It's obvious Bill wants to see as many rare Pokemon as possible.

"Laurelin told me a clockmaker told her that you guys were having some kind of unusual...glitch, in reality?"

Despite his nerdery, Bill is fairly empathetic (high Insight) and can see that Nathan seems to be working up the courage to ask something, as he sees it. "Nathan, want to see how fast my Alakazam can be? Or perhaps he can get you a drink?"

Nathan will leave the question about 'glitches in reality' alone for now.

How fast?  Well then...

"Think your Alakazam is as fast as my Absol?  My name's Nathan, by the way.  I've read a lot about ya, but it's a pleasure to finally meet ya in person, Bill."

"Dark types make him nervous, but I'd say he might not be as fast even in the best of times!" Anyone can see that Nathan knows how to train fast Pokemon.

Bill leads you into the kitchen away from the rest of the group (feel free to flash backward and forward). Alakazam starts throwing spoons at the wall and recalling them just before they hit.

That's when Shiva does perk up visibly into his direction, formerly she was busy watching all the Pokemon and asking about some of them. (I'm typing up on that in the background, along more reactions and actions of hers.)

Her voice is rather shy towards Bill but meets him with great respect and fascination, which shows in her faint body language also. Barely ever she would have expected that eventually things would rech HIM! "You... you heard of that from her indeed? That's great! But, eh, yes, sometimes we do. It's.....scary....." A cold shiver runs down her spine as she fears this phenomena occuring every moment again. "You think you could help on that though? Or aid in finding out where it comes from?"

That's when Shiva does perk up visibly into his direction, formerly she was busy watching all the Pokemon and asking about some of them. (I'm typing up on that in the background, along more reactions and actions of hers.)

Her voice is rather shy towards Bill but meets him with great respect and fascination, which shows in her faint body language also. Barely ever she would have expected that eventually things would rech HIM! "You... you heard of that from her indeed? That's great! But, eh, yes, sometimes we do. It's.....scary....." A cold shiver runs down her spine as she fears this phenomena occuring every moment again. "You think you could help on that though? Or aid in finding out where it comes from?"

"Yes, it relates to what I've been working on with Laurelin anyway....THE TIME CAPSULE!!"

"The old so-called Time Capsule system could send Pokemon back in time, up to about three years, and only under certain circumstances where the older timeline sent something forward to initiate the time loop...if that makes any sense. Soon, I should be able to send Pokemon back in time all the way back to 1871 when the Analytical Engine was invented. Just need to iron out a few paradox prevention measures."

"I worry that what's happening to you is some sort of...time lurch. Not a hallucination, not a transportation in space, but in time. I don't know if you're really traveling in time or just sending some kind of perception back there. Either way, it could be dangerous, so I will definitely try to offer you what help I can. So far, our time-travel technologies are extremely, extremely, extremely limited - we only send information, not matter. And that means humans can never be sent back : ("

Heart was fascinated with that Time Capsule system, after all, he is Sinnohsian and Dialga is the Pokemon of Time the ArcHeart Clan once worship along with Palkia, Giratina and Arceus itself. "Its not dangerous use such technology in manipulate time? I mean, there is the butterfry factor to consider (something who happen in the past cause distortions in the future, like destroy the seed of a tree may cause the end of a entire forest). Time its a powerfull force, so it may be dangerous to know such thing. And there is paradox factor to consider too."

When Angie hisses disapprovingly, Nathan snaaps out of the stupor a little.  He lets Terra handle the situation first, then responds himself.

"...uh, no, nothing's wrong.  Everything's fine...I think...*ahem*..."

Then he notices Angie staring at him.

"...no need to worry.  I won't be taking any more of them.  Probably.  I imagine Terra wants to get some value out of them as well."

He thinks of something and chuckles a little.

"Well, given you like treasure, how about I show you one of mine?  That should be proof enough that I take good care of my valuables."

Nathan looks at Gallade, who nods in response...

...and then uses his Telekinesis to levitate the Clamperl Pearl in front of him.  Ooooo, shiny!  Distraction time, go!

Terra nods back, as that's precisely the thoughts he had about those rarities he stumbled upon. Its as his parents once told him: you can NEVER have enough Poke!

The chubby little snake, however, was not so easily mollified as their papa, and continue to unflinchingly staaaaaaaaaare at the boy...

...then stopped when Gallade hovered out his Clamperl Pearl, and focused her undivided attention on it instead.  *Zzzssssss* , what is that? Its so pink, and.....PRETTY. Ah, and she can feel the pricelessness and power radiating off it. So....breath taking, *Zzzsss* ...

Her eyes had glazed over in mesmeration by this point, and her tail was sedately waggling back and forth like a pendulum.

Suffice to say, the distraction was successful!

The mountain of a man chuckles at the sight, and gave the wyrm whisperer a thankful smile, before jerking a thumb back to the direction Shiva and Heart were heading in.

"We should catch up with them, before they meet.....Bill without us. Nice talking to you, my friend."

If nothing else need be said, then we can declare this scene closed!

"Great point, my man. We've been experimenting with such things since the turn of the century. The PC system is designed to sanitize paradoxes - no new information can be passed along. No new discoveries, no Pokemon or technologies the recipient wouldn't have heard of. Not only is it sanitized by our software, it's thought to be physically impossible to send such info. That time loop would be wiped out. And the old PC system wouldn't recognize the new information anyway; the cryptographic handshake would fail."

"Some time loops are stable - like the time loop which established the original Time Capsule in the first place. Some people say those time loops have Celebi's or Dialga's blessing."

Bill's House

You come to the edge of the farmette, where rolling acres meets the tarn. The waterwheel takes up one entire side of the huge house (the east). Through the windows, you can see foreboding flashes of piercing blue light. When you push the doorbell, it opens a tiny transparent sluice in the doorframe. Water pours through the tube and disappears inside the walls, then you hear a series of high pitched dings - it's the same tune that plays when you log in to Bill's PC.

A loudspeaker says "Buzz again in five minutes, please. I'm almost done."

Oh, if Cliff does accompany them to Bill's place, that's of course not goodbye then from Shiva's side, she's more than happy to have him by her side for a little longer as that means these two can chat about Pokemon Eggs even more along the way! Having stumbled over someone - or rather, someone cam to her - that kinda speaks the same language she does was refreshing, the fae enthusiast rather soon falls into Breeder's Jargon that someone who's not knowledgable in the field would hardly understand. The now healthier looking archangel does follow Shiva around contently, she quite savours his closure when he's surrounded by that faint glow reminding of the morning sun.

Along the waym Shiva ll silently could feel the eager anticipitation intensifying before starting to boil within her, flaring up like her magical fox's inner blaze. She can feel her heartbeat accelerating when Bill's House comes into view, though she quickly swallows up any nervosity. She mildly behaves like going to meet a famous actor she looks up to or so from the way she gives herself, eeeeeeeeeekkkk! The waiting time until Bill opens is passed by her gazing around or brushing through her hair with a hand simply to overplay her nervousness.

In 4.5 minutes, the door is opened by a brown-haired man in a polo shirt with an Eevee stitched over the pocket, which contains a notebook and pen.

You're looking into a rather normal room, obviously decked out for a vacationer. Comfy chairs, log walls, a big brick fireplace that looks like it's never been used. Pictures of famous individual Pokemon, like Mewtwo or Team Rocket's Meowth. Photos of famous Pokemon trainers - Red as a child, Gold as a teen, Ash at who knows what age but the appearance of a ten year old. You count no less than four PCs in the room.

"Guests? Have you come to see my Pokemon collection? Great!"

An Alakazam appears from behind a glint of light. It drops the spoons it's holding (they float where it dropped them). It gives a lazy flick of one claw. A bubbling sound begins, and a brief harsh grinding from the east wall. The house vibrates, and the northern wall drops into the floor.

An area three times the size of the living space is revealed! This is Bill's lab, and it's full of life!

One entire wall is a computer screen, attended by a Porgyon2. There are five giant potted plants containing things like Ekans, Pidgey, a Treecko, and a Cocoran. Heart even glimpses a tiny fey Pokemon peering around a stem before it disappears.

Two Eevee chase each other around the lab in hamster balls. Togepi pursues.

A Chansey is monitoring a Machoke with electrodes all over it as it happily punches a punching bag. She makes little marks on a tablet she's carrying, apparently in some sort of custom Chansey language. Farfetch'd observes. A shiny bubblegum-pink Heracross brings equipment back and forth to the scientist-Chansey.

A Rockruff is sleeping on a pet bed in the corner; a screen above its head shows an EEG line. There's a Lileep on the ceiling. Five Electrode surround a vertical cylinder, crackling with light. They clack off of each other, bouncing back and forth in a track but not exploding. They seem to be having a grand old time, but they pause and glare at the guests when you enter. Apparently, they are guarding the tube.

In short, every Pokemon contained inside is either partying or doing science or both.

"Don't go near any of these sensitive electronics, and the Electrode are a little testy, but otherwise feel free to look around, then you can tell me which Pokemon is your favorite! I purchase rare Pokemon, by the way, especially Pokemon who remind me of Johto. Alakazam will bring you any refreshment you require. And I...I'm taking a break! My poor brain hurts. No, really, it's worn out! That Laurelin, I tell ya."

Shiva's happy anticipitation threathens to boil over when she hears someone coming to the door some minutes later, and she failed to restrain herself from squealing in joy and embarrassment when BILL indeed opens. She has read so many reports about him, seen so many pictures and whatelse, but seeing him in person was a totally new level. A TOTALLY and COMPLETELY new experience, and one she all silently looked forward to due to personal reasons since hearing from a Nurse Joy that he's residing close-by. Now, she pulls her bagpack a little closer to herself as almost immediately she receives a welcoming and kind feeling from this famous PokeManiac. Aww!

The moment she spotted the huge PC screen operated by a Porygon2 and the various other Pokemon playfully following some scientific activities, she's sure that she has come to the right place with her asks. She just needs to bring up the courage to, well, to bring them up... Naturally the two Eevee playing catch in their hamsterballs raise her curiosity, Raphael lets out a pleased coo upon spotting the Togepi; and after having received non-verbal agreement from Shiva he flies over to greet and play a little with the Baby Form of his species. If Togepi's up for that at all! (Is it?) Watching with a soft smile on her face, the words just come. "Such adorable and cute Pokemon y-you have! But if I may ask, why are these two Eevee contained in hamsterballs? Does it have to do with their instable gene pool, and how they tend to react to so many different factors?"

Perhaps after he answered that to her and before everyone gathers again, Shiva grows even more meek, but it's now or never. Scratching together as many courage as she can, she draws and eventually hands Bill some small box from her belongings, it looks high-quality and is imprinted with small Eevees all over. "I, uh.... That's for you, please accept it! I made them...myself, and I know you like Eevee and its evolutions." Inside, is an assortment of Berry Slices covered in chocolate, neatly placed together to form a Pokeball. The flavor of the Berry is purposely selected to gonice with the type of chocolate it is covered with, sweet Prisif Berry for example goes with dark chocolate and citrusy Oran Berry with white one. "Some sort of personal thank-you. Can even be shared with Pokemon! Because, well, without your Storage System, we who set their field of interest in the Breeding of Pokemon and even do that on a full-time and freelance base like my father, wouldn't be able at all to do their job. Hehe... No, really, I wouldn't know how it'd work without your effort... So, simply thank you for all. In the name of my whole family as well. ...I'm Shiva, by the...way."

Having said that, she lowly bows to him even.

Whoah. Not even Ven has received such a gift of appreciation yet from her, towards Bill it's completely platonic and out of appreciation and respect of his work on the PC System. No worries on that!

Fairly ignorant and unworldly man that as he was, even Terra had heard of Bill and his contributions to Pokémon Research and the PC network. Therefore, he was suitably impressed and respectful when he first meet the researcher, bowing his head to them and remaining silent as he gazed upon their domain and his denizens with great curiosity. Most of the Pokemon scattered about the lab were those that he'd never scene before, and the various activities they were engaged in where intriguing for their sheer oddness. In particular, he was quite interested in the test being run by the Scientist Chansey with Machoke, for it blended both his interest in physical activity/rigors and the unique sight of a Pokémon taking over what was traditionally a human only occupation.

Seeing as he really didn't have anything to say/bring up to the PC Master that couldn't be done by others in the group (and better), he didn't have any really Rare Pokémon he could show them (as he was uncertain if his Lapis Lazuli could even fit inside the man's abode, let alone it being comfortable for them and everyone else), and that they had given the group near carte blanc to explore their place, the simple monk decide to do the following:

-First, he would go over to one of the PCs and (With Bill's permission) use it to quickly swap Basteele in his party to teach her Stealth Rocks, before sending her back, keeping his party formation exactly the same. If the bold bombshell has any reaction to learning the Hazard Move, then he'll react accordingly.

-Second, he would go over to stand by Farfetch'd and watch Machoke beat the stuffing out of that punching bag, observing their posture, form, and technique to ascertain what they are trying to accomplish. If he sees any flaws or room for improvement in whatever they are doing, he'll walk straight up to the body builder and offer to help via some concise explanations, followed by him doing some demonstrations. Otherwise, he'll just wait until they're done, and then go up to the Scientist Chansey and ask if he, Anubi, Shiranui, and Angie can have a go at the bag for practice. Because why not?
