You come across a Klink, busily carving a track for itself into the ceiling. This occurs on the edges of the magnetic region.

*rolls*
It looks like it will be easy to avoid.

Just a lil' ol' Klink minding its own business?  Well, nothing of major interest here.  Definitely going to try and avoid it.  Though if it's headed towards the magnetic region, it could evolve into a Klang if it got close enough...

Beldum bobs up and down, assenting. He doesn't seem worried about it right now, as far as you can tell.

"Alrighty then.  We might have to guide the other Beldum a little bit to make sure the two of you find a sufficiently powerful spot in the magnetic field...but I doubt that will be difficult.  So, let's get started."

Out comes the Dim Beldum!  Time to fuse them together!  Since magnetism literally runs through their veins, the non-dim Beldum should be able to guide the other one (probably with some assistance from Nathan) to stronger sections of the magnetic field that could potentially evolve them.  I think.

Yes. It's actually pretty simple once they are both out. They start revolving around each other, and with a little random prodding they achieve a nice orbit. They're getting closer and closer, sparks flying... and they start glowing with purple light! A light so bright it overwhelms the electrical.

You can see the beings at the center of the light merging into one, thickening, reorienting itself in fits and starts. And when the light clears, it's a Metang floating there where two Beldum used to be! From its body language, you can already tell it is a higher order of Pokemon than it was before, intellectually.

Congratulations! Your Beldum evolved into Metang!

Woo hoo!

"Awesome.  So, weird question, but should I refer to you as a single individual or two, Metang?  Raise one claw for one, both for two."

Metang might be of a higher intellectual order, but the dim Beldum's 'surprise' still carried over, right?

One claw.

The Surprise carried over, but it will disappear when Metagross is achieved.

"Single individual.  Got it.  Guess that means your two brains are perfectly in sync, then...awesome.  Was a little curious about how that'd work, to be honest...and maybe a little concerned...good to hear things aren't extra complicated, though.  So...guess we're done here."

Next question: does Nathan get an empty pokeball back from this since two pokemon fused into one?  Aside from that, ready to retrieve Nathan's electronics and head back outside the caves! (Unless something happens on the way out?)

*Genie Time!*

The Desert Dragonfly seemed to be able to detect Shiva's fascination of her unique qualities and the abundance of confidence she possessed, and decided to preen even harder and be more dazzlingly showboating than before! Well, why shouldn't she be full of gusto? With Terra as her trusty partner, and her mind full of devilish guile and cunning, almost NOTHING in the world could take them on and walk away as the better off one! And now with Shiva by her side helping to plot her devious scheme.....te he he he he~!

For his part, Terra just rolled his eyes at Genie's antics, inured and used to them as he was. The Fairy Trainer's smile was meet with a squinty eye suspicious stare from the man, as he was still on edge from the BLATENT FAE FIENDISHNESS displayed between her and his mischievous dragoness, until finally he let out a small *sigh* and smile back, this one looking a bit strained but no less genuine. Despite the trouble those two will no doubt get into or come up with, he can't really stay despairing/paranoid at them. Not yet, at least!

Cottonee's BDEs treatment proved to be ineffective against the Dragon Djinni of the Desert, as she just countered with a most beneficent and angelic 'I know what's best for you' smile. You can't charm the heart of a fellow trickster, you delicate white ball of fluff!

--Link to the Terra-Time part--
---------------------------------------

Genie's further antics about displaying what a dazzling and precious exemplar of a darconic desert sprit she was were met with some more amazement from Shiva's side, quite in contrary to Terra's eye rolling! My, from the look of it she could even learn a bit about self-confidence from this special Flygon that'll help her overcoming her own shyness and bounderies. Key word was 'help' - not making the female fae enthusiast fully embrace her hidden fairy nature and becoming an overly prank- and devilishly playful individual towards every poor soul that dares to cross her path! That'd be for sure somewthing worth to see on it's own though.

Cottonee mostly ignored Genie's 'I know what's best for you'-smile as she got even more comfortable on her Master's head by rearranging some strands of hair to a fluffly pillow, Shiva doesn't seem to mind at all and only chuckled over how how her most dear fluffball and the desert spirit 'got along'. She could literally feel how Cottonee looks forward to touch an offered SunStone and evolve into a bigger wad of cotton silently more now - THEN, with her trickster attitude fully awoken thanks to her dear Master, we'll SEE who'll be smiling in the end, dragon!

Quote:*Time Skip: Shiva's Turn at Hide and Seek!*

Shiva and especially her currently two fairies seemed overly joyful over having managed to find Genie in her clever hide as they displayed an overly dramatic victorous pose over Genie's defeat this Turn. If it weren't for the sudden insight that she's, despite being a partial Ground Type, capable to fly, the desert spirit would have been luckier probably!

Humm... Though from the look of it, Shiva would have to get more daring in given tasks or questions if they start more games of this in future playdates if she wishes to challenge Genie a bit for lost turns. It gets mentally noted as well.

Having expected a move incoming, Shiva herself doesn't end up being startled by the display of Sand Tomb - Raphael though was caught rather off-guard by suddenly being soft-attacked as he let out a high-pitched coo and was overly desperate to escape that vortex of sand, grit and dirt by darting HIGH up into the air as fast as he could, before he ended up dispersing the vortex with a well-placed Air Slash and softly landing by the side of Shiva again. He didn't suffer any damage, but he seems to have taken it ill to be suprised like that Genie - some gentle pats and hugs from Shiva quickly swept this grudge away as it was just a Game, but the look and growl the archangel shot at the dragon was crystalclear: 'You'll get that back somehow and someday - just wait, you...!'  To emphasize his anticiptation of learning a Fairy Type move, he puffed his feathers a little and took a proud stance.

Quote:*Time Skip: Genie's Turn at Hide and Seek!*

Shiva let Genie help dragging her and her Pokemon from the Berry Bush, giving her a playfully annoyed expression (complte with grumbling and all) for having found her that easily. She patiently waited for the desert dragon to come up with a truth-or-dare-task, mustering her the whole time with a daring smile and loosely crossed arms...

...before she found her being more close than it would be comfortable for her, clearly asking them to give her a kiss. Huh. Her, a dragon!

Though Shiva suprisingly didn't flinch, but she casted a baffled look over to Terra, then at Genie again, then back to Terra. She didn't voiced what she thought, but even as dense as the mounatin of a man was he should understand her sentiment: 'Is this normal behaviour for your Flygon??'

Humm... Though eventually she went back to facing Genie, who was STILL puckering her lips at her with an grin that was hard to resist. It displayed so much fiendish mischief, teasing and faelike playfulness that Shiva found it more and more difficult to not play along.. That, and she has lost the Turn, that was now the price to pay!

"You sure you want that, Genie?, she asked her, while already placing her hands softly on the cheeks of the draconic Pokemon and sporting a wide grin on her own. "Well then....!"

A split second later, the fae enthusiast's and desert dragon's lips met.

It felt rather weird and by far not that soft as carefully selected known Pokemon or beloved plushies or Ventus, so Shiva was the one who broke the contact after a few seconds. She smiled teasingly though, and crowned her 'performance' with an eskimo kiss for Genie.

Now, would Genie or/and Terra have expected THAT?~

Let's say yes you get a Pokeball back.

Nathan makes it back to Cress City without problems! The Geodude who sometimes follows the party is at the entrance, and he waves to you casually before going back to his digging.

That is all!
