Creshire Museum Exhibits: The League Wing

This focuses mainly on the history of the League, in the time after Sarimanok. It talks about how the Shieldmaidens were formed, in response to roving bands of violent, displaced Empire folk.
It talks about the Elite Four being those who prove themselves through training and extra special Pokemon (seems like they will have lots of Surprises).
It talks about the first Champion, Stavos, who invented secret training techniques, gathered many of the HMs, explored the Skull Ruins, and was touched by Legendaries. He even uncovered the secret location of Victini. Stavos displayed an incredible will to win and conquer, which was said to grow stronger with each dungeon he delved into.

Stavos didn't hold office until the League was already firmly established; before him, the highest office was more political/bureaucratic. Now, no one can outrank the Champion.

The Professor gets along well with your Eevee. They make funny faces at each other around the doorway while Laurelin is talking.

She seems very interested.
"The Breeding of Pokemon is all about genetics at heart. Every move, every ability, every level of strength and toughness, even personality: it's all to do with genetics. Some things are simple, like the likelihood of an ability passing down. Others are more complex, like mutations - Eevee is especially prone to mutations. Mew's genome, probably, contains every possible trait a Pokemon can have - arrange them into certain stable orders and you get a Pokemon. Only stable genomes ever make it into Egg form (or Revived form, in the case of fossils). It's possible to use complex math to determine some of these stable combinations, or simply to let Nature sort it out. Destiny Knots can influence these combinations. So those are all things you might study or learn: biomathematics, parental trait contribution, Destiny Knot influence on trait selection."

"Yes, indeed! \(^v^)/ Dad thaught me a little about genetics, explained to me that it's closely linked to the field of Pokemon Breeding, almost essential if you want to become a professional. Eevee is something special in this topic for its instable gene pool..." She casts a glance to the young fox when saying that, watches him for a little with a light smile on her face. "I... always wondered how its gene pool could be stabilized, aside from evolving it."

Excitement arises when a reference letter to Telperion is offered, she doesn't need to think twice about that offer. "Yesyesyes, I.... "It should be possible to detect recessive mutations with some rather expensive tests. Maybe administering those can be part of your learning. I am specialized in paleontology, biology, a little geology and history. Evolution. I also know a little about cosmology, but that's mostly amateurish so I don't really recommend asking me anything too intense about that. Here's my phone number! Call me anytime."

'Rather expensive tests'... Well, it's true that Shiva has saved up lots of cash for situations like that, but at the same time she's having that Delta Incense that'll arrive with the other goods she ordered tomorrow. It is said to preserve already existing curiosities in the parent's gene pool, and she feels like...like it'd be worth trying to see whether some spontaneous mutations can be discovered by hatching a few of the evolution foxes, the reference sheet feels like her personal key to be accepted at Telperion. What a lovely realization after all the stress at the Cave today!~ 

With open hands and a thankful smile Shiva does accept the good professor's number and hands her her own in return, before that Shiny Unown U gets traded to her in an instant. "Have fun with it, happy researching it! I'll certainly call you when I'm having time. And questions. Or need your insight on things, probably about biology and evolution... At best when all these three chances come together! When I'm almost through with journeying the region or can spare the time during it I'd rejoice to administrate these tests to find recessive mutation in some selected exemplars of my Pokemon, yes - thank you for the offer. It's good to make business with you... Until next time then!" With that said and some waves given, the fae enthusiast collects the family of Eevees and carefully guides them away from Prof.Laurelin's workshield again.

The Great Ball is also accepted from Nathan with some honest thanks, but when asked whether she wishes to stick along on visiting the League Wing, she kindly denies after thinking about it for a moment. "No, thanks... I guess I've seen all the wings of the Museum that interest me already. But thanks for the offer! We'll see one another sometime later then. Have a good time!" Off she is, outside to the fresh air.


If Umbreon, Dittumbreon and Eevee are up for it, they all can roam in the town a bit longer together, as Shiva's feeling like showing them Cress City a little to pass some time before returning to the Center again. Raphael and Cottonee can come outside of their Balls and accompany them all, all together they visit the Violet Tent - "That's my favorite place here in town! Lots of exciting things, goods and smells there.", she'd explain them - , Celebi Park, and if they make it even the pagoda of the Kimono Girls to watch the Evening Tea Ceremony together. Whatever's up to the ally of the small family! (This all shouldn't take an Encounter Slot, it's some casual strolling through town. Hopefully this will enable them to learn a bit about civilisation and get used to Shiva's presence a little or form a positive image of her for them.)

For anyone that enters the Pokémon Center after the task for the good professor is complete, they'll find Terra sitting at a table in the lobby, his Egg in his lap and tossing what appeared to be.....blue stones of some kind in one hand, with Melly resting at his feet munching on a plate of charred marshmallows. Gallade should also be nearby, with his own plate of the gooey and toasted white treats (if they want). He seemed mostly intent on studying/playing with the blue stones, but he made sure to give his dynamic doggie a rubbing every once in awhile.

Eventually though Shiva became a little tired from that, and with the offer of some shared dinner she guides them all back into the direction of the Pokemon Center.  She was just about to ask them whether they'd like to wait at a table with Raphael and Cottone while she heads to the Cafeteria, when the latter has spotted something Shiva has accidently missed as she's been concentrated on her Pokemon: It was nonelse but Terra, lurking there with the others nearby. What REALLY and ACTUALLY caught the vivid wad of cotton though, were not the blue gemstones or the electric wolf with him, but the unmistakable smell of the very same white fluff treats that man has given her upon first meeting. Awwwwww!

Naturally the fairy fluffball makes a heartfelt leap from Shiva's side to the mountain of a man then, landing directly by his side to give him a jolly and playful chirp as a greeting and a look that seemed to ask whether she can have some sugary white treats as well. Please!~

A few seconds later, eventually having noticed how her most dear Pokemon has decided to find her own dinner instead of waiting, Shiva comes to the table where everyone has seemed to gather for some reason. She gives everyone a friendly greeting, including Melly and Gallade, and doesn't fail to drop a kind smile on the young Pokemon growing within the Egg Terra's keeping. Seeing it safely in an Incubator would be more up to her taste, but given the naturalistinc and wandering lifestyle Terra has briefed her about, she feels like he knows what he's doing. Or...she HOPES so.

She seems rather relieved that both Heart and Terra has recovered from the wounds the revived MuralMew has inflicted on them, expresses her delight over that carefully. "It's good to see that you are up and about again... And that quickly even! Is...uhm, everything fine, no aftermaths or such?"

Heart smile and wave his hand to Shiva. "Aw dont worry about it. I get worse with Rose session training. A psychic attack its not something that bad as received a Punch in the face during spar training. Dont ask me heh." Heart then make a weak pain face. "Although, I indeed receive a good bunch of damage in that encounter. But the nurse release me since I was already okay, but she say to not force to much my body. Since I have Gym battle later."

And then fast forwarding again to when Nathan returns to the Center... (not sure if Shiva's with him or not.  That's up to Phantom)

Nathan had killed an hour at the museum, knowing it'd take Terra that long to reach Ancestor Cave.  So after that hour has passed, he heads back to the Center, definitely expecting Terra and Gallade to be there.  He thinks he would have felt if something had gone wrong if it had involved Gallade...

...and yup, sure enough, there's Terra.

Huh.  Those gemstones look pretty.  And Melly's roasting her marshmallows now too?  Hmmm...

Nathan walks up to the table, no hesitation, lots of curiosity.  "So, I take it everything went well?"

…Until Cottonee made neatly interrupted him by their expediate arrival and subsequent cheery welcome and entreat for some toasty marshmallows. The rugged wanderer was hardly perturbed by that, however, as he chuckled at the fae plant's antics and nodded back to them, before reaching into his pocket, pulling out three marshmallows and.....a long metal skewer?

Questions around the inclusion of the cooking implement were swiftly dispel when he stuck all three of the white treats on it (with even space between them all), then lowered it towards Melly and quietly grunted. This caused her to stop feasting on her pile of sweet melted fluff to look up at him, the presented marshmallows, putting two and two together, and then happily *Bark-fwoosh!*, letting out a small gout of flame that toasted the marshmallows to perfection! He gave her a head caress for a her services - to which she pleasantly rumbled out before she returned to her own 'meal' - then deftly plucked off the caramelized candies and placed them in front of the Fluffball Fairy with a smile.

"Here. Enjoy, Cottenee."

Afterwards, he turned to address the group as a whole, nodding at them all before he answered their respective inquires.

"Yes. Trip went very well. Tiny Pink Mew....was not there, in or out of cave *Sighs in relief*.  Was able to get partners back safely too. Tommy was fine, but Lovely was.....anxious to see me. *Frowns* ….Had to calm him down....tell him everything was okay. *Smiles again* Took time to teach him Hidden Power too. Had him.....test it to see what it did."

Pausing for a moment, Terra extended his hand containing the raw lapis lazuli(s) to the group and revealed them for closer inspection.

"Quickly shot out these blue stones, so I think its a Rock type Move. Not sure if they have value, but they are pretty (Cue Shiva/Nathan pipping up about Crafting them!)."

He closes his hands and brings it back to the table after everyone got a nice look at the goods, and continued where he left off without missing a beat.

"After that, had Gallade take me back here. Decided to wait until you two *Points to both Nathan and Shiva*, before doing other stuff."

Saying that, he reached down to his belt and pulled off Gallade's worn Premier Ball, and handed back to their partner with a nod.

"Did not need Gallade's help....but it was nice to have. Thank you, my friend"

The simple monk then faced Shiva, and gave them a soft, kind smile.

"Thank you too, Shiva. Your letter....made me feel good. Special.....cared for. *Nods* Will do best to.....be the man you think I am. Not easy to do.....but I will try. Promise."

*Pauses, then speaks to her in a questioning tone*

"Want to go forage Berries and plants with me later? Today? *Pauses* Can take Genie with us too, if you want.  (She) Would be happy to have playdate with you anytime. Not that friendly everyone normally, but she is.....eager to get to know you better. *Frowns thoughtfully, while stroking his beard* …Not sure if that is good thing or not. *Shrugs* …But she will behave with you. ...Or not cause too much trouble. ...I hope. Hm..... we will see later *Nods*"

Terra didn't have much to say to Heart, but their own comments towards Shiva caused his eyebrows to shoot straight up as he scanned their form for ANY lingering Damage, before his stare hopped over to Nathan, looking at the boy both questioningly and.....mildly peeved. The collector's being blasted by MEW was something that they had failed to mention to him during their earlier conversation, and now he more irritated than ever about their choice in teleporting him away. Had they left him and ran, Heart wouldn't had been so severely injured, so that meant his sacrifice would have been a completely VALID choice on his part, if the boy hadn't interfered.

Of course, that small revelation didn't make him suddenly disregard what they taught him, but it had left him more annoyed than ever at them. Fortunately, such 'animosity' will be cleared by the end of day, but he won't soon forget about this...

Orders: Terra gives an info dump to everyone, and re-extends the offer to take Shiva Berry Hunting with him, along with her meeting with Genie in depth for their 'playdate'! For now, that's it!

"Huh.  Did Melly just use Flamethrower?  Cool."  Gallade chuckles and makes a so-so gesture with his hand to Nathan.  "No?  It's not Flamethrower?  But it looks exactly like...oooohhhh, wait a second...Hidden Power, isn't it?  That's even cooler."

When shown the gemstones, Nathan eyeballs them for a moment...

"...well, if Lapis Lazuli's Hidden Power is anything like Pay Day, you probably could sell them if you gather enough...small gemstones are good for making jewelry and stuff, too."  Nathan's necklace clinks quietly as he talks.

He swiftly pockets the Dull Premier Ball once it's handed to him.  "Glad he didn't have to push any panic buttons.  Also good to know the Unowns' collective HIDDEN POWER seems to last less than 2 hours...don't have to worry too much about anyone stumbling on an angry Legendary unexpectedly..."

...and when he stops thinking to himself, that's when he notices Terra looking Heart up and down, and then staring at him.

"...what?  I know basic first aid.  Administered it at the soonest opportunity, before any lasting damage was done, then took him straight to a professional.  Besides, you had more pressing things to worry about at the time.  Didn't want to worry you unnecessarily."
