Azumarill pulls out a 1925 $50 coin. You're not quite sure where she got that.

"Oh, great idea. Flyers for everyone!" He tosses out a sheaf of flyers about his show.

"Nope, this isn't my hat. Mine is more of a dark purple. I did have a show in Celebi Park yesterday, you must have just missed me!"

"Yes, I use real Pokemon, including my fleet of Croagunk, and this." He reaches under his shelf and pulls out a big jar full of semitransparent goo. Inside, a bunch of Tynamo swim all around. His Eelektrik comes down and curls around the jar. "I like to perform live leechings! You can visibly see the toxins leaving the body and being pulled into Tynamo, where they are converted into electricity! When Tynamo absorbs enough, it evolves into Eelektrik! Isn't that amazing? It can cure almost any problem! It's a miracle cure, invented by yours truly, Dr. Izerius Mallorn!"

Shiva investigates the coin her fae rabbit has pulled out with a very quizzical expression as soon as she realized how it looks odd, before a sweet smile washes it away and she draggs Azu in another fond and warm hug. Doesn't matter HOW Azu did that, Shiva loves this! "Oh Azu... What would I be without you?" Azu tightens the hug to show that she returns this sentiment of her dear Master who helped her overcome this numbing sadness and fulfilled her wish to evolve... It's heartwarming to see the pair sharing so much affection.


She's very eager to snatch a flyer the good Doc tosses out, with Azu lending her a Helping Hand it was as easy as crafting a good plushie for her. She presses the paper against herself, all smiling happily to herself, this simple flyer must be some kind of new treasure for her. Aww!~ "Thank you! I'll try to make it to a future show of yours. Especially since I, well... must have indeed missed you yesterday, haha. ^^;" She packs the tophat carefully away then.

Naturally Shiva is very jumpy about these Croagunk, desires to have a secure distance between herself and them. Though she feels that they won't do anything neither to her nor to Azu, and this glass full of smol Tynamo quickly averts Shiva's intention as she STARES at it in a way that would almost count as impolite and overcurious. Once, an infamous sparkle even flares up within her eyes behind the glasses - she has found something that caught her interest!!! In her voice, a lot of vigor can be heard. "L-live leechings, you say?! With these Tynamo and your neat Eelektrik? Oh, I'd loooove to experience that please! Me and my fairies at best even! Just give me a minute, I must, eh... Ask two of them at first whether they'd be up to. I'll be back right away, you can stay here and wait, Azu!"

To make it short, she darts off into her safe spot she already contacted Bill a few minutes ago, this time she asks him to bring Raphael back to her in return for Kyuu. The psychic cat would carry a mail saying "I found something that Raphael may enjoy, I'm sorry if I'm pestering you with many trades. I hope the Time Capsule can take it... Ah, 121 seconds this time."

Azu in the meantime thought it'd be funny to mimic Dr. MALLORN(!), she concentrated and summoned a bunch of illusionary pidgeons to fly over the scene with the same movement that he tossed out Oran Berries and flyers. 'I can do what you can do as well!', her gaze seems to say. She chirps fondly as Shiva returns eventually, now a little out of breath and with Cottonee and Raphael by her side.


"Haaahhh... I'm sorry that you had to wait. But.... haaahhhh... Everything's fine, we're ready and up for it then. It'll be, let's say, Tynamo for my Cottonee, Azumarill and Togekiss while Eelektrik treats me, would that be okay? I sadly am completely broke, but I can sell you one of my Paralyze Heals for it (costs 200$, earns me 100$ of 1925-cash, Eelektrik Treatment costs 75$) You can keep the rest as a tip. Now, away with any nasty toxins still lingering within me and my dear fairies!~"

This treatment first, then we'll get to trade stuff. To not arise unwanted attention, Shiva does not react visibly to it being done by an ancestor of good old Professor Mallorn - though whenever she speaks with him again, she might bring this up!

"Great! Have a seat in this chair." Another lever pulled, to release a new piece of plywood from the side of the wagon, where Heart can be seated while the Dr. attaches leeches all over him! And he finishes up with the Eelektrik, stuck on your back.

You can feel them taking very small amounts of your blood and turning slightly red in color. You feel a little lightheaded, but it's actually pretty relaxing.

"All those toxins are now stored in my Tynamo!"

You gain 1 Will point, and you feel a little giddy. Dr. M kinda dances around you, plucking Tynamo and giving them a squeeze.



"Yep, you had lots of toxins in you. You might want to swing by my wagon again tomorrow and get another treatment."

Shiva gets the same treatment. Azumarill and Raphael are realllll nervous about having those leeches stuck all over them. They're going to take some convincing, but Shiva herself gets +1 Will.

Oh... While Shiva actually much enjoys this treatment once having gotten used to the fangs of Tynamo and Eelektric - this is a very natural way to clean the blood circulatory system, which she would know and appreciate! - she very clearly picks up how her fae rabbit and archangel are justifiably quite nervous about this. In her eager Shiva must have accidently forgotten that they are sporting a Type Weakness against these electric eels, pulling them close to her in a hug she tries to express that she's very sorry for that.

"Now, now...", she'd softly adress them, "All is fine. Forgive me that I've acted so stupid, I should have gotten what's the matter with you two.... But, have you paid attention to how I and Cottonee have been treated? I couldn't feel a single electric shock, trust my words. These Tynamo don't even know how to create electricity themselves. If it'd hurt, it'd be visible as I would have jerked. It didn't... Instead, I'm feeling more refreshed than before. I didn't even know that toxins are poisoning my blood stream until feeling them leaving my body, wandering into the attached Tynamo... It's a little uncomfortable in the first few moments indeed, but the body quickly gets used to it. Though not even a huge Pirsif Berry might cure the toxins that lay deep, and is there something more scary for a fairy than having remains of poison within them...?"

"Oh, and if you like you can stay in my arms during the treatment and we can start very slow. Would that work, Doctor?"

"Huh...Cress...if you don't mind me asking, sir, could I get that address from you?  I'd definitely want to pay ya a visit if we happen to be in the area.  And it's good to know the roads are clear to the west.  Though this one looked rather clear too before that Rhyhorn showed up...well, we're not far from Cress, so it's probably safe, but be careful with the drive back all the same."

And with that, he can also look up family history stuff later (or get Bill to do it).  A name and an address is some good intel.  (Last name would be some good information too if Nathan could get it).

"...oh, and...I don't think there's any more problems since Calam, Dizzy, and Gallade seem rather calm about everything right now, but...do you know that Stoutland that leaped into your carriage after we stopped the Rhyhorn?  I'm honestly wondering where the heck that dog came from and what the heck it was trying to do..."

TLDR; Ask for an address and about that Stoutland!

With Dr. M:

After looking at what's available and what Dr. M is selling and how he's selling it...Nathan realizes why the doc looks familiar!

He mentally facepalms when he does, too.  '...of course...well, at least most of his products are likely to be reliable and do exactly what they say on the tin...even if it's hard to tell if he's being truthful about the origins of the items...' (note: this is before the big name drop)

Whatever Nathan realized, it definitely seemed to convince him that the quality of the products is at least genuine (minus the Ekans Essence and maybe the 'treasure maps'.  And the Izers, which are certainly NOT homeopathic to Nathan's knowledge...).

Nathan digs around in his bag for a moment.  He's not sure he wants to trade his Shiny Dwebble Shells, seeing how Terra only got half of what he'd estimated for them while trading his own shells...but there is one item he knows he wants to sell off...

...mostly because few others would take it.  Nathan has literally nothing to lose by selling this item to one of the only people who would possibly take it, so he might as well take advantage of that, right?

What Nathan sets on Dr. M's counter is a pink tail with a white tip.  "Genuine Slowking Tail.  A little spoiled since I found it a little while back, but maybe you can still do something with it and the secretions from its tip.  How about one of those ElectrIzers and 10 of those Tinctures in exchange for it?  Oh, and also...as much as I appreciate the gift of these 3 Oran Berries, could I swap them plus this fourth one I have for a Pecha, a Rawst, and 2 Chestos?"

Nathan is entirely not surprised when Dr. M namedrops himself dramatically, for the record.

Slowking Tail ($1500) -> 1 ElectrIzer + 10 Tinctures of Ramses ($1500 total.  That ElectrIzer is actually a great deal since Magnets are $2k in 2017!  Means I don't have to go to the Department Store to get an Electric boosting item, either!)
4 Oran Berries (1 to 1 conversion) -> 2 Chesto Berries, 1 Rawst Berry, 1 Pecha Berry (huh...that's weird...Chestos and Persims are the only 'common' berries in the book...that's an interesting design choice the writers made...)

Nathan's sat down next to Gallade, Calam, and Starmie while waiting for everyone else to finish shopping/bartering/browsing, not wanting to recall them yet since there's so many people around (and he just enjoys spending time with his pokemon).  It's easy enough for Spira to come on over and talk.

Though Nathan didn't expect the question to be about that.  Calam awkwardly shifts his sitting position, feeling uncomfortable with the topic.

"...honestly, I don't know how he got that scarred eye.  He's had it for a lot longer than Gallade and I have been friends with him.  I don't really want to pry, though, to be honest."

Nathan smiles, then changes the topic.

"Gallade and Calam don't seem to mind your company, though.  That's a good sign, in my opinion."

Terra asking about those maps is certainly a pleasant surprise.  "Yeah, I'll take a look at 'em.  I'm honestly wondering what they depict myself."  'And if they're any good at all...', he adds to himself.  Well, does Nathan recognize any of the places on those maps, @Iron?

As a whispered aside when Terra hands him the maps: "By the way, did you account for inflation when doing your bartering earlier?"

Yeah, Azumarill gets in your lap and Raphael in your arms, as the Dr. sticks leeches all over you guys. They all close their eyes as the fangs go in. They're not sure that felt all that wonderful, and even Shiva herself isn't sure if the science here is legit, but it at least works as a placebo for Will point gain!

Mito gives you the address, which is indeed downtown, or just west of it. Not too far from the modern day location of the West Pokemon Center.

The wife, Rita, is petting the Stoutland as you ask that. "I've heard about these...Stoutland trained as rescue dogs! They live in the mountains and if they notice someone in trouble, they'll always try to help!"

(how would an Izer even be homeopathic? I love it. The Electrizer is a good deal if you don't account for inflation, as will be common in the past.)

Calam winks at Spira, and Mito's family comes on over to talk to you guys. "Hehe, sorry to bother you again, but little Bubba here wanted to give you a gift once we explained to him that you helped save us and the carriage and our Pokemon!"

The baby in Chansey's arms is wiping off his doll. He grabs Smeargle's tail and gives it a new coat of paint - the old paint wipes right off as if by magic. The new coat of paint makes it look vaguely like a Rhyhorn. Now it's gray with spikes all over it. Of course, being painted by a 1 year old, it's pretty messy, and nothing can explain the red dress the doll is now wearing.

He holds the doll out to the party. "He wants you to have it - if any of you want to take it, we'd be happy to buy him another doll when we get to Cress later today. He has a very generous spirit for such a young babe."

One of the maps, Nathan can't make heads or tails of, so it doesn't seem like Creshire at all. The other starts at the west side of Creshire, and quickly disappears into territory beyond Nathan's knowledge. And there's no scale on the map. But it definitely depicts a route to the west.
There is a big X on it, of course, but no indication of what kind of treasure you're looking for.
