$3600 to put both Vibrava and D-Hippopotas in the Obedience Camp for 2 days, right?

"You can just send them back to my PC boxes when you're done. I'll probably be on the way to Teazel Valley by then, if not there already. I don't think Hippopotas should cause any major problems since she hasn't evolved yet...better to be safe now than sorry later though, right?"
Another thing ticked off the list! Next task: will taking the two Beldum to the magnetic cavern in Mt. Sentry to fuse/evolve them into a Metang? That's the next thing Nathan is doing either way, but it'd be good to know if he'll still have an encounter left afterwards.

Any thoughts in that direction were quickly swept away when he got slightly embarassed? and confused for some reason again, causing Shiva to give him a curious look from the side as soon as he thanked her for her allowance to be called a wise woman. "*hand gesture of 'It's no big deal'* It's fine, really!"
Mental Note: Maybe try to not use too many foreign words when speaking with Terra.
Noted.
She let him finish speaking before raising her own voice, let him accidently dwell in that confusion for a little as she thought about what he shared in peaceful silence, now mustering the surroundings again instead of facing Terra. Cottonee chirping and playfully messing up a few strands of her Master's hair brought her eventually back to the current planet when the silence grew too awkward, emphasizing her antics with a satisfied expression of 'Sucessfully prevented Master from drifting away in her thoughts!' "Oh... Eh, that Ven would call me 'special' is no wonder I guess, don't think about it too much! ^^; But I, well... I guess it's not too false to say that I tend to get along well with the things he fears, hold some mentionable interest in these....things." *mildly shrugs* "We still grew pretty close with time." That's all she says concerning that topic. Enough said!
"Ah... An archetype is nothing more than some sort of 'role model', a 'pattern' that tends to be reused to arise certain feelings and exceptations towards something."
When Terra was very graphically mulling over the counter-arguments/offers she brought up for the tiny blue gemstones from his Milotic, Shiva did a fine job to keep that mercantile posture and no-nonsense expression up, beginning to enjoy this playing along with him. Due to that, she ALMOST ended up flinching when he suddenly nodded and offered his huge hand to shake for the deal! That was the moment she couldn't prevent herself from breaking the facade she held up, with a shared handshake the deal was made! "M-my pleasure to do business with ya!" Chuckles emphasized these words. :>
Now that this has been literally and figuratively dealt with, Shiva does feel fine to relax a little, eventually to follow up with what she wanted to say before he stopped mid-way to display his skill in commerce, refering to the following:
(…)
She mostly listened only, naturally understood why he prefers to get his Pokemon Partners the way he does. Selling and trading caught ones is nothing wrong at all either, she has done a few times as well, so no hard feelings in that direction! His obvious determination on earning the trust and loyalty of the aura dog and that... Huh, what? She had no idea that he owned a Duskull, must be newly caught somewhere. Cool, but at the same time it brought her a bit of a cold shiver due to reminding on the ominous chill in Chuckle's Gym. Ugh... Now though, the displayed eager to make them proper friends and partners earned him a praising smile from the fae enthusiast alongside a playful punch in the side. "No doubt in you making it eventually, even with Ghost Types being naturally a bit harder to train if one believes what people tell. Speaking about that... You actually having a favorite or prefered Pokemon Type? ...Fighting, maybe?"
(Thanks for the Rolls, Iron! I'll try to make something out of them in a seperate post.)
He couldn't help but look a tiny bit relieved when she waved off any lingering issues between them, smiling slightly before they both moved on to the next topic of discussion. All was now well for the two....for now!
Later on, Shiva affirming both his own and her boyfriend's opinion on her 'uniqueness' did much to clear away his uncertainly, causing him to cross his arms and nod along after she finished.
"Hm....okay. Weird that Ven and you....love each other.....*Smiles* but not a bad thing. At all. Think you....complete each other. He gives you Strength and......confidence, and you give him care and.....understanding. *Nods* Both of you support each other, and become better people together than alone. *Beat, then Shrugs* That is what I believe. May be wrong.....but I do not think so."
Yeap, Terra ships Shiva and his boss, and fairly hard at that! Who'd have thunk that.....
The fae woman's subsequent explanation on archetypes didn't seem to help much in the simple monk's understanding of the term; in fact, he'd seemed more uncertain about it than before!
"....Okay? *Shakes head* Still....not sure about it, though. How can something be a role model, and a pattern, at same time? How and why do they.....change way people think and feel about things? *Shakes head again* Very confusing.... Sorry for not....understanding, Shiva...."
Fortunately, the sealing of their trade agreement managed to dispel any negative feelings within the rugged wanderer as he lightly smile and took his mystical charge's hand gently into his, and gave her a firm (but not crushing) handshake.
"You, too. Thank you, my friend."
(…)
Terra was briefly confused as to what the fae layd was referring to initially, but in rare form he quickly caught and firmly nodded his head, his expression turning resolute once more.
"Yes. Will not give up on my partners, and will work hard so we can be true partners together someday...."
Her question about his favorite type earned her a curious tilt of his head.....before shrugging it off almost indifferently.
"Don't know. Never thought about it, really. Hm.....I like Pokémon that are strong, tough, or smart, though. Also like if they have a.....strong personality, and own......motivations too. Is that the right word (Motivations)? "
(09-08-2018, 12:10 PM)PhantomUnderYourDesk Wrote: My my, from the look of it Genie wasn't only notably playful and more mischivous than the standard Flygon described by science, but also overy confident about herself! One more reason the dragon that Terra raised here deserves to be called 'special' in a very particular way. Oh yes, this only means more potential for a highly unusual yet low-key friendship between Shiva and that dragoness she held hands/claws at the moment. Many unspoken words seemed to be exchanged as she only SMILED at Genie. Terra earned one as well even for short, subtly Shiva seemed to say 'Thank you for introducing us towards each other!' that way. She'd have to think of a fitting reward for him even if things between these tow females here develop into a fine way - or maybe something to 'make up' and 'cherish' all the effort he'd put into making sure that things won't go off hand?
One way or the other, more chuckles came when Cottonee was placed back onto her Master's (Shiva's) head instead when she tried to place herself on Genie's, while Cottonee herself responded to this with a pouting expression before it turned into what looked like her trying to use Baby-Doll Eyes at Genie. One moment later though, she closed her eyes again and literally nestled into her Master's hair with too much commitement as if to show that dragon that it's way more comfortable here with Shiva ANYWAY. All in a playful way though, she seems to be rather unafraid of that Dragon here as well.
Genie's devilish agreement to a game of Hide and Seek was met by Shiva and her fairies with them perking up and gifting her a smile that was, in a mild and coy way, almost JUST AS fiendish. Let the fun begin then!~
Round 1
Genie seemed eager to show the human fae being how decent she is at concealing herself at first, so while Shiva, Cottonee and Raphael did their best conceal their eye- and earsight, the dragoness found a some hide *insert description of it by Windos here if wanted* and patiently waited. A few anticipitated minutes later though Shiva came closer to that chosen hide, waited a few moment in complete silence....
...before in a sudden movement, Raphael and Cottonee sparkle some (non-damaging) fairy dust over Genie's big being! Shiva herself was the first one start laughing playfully at that. "Found! That was quite a decent spot to hide though, indeed. Now...!", she raised her voice them with some audible dramaturgy chiming between the lines, "You lost this Round, and therefor you.... Ah, you have to show me which of your moves you like LEAST to use against foes."
Round 2
(…)
The mildly foul smell of the Berries seemed not to fool Genie's sense of smell though, as rather quickly Shiva could at first feel the dragoness coming closer, before a long shadow loomed over the bush - pressing Raphael closer to herself though, Shiva just waited. A moment later, successful cackling could be heard as Genie's upside-down head appeared right in Shiva's view, non-verbally screaming 'Found you! Now who's the better hunter, huh?'
Shiva soon joined in laughing coyly as Raphael darted into the air from the hiding spot and Cottonee almost had some effort to free herself from the branches of the Berry Bush. Guess now it was Genie's/Terra's turn to choose a task or a question for the 'Truth or Dare'-penalization for the looser! *Genie Time!*
The Desert Dragonfly seemed to be able to detect Shiva's fascination of her unique qualities and the abundance of confidence she possessed, and decided to preen even harder and be more dazzlingly showboating than before! Well, why shouldn't she be full of gusto? With Terra as her trusty partner, and her mind full of devilish guile and cunning, almost NOTHING in the world could take them on and walk away as the better off one! And now with Shiva by her side helping to plot her devious scheme.....te he he he he~!
For his part, Terra just rolled his eyes at Genie's antics, inured and used to them as he was. The Fairy Trainer's smile was meet with a squinty eye suspicious stare from the man, as he was still on edge from the BLATENT FAE FIENDISHNESS displayed between her and his mischievous dragoness, until finally he let out a small *sigh* and smile back, this one looking a bit strained but no less genuine. Despite the trouble those two will no doubt get into or come up with, he can't really stay despairing/paranoid at them. Not yet, at least!
Cottonee's BDEs treatment proved to be ineffective against the Dragon Djinni of the Desert, as she just countered with a most beneficent and angelic 'I know what's best for you' smile. You can't charm the heart of a fellow trickster, you delicate white ball of fluff!
*Time Skip: Shiva's Turn at Hide and Seek!*
The 'Fairy' Princess chosen hiding spot was rather simple, bold, just ingenious: she simply silently hovered straight into the sky, roughly above a tall enough tree! Hardly any terrestrial being ever looks up unless given good reason, and its so obvious of a choice that neither Cottenee nor Raphael SHOULD think to look there! It was just perfect, really!
Unfortunately for her, the Fairy Trainer and her cohorts still managed to sniff her out, causing her puff up her checks and glare at the trio briefly, then let rolled her eyes and let out a faux long suffering *Drrrrzzzzt…..* in defeat. Oh fine, you caught her, so a deal's a deal. Next time on her turn, though...they won't be so lucky!
As for the Truth + Dare question, Genie raised an eyebrow in response at first, not because it was too bizaare and/or extreme request, but because it was not. She expected them to be a little more.....creative in their demands, not asking for something so banal. Never the less, the devious dragoness complied with their request, waving one of her claws lazily in the air......before a small vortex of sand, grit, and dirt rose up from the ground directly beneath Raphael! Of course, the archangel easily glides out of the way/avoids the Move entirely, but it no doubt startled them and their mistress a bit!
*Time Skip: Genie's Turn at Hide and Seek!*
Indeed, Genie appeared to be savoring her latest 'catch' as she helped drag them all out of the berry bush, cheekily grinning at them the whole time. Finding the fae lady was aaaalllll too easy, given their weren't that many places large enough to hide a full grown human + their Pokemon out where everyone was (Presumably the Berry Fields), so all she had to do was methodically search each and everyone of them! Te he he....better luck next time, dear~
Unlike Shiva, the devilish dragonfly carefully thought over just what sort of mischief she wanted to cause her fae counterpart for several minutes, until the idea just came to her. It was simple, but it would be so effective at messing with them, te he he! Slowly, the dragoness leaned in closely to the mystical lass, and then, with an almost sultry and most definitely teasing grin, puckered her lips at them.
…Looks like Genie's daring them to give her a kiss
So, the question now is thus: Will Shiva give them some sugar, or something else?

That's a long enough no-teleport trip that I will roll to see if you encounter any Pokemon, so it's gonna cost a slot.

Alright, in that case, better specify who's in the party for that trip...
- Gallade
- Beldum
- Dim Beldum
- Grid
- Juliet
- Ray
Party assembled! Time to go evolve the Beldum duo into Metang at the magnetic cavern! (It'd be kinda funny if Nathan encountered a Sableye while there, tbh)

You come across a Klink, busily carving a track for itself into the ceiling. This occurs on the edges of the magnetic region.

It looks like it will be easy to avoid.

Just a lil' ol' Klink minding its own business? Well, nothing of major interest here. Definitely going to try and avoid it. Though if it's headed towards the magnetic region, it could evolve into a Klang if it got close enough...
Well, when Nathan does reach the magnetic region he makes sure to deposit his electronics in the box. Don't want them to be fried, after all. Gallade stays by the box to keep an eye on them while Nathan's in the magnetic region. The regular Beldum is sent out first. "Ready to fuse with the other Beldum and evolve? This should be the perfect place to do it."

Oh... Shiva would have not expected that all their enjoyable talking on the way to the field with Berry Bushes Terra has pointed out would go into THAT direction, with 'that' being the romantic relationship between her and his boss. E-especially not after she tried to express that this was sensitive terrain to enter by giving off and impression of 'enough said', but mentally Shiva facepalmed heavily, soft-scolding herself for her own dumbness to miss out what she should have known: That mountainous man would almost certainly not pick up that subtle hint, eeeekkk! Indeed, she has get used and adapt to that trait of the newest party member at first. First step's done already though, things are going well!
She...hadn't really anything to add or even say when he opened up about his thoughts, spoke so easily about how he feels that the moody fae enthusiast currently accompanying him and the erratic Pokemon Sociologist aka his boss make a match made in heaven and hell - even being so blatantly certain about this! All it caused within Shiva was a massive wave of embarassement mixed up with very warm feelings towards that particular empathic oddball, which manifested itself into a rather bright blush that she tried hardest to hide from Terra as she mustered the path or the surroundings on her side instead of him as he talked. Cottonee however, was all too amused by seeing her Master like that and chuckled to herself almost constantly.
WHEN he finished speaking, Shiva eventually did face him, but one moment later she (playfully) ended up punching his arm in the means of 'What are you talkin' about?!' "That's... rather cute that you think that way, thank you...for the words~", that was meant honestly and emphasized with a dear smile, "But...please keep it for yourself, alright? It was and still is Ven's sentiment to not reveal our bond towards the others of the group, and I'd wish to...keep it secret actually as well... Like, there's no good reason to share, and it's not THAT uncommon for young people finding each other during longer journeys. So.... Okay?" *mildly worried stare at him while the blush is still rather present, things will probably calm as soon as being reassured on the secrecy*
Phew, after that's been dealt with silence reigns for a little that Shiva uses to cool down a bit, all while Cottonee STILL kept up a happy expression over her Master being flustered. Always worth experiencing for the prankful fluffball! At his further confusion over Shiva's explanation of an archetype, she ended up rubbing the back of her head in lack of more and proper words of explanation. Eventually, "Ah... Don't feels sorry for not getting, try think about it too much maybe, it's more like a philosophical thing! I don't really know how to explain it further either, I'm sorry for that... Maybe encountering one in books or along the way by chance would help...? I'll let you know when I stumble over an example."
Terra's confession that he actually didn't know which Pokemon Type was his fave or prefered one was met with a curious look from the side by Shiva, before she almost got lost in thought again over his words. She also gave an encouraging nod when being asked whether 'motivations' was the right word. "That's quite a thing as well, tough Pokemon.... Something in the direction of Herdier or Rufflet?" If asked what kind of Pokemon these are, Shiva ends up showing him some pictures of each kind in a thick book she'll draw from her belongings. "They're both known for their strong will, though this will shows in a different way for these two: In case of Herdier, more in an eager to loyally help a Master it respects in anything possible - Rufflet is much more agressive and keen to pick up fights with anything due to its eager to become stronger. They can be troublesome to handle from my experience - but it's definitely what I'd call tough." She smiles mildly to herself. Oh yes, from what she believes Pokemon of such a caliber do fit well to him!
(I don't have anything more to add concerning Terra Time, so I'd be fine to conclude this part then unless he asks something detailed or such. I'll reply to the Genie Part tomorrow then!~)
