. Shiny is shiny, after all!
