[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

In regards to Spira joining the group (temporarily or not, ohohoho!), the rugged wanderer was more or less fine with it, so long as everyone else agreed to the mustachioed breeder tagging along. More people to watch and safeguard obviously made his job harder, but from what he's heard/witnessed they seemed like an perfectly alright (if a bit spooky) and competent Trainer, so having them around wasn't a bother.

Despite that, however, he choose to remain silently stoic around them for the time being, using only nodding/shaking/non-verbal ques to answer or 'speak' if they approached him for conversation/questioning, and kept mostly close to Shiva up until Rhydon pierced the heavens (As he wants to make sure she's absolutely alright after the Time Lurch). His reticence to interact with the fellow foreigner is not because he disdained them in any way, but rather because they were..... quite unfamiliar to him, and was uncertain as to go about interacting with them man as a result. With Nathan, Shiva, and Heart, he already knew what to expect from them based on what Ven told him in various ways, and therefore had a much easier time integrating himself with them.

But with Spira? A man he only meet recently (and tangentially, at that), and knew next to nothing about? Not someone that was easy to chat up for the mountain of a man. Especially since they were a resident of the past - who knows what might happen if he says or does the wrong thing with them? Not him! Nope, better if he keep his mouth shut and to himself in order not make a fool of himself or a mess of things, even if it means missing out on the chance to get to know the mustachioed breeder better.... (That's my justification as to why Terra's not interacting with Spira! Maybe he will later, but for now its radio silence!)

- Transition: Rhydon's Debut! -

When )%+.CHAOS!?@#* ensued upon the ground dino bursting through the earth, Terra nearly fell on his arse in surprise at their dynamic entrance, but he quickly recovered and started fingering his Net Ball and glaring at them, ready to wipe them out like a stubborn dirt stain! Before he could act out his intentions, however, Heart already beat him to the punch, shouting his plans to take on the stone beast before speeding off to do just that! Shiva was quick to follow after the collector, which briefly surprised him given how.....fraught things were for her now, and how charging off into a colossal fight seemed rather unusually risky for her. Did the group's trip through time shake her up THAT much to displace her from their normal behavior....?

Finally, he saw Calam suddenly summon itself and race of to put an end to the disaster in progress, with Nathan right behind them trying to keep up and shoot for them to wait. In any other situation that would make for a funny sight, but right now there was no time for laughing matters!

Regardless of the reasons breeder, scholar, and collector choose to fight Rhydon*, the simple monk soon shook his head and just accepted their decision, watching and shouting out some advice them/to them as they went off to confront the Ground Dino. "Shiva, Heart, Nathan, be careful! That Pokemon looks big and tough, so hit its Weakness to take it down quick! Try to Knock it Down if you can, and watch out for its horn, because it could know Horn Drill! Maybe Earthquake too!"

After saying this, he turned towards the rapidly approaching Fiery fat red relative of a Spoink and some sort of ronin fish dog (Ignorance of Non-Hoen Pokemon strikes again!) he caught sight of earlier and boldly stride forward to bar their path toward Rhydon*, summoning both Anubi and Angie in front of him to force them to Fight them instead of adding to the CHAOS! While he would have preferred if the group stayed well out of danger, he couldn't or wouldn't necessarily fault them for doing so to prevent a catastrophe from happening, and he knew them all to be competent enough to fight without his aid now, so he'll leave the Rock Beast to them while he takes on these buff looking farm animals!

Orders: Terra's fighting Emboar and Dewott all by himself, with Anubi and Angie being his first picks because he wants to REALLY put them to the test, and believes they are up for it! Waiting on initiatives now! Oh, and what are their reactions to being in their first serious fight with their partner/father? Particularly Angie's, since unlike Anubi she's never been in a proper fight, and her papa is throwing her up against a meaty challenge already!

Heart yell back to Terra filled with confidence and strengh. "Dont worry Terra! We pretty strong ourselves! Even more with my best pokemon to pick with me! We gonna make that rock dino get extinct!" Heart  give him a positive finger. "Ready to break that dino in two Gargryph?" With a stone sound, Gargryph and Heart head towards the powerfull enemy (I know Rock-type have a huge disavantage against a Ground type, but I really want to put my stone Gargoyle in action against such foe! Also, I have swap items again @Iron with Viktor holding Miracle Seed and Gargryph holding the Leftovers).

Calam is actually entirely unfazed by showing up in the past. He just listens patiently to your explanations and moves on, ready to go. Like Gallade, he trusts Spira, and nods to him. Calam is the disaster Pokemon - does this qualify?

The Rhyhorn event certainly qualifies! Calam is racing in there, having burst forth from his Pokeball without permission as is his wont.

Apricorns make a sound when releasing a Pokemon, but it's not as tech sounding. Maybe more like a hissing of displaced air. They do still have the burst of light from the "crystal" inside.

Calam: (4) + 11 = 15
Viktor: (6) + 7 = 13
Starmie: (2) + 9 = 11
Nightshade: (3) + 7 = 10
Gargryph: (3) + 7 = 10
Dizzy: (1) + 7 = 8
Vaporeon: (1) + 7 = 8
Smeargle: (5) + 2 Dex + 0 Survival = 7
Rhyhorn: (1) + 2 Dex + 1 Survival = 4

Heart jump from the Gargryph mount to let him have more freedom in use his moves! "Alright! Lets begin this battle them! Shiva! Nathan! Lets go!" Heart then begin to send orders to his pokemons. "Viktor! Gargryph! We must stop Rhydon from doing any other charge! You two must move foward and restrain Rhydon as much you two can! Fortify your position Viktor! Spam Horn Leech 4x! and you Gargryph with Glare to stop the movement of Rhyhorn and give Shiva and Nathan enough time to finish him! Then Gagryph use Cosmic Power for more defences! Then spam as much Ancient Power (around 3x) or at least you get the boost of power from Ancient Power, then you can use Stored Power instead to cause more damage!"

In addtion to these orders, Heart will also use 2 Great Balls and 1 Ultra in between paralyzis and Flinching to slow the charge of Rhydon @Iron

Dewott: (6) + 4 Dex + 2 Survival = 12
Emboar: (6) + 3 Dex + 3 Survival = 12
Angie: (4) + 7 = 11
Anubi: (2) + 7 = 9

Baby Angie looks nervous already, but is ready to do whatever papa commands. Anubi has no lack of confidence.

Right away the rugged wanderer picked up how spritely both the Unovian Pokemon were, causing him to grimace uncomfortably for a moment, until he snapped his hand toward Cousin Grumpig, his expression hard like diamond! He would not fail his friends in stopping these Pokemon, nor would he fail his newborn snake by botching this Fight!

"Anubi, Force Palm on big piggie, then start using Reversal on it when they and the Water type hurt you! Angie, underground now! Hit big piggie when you come back up, then do it again! Will heal you if you get too hurt, so don't worry! Now, go!"

Order: Anubi will use Force Palm and then Reversal 2 times on Emboar if he listens to Terra, while Angie will be using Dig twice this Round on Emboar to avoid it/Dewott from targeting her as much as possible. If Angie loses 4 or more HP, a Potion will be used on her. The goal of the game is removing the burning pile of ham so that it no longer poses a threat to the cuddly snake with its SE STABs, then swiftly focus down the otter on the half shell. I do NOT want Angie's first battle to end in Fainting for her, so let's take care both those farmyard critters ASAP!

Moves:

Force Palm
Accuracy: DEX (2) + Fight (5) + Brawl (4) - 3 Actions = 8D6 Base Dice
Damage: STR (5) + 2 + STAB = 8D6 Base Damage
Effect: *Paralyze 3*

Reversal
Accuracy: 7/6D6 Dice
Damage: 7D6 Base Damage
Effect: Add 1 Damage Dice for every 1 HP lost on this Pokemon, up to 5 Dice, or a max Base Damage Roll of 12D6

Dig
Accuracy: 11D6 Base Accuracy - 5/7 Actions (Due to Charges taking the 4 and 6 Actions) = 6/4D6 Base Dice
Damage: STR + 3 + SE = 8D6 +1 Base Damage
Effect: Charge Move; User is Out of Range/Can Not Be Damaged while Move is Charging, unless Magnitude, Earthquake, and other Move capable of deeply penetrating the ground are used.

Spira is busy observing the scenery {OOC Note: too busy to notice Heart's futuristic Pokeball}, when a cart carring goods is tipped over by a stampeding Rhyhorn. He notices a small quadruped pokemon investigating the items, jumps off the Gargryph and rushes over, intent on getting the pokemon out of harm's way. He reaches the pokemon. "Hello there little guy" He reaches his hand toward the pokemon, palm up. "I don't want to have to fight you so could you leave, it's dangerous here"
Orders: Spira tries to convince the little deer to leave. If it succeds, he immediately goes to collecting the items. (Empathy?)
Battle mechanics *only if the convincing fails*: "Go Hida, use Yawn!"
Yawn: Accuracy 4+5+2= 11D6
Effect: if the target is not removed from battle before the start of the next round, it falls asleep.Sleepy time  for the little deer
*If Yawn is successful*:Spira recalls Hida and carries the unconscious pokemon {OOC Note: unless the Deerling is oversized or overweight, Spira should have no trouble carrying it} to a more safer enviornment, then goes back to collect the items.
*If not* repeated until it is successful
Also when Spira brings the items to the dr, he'll ask if they're interested in taking Pachi (Chupacho) of of his hands.

Might help those with self-confidence issues. Time is still going faster for you - I'm starting to think it has to do with whenever you access your future. More on this later."

With her gothloli fortune teller out of her Ball and by her side Shiva feels significantly better mentally. With interest she takes the map from her and throughoutly studies it while the others are resting a little, compares it with the map depicted in Hitmonlee's Guidebook. If there are any differences in nature, environment or Routes in the southwest region between 1925-Chreshire and 2017-Chreshire, she'll spot them.

Ah, she also got the rather weird feeling that she may be dressed a tad bit too 'flashy' or 'modern' to pass as someone who is NO accidental timetraveler from the future because of Celebi's will, so she swiftly throws the old Ranger's cloak over herself. The long and wide sleeves also neatly conceal the PTC from prying eyes and uncomfortable questions.

She's mostly watching the surroundings as they all move along now with Spira having joined them on the way, appreciating Terra sticking close by her to keep his word of keeping her safe. Worry and fear still whirl around within her, but not to the point where it threathens to boil over. She still doesn't care about history, but watching a carriage - even such a stately one - all calmly following the road was quite the culture shock for her as she's used to the skyscrappers of Castelia City. Though what caught her attention much MUCH more, was something different:

Quote:This wagon coming the other way is much less stately. It's moving at a speed a little too fast for this lumpy road, pulled by Rapidash. The wagon is tall and boxy and made mostly of plywood, and it says "Dr. M's Traveling Medicine Show" in lurid letters. It looks like it can open up, but it's all fastened with precarious straps. Four very small, crouched Croagunk are riding on the roof, stuck to it with sticky hands. They hold themselves like Froakie rather than normal bipedal Croagunk.

The driver of the wagon, a man in a purple cape, large tophat, and monocle, waves to the carriage and goes a bit to his right as well. It looks like they will pass in peace.

She gasps imperciby and seems to have only eyes for that carriage now - or to be more specific, for its driver. She has seen such a purple coat in combination with a large top hat already, in fact she is always carrying a tophat in her belongings: The one Azumarill has tossed away after she evolved, the one she has always hid in when she was a tiny and sad Azurill. Now, Shiva makes sure that Spira isn't particularly paying attention to her in order to draw her cell and check the picture-of-a-picture she has made at the Fountain of Brotherhood in Stair City: This guy with the purple coat, gloves and an Azumarill providing water via a Hail, does he indeed look familiar to her in appearance with the driver? She thinks so.

Given the years in between this driver must be either the father or the grandfather of the ....former owner(?) of her much beloved fae mouse/now rabbit. However... Something does not feel right to Shiva, this does not make sense to her. WHY has she never heard of this Travling Medicine Show in Chreshire so far, is this show abandoned in 2017? Where does Azurill come from then, where did she get that tophat from?! Insightful and smart as she is, she doesn't get this at all. The simple THOUGHT that her dear Azu could come from the past originally has the potential to cause a bluescreen in her mind. She feels an immense urge within her to get to know this 'Dr. M' and his show a little more.

Not much time to think about that right now though, as trouble has found them all for the n-th time, this time in the form of a huge Ryhorn. Lovely. Looks to be grumpy and let out a bit of its displeasure to the Gogoat, from the corner of her eyes she also spotted Dizzy running to the carriage in competition with a Stoutland, quickly followed by at first Heart then Nathan, followed by Terra voicing his concerns to them all as she made attempts to tail after these two. Over her shoulders she gave him an appreciating gaze along the words "I will take care, yes! It's just...these two just had a battle against all these Electabuzz, I wish to make sure they don't overstress themselves there by playing the heros... And, there are people in the carriages in POTENTIAL DANGER."

To Heart and Nathan: "W-wait for me, please! Don't just run off into the danger zone like that, give me...a chance to aid you two this time..."

To Dizzy: "Dizzy my confident one, if I may ask you that please make sure that the Stoutland does NOT do any harm to the people and Pokemon of both carriages, defeat it or scare it off in whatever way you feel works best. Trusting in you to be capable to fight it on your own if needed, you're trained well by the right people."

Right now she has more important things on her mind than spotting that summoning Pokemon from normal redwhite Balls may be a curiosity, but only Kyuu makes an apperance from one as Lilith is already out any by her side. A little out of breath from this whole mess having happened, she points out the big Ryhorn to them both. "Alright, we... all need to make sure it does NOT reach those it is charging for - Lilith, you please restrain its movements with your psychic power, I'm conficent that they're strong enough to-" The rest of it goes down in a sharp hissing sound of Kyuu, the psychic cat is reminded on the Miltank and attempts the same approach here as he was already leaping to slap it before it even knows he's there. Regardless whether the target is much bigger and a Rock Type, if he bristles his tails and fur he can be quite intimidating as well!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No multiple actions from me as we concentrate on what's important now. Dizzy gets no specific orders about moves.

Accuracy Roll Lilith's Telekinesis on *Ryhorn: 4 Dext + 2 Fight + 4 Channel = 10d6
Effect: The intention is to restrain the foe's movements and slow it down. Though is it enough to lift that huge Ryhorn to give it the immunity to Ground Type Moves?
Secondary Effect: For 2 Rounds no moves targeted on the foe fail.

Accuracy Roll Kyuu's Fake Out on *Ryhorn: 4 Dext + 2 Fight + 2 Brawl = 8d6
Damage Roll: 3 Strength + 2 power of the move, no STAB = 5d6 though -1 autodamage due to NE
Additional notes: Has +1 Priority and autoflinches.

The map is actually virtually unchanged, except that the little towns (like Teazel Valley or any town without a gym) have gotten even smaller. They are now just dots.

The driver of the wagon is dressed in a similar flashy fashion to Azu's former owner, but the face is distinctly different. You wouldn't even say there's a family resemblance to that magician. And the timeline doesn't match up at all, as you mentioned. Still, there's something slightly familiar about him...

This slightly familiar feeling serves to increase Shiva's interest for Dr. M - what may 'M' stand for at all? - she believes that there is more behind him than the eye can see. Doesn't seem to be related to the magician with the Azumarill in the picture-of-the-picture, maybe the one pictured is a modern times copycat??

I've given my orders, what's left now that the Round can be rolled out are dicepools from @Spiritmon and orders from @Dragonstrike.
