"Ugh... What was that? Oh. Nate, What's up?" Spira was still slightly nauseous from the sudden lurch. He then takes in his surroundings. "Uh... Where are we?"

"...first of all, I need you to not panic, alright?  That...was a lurch in time.  Me, Shiva, and Heart have been experiencing those for a little while.  Terra felt a few recently, too.  And just recently, they've been more active, and I had a feeling they'd start affecting you, too.  To answer your question about where we are..."

"...well, the where is technically still the same.  It's when that's more important.  This is the King's Road, the path to the royal castle...that means we're all the way back in the time of Sarimanok, the Last King."

Nathan motions for Spira to follow him.  "Come over here for a sec.  We need to get away from those statues so I can show ya something.  Gallade and I have a bad feeling about 'em..."

Assuming Spira does...

Once Nathan and Gallade are certain they're a sufficient distance from those statues, Nathan pulls out a 2017 pokeball.  "Looks like one of yours, just a slightly different color, right?  Well...this design came later, after 1925.  And they made stronger pokeballs, too."

Nathan also pulls out a Great Ball and an Ultra Ball to show Spira.

"Those are just one set of things I can show ya to prove we're not from your time.  That those lurches have indeed sent us to the past.  If you need more, I definitely have more to show."

"...well, I'm not sure exactly what year, but I do know the general time period.  This time is...several hundred years in the past (about how many centuries would it be, @Iron?).  It's been a loooooonnnnggg time since the days of the Kings."

Nathan shows Spira...the 'watch'.  "This.  This...isn't a watch.  In 2017, there's a technological wiz who goes by the name of Bill who's trying to help us figure this out.  He gave me, Shiva, and Heart some of these so we could keep him updated, and so we could still access our pokemon and items in the present time."

Nathan fiddles with it for a moment, and it expands!  When it's expanded, it definitely looks like nothing Spira has ever seen before.  Then Nathan repacks it because it'd be awkward to do anything else besides fiddle with it while it's expanded.

"I need to write a quick message to Bill.  Update him on what's happening."

Nathan pulls out a pen and letter paper and starts writing. He lets Spira watch the whole process.

Bill, another lurch happened.  And just like I thought might happen, it brought Spira with us, too.  We're not in 1925 any more.  We're in Sarimanok's era, judging by the state of the road where Route 13 was and the amount of banners nearby with Sarimanok's Eye emblazoned on them.  Not sure about the exact year yet, but I'm not sure I'll have a chance to find out, given we all stick out like sore thumbs amongst all the guys wearing armor and really basic clothes.  Got a map of the era? Or maybe even some more appropriate attire for the time?

Oh, and Spira seems to be taking it rather well, thankfully.  A bit out of his element, but otherwise fine.

And the message is sent with...Shinx in exchange for Charmeleon.  The return message can be sent in another trade: Ray being sent back in exchange for Snivy (holding the Magic Beans).

"Well Nate, thanks for telling me all this, I'm going to check on some things." Spira goes back and looks at the ghost pokemon in the pillars that he soon identifies as Misdreavus. "Hey Nubi, look." Spira lets Nubi out of his pokeball to see all this. Nubi definitely looks happy to see all these fellow Misdreavus, but sad that they are being held captive like this. While that happens Spira takes a closer look at the gems in the pillars.

Guess her intuition about the spectral breeder was right, he indeed seems to know what he's doing or is about to do. She still faces him, but now with a less worried look behind the glasses. What she also does upon him sharing that there are GHOST POKEMON within these statues is averting her gaze to stare at them, now she knows why they are giving her shivers. Now, she'll probably avoid them more and make sure that her Cleanse Tag is in her pocket of the cloak. "N-no, I indeed can't. Thank you for letting me know... Just be careful please. If anything goes wrong, let us know, but... I guess you know what you are doing."

Lilith also shivered upon these Ghosts, but if they dare to get too close - she'll Feint Attack them into oblivion! Shiva's anti-ghost dog isn't with her at the moment and sadly can't be transfered.

Nathan perks up, momentarily distracted by that statement (let's say this is after Nathan send his message to Bill, because Nathan doesn't want to be anywhere near those statues while he's messing with future tech).  "Ghosts?  There's ghost pokemon in those statues?"

Nathan gestures to Shiva and Spira to step away from those statues again so they can converse about the relevant historical topics with hopefully some modicum of privacy, now EXTRA paranoid about them.  He points at that Eye on the banners.  "...guys...that eye over there on those banners?  That's Sarimanok's Eye.  That's the Last King's standard.  And those statues?  Those are but a few of the ones he placed around his kingdom.  'Sarimanok's Eye sees all' is how the saying used to go...and if there are Ghost types hiding in those statues...that would definitely explain how that saying came to be.  Odds are, those ghosts belong to the King himself.  We're definitely in Sarimanok's era, no mistaking it.  I really, really don't recommend messing with those statues.  That could be punishable.  I don't know to what degree, but...I'm not sure I want to find out..."

Nathan and Gallade look at Shiva.  "...being in this time means a few things.  Like, for example, women aren't as independent as they are in more present times. There's a lot more men in that camp than there are women.  We also aren't dressed for the occasion.  I guess Terra's doing fine over there, but...we three and Heart don't exactly look like anyone that lives in this time period.  I've asked Bill if he can send us some more appropriate attire since we don't know how long we'll be here.  I'm hoping he comes through, or we're going to be...very limited in what we'll be able to do in this time period without immediately becoming the talk of whatever town we wander into."

On hearing this Spira stops what he's doing, he doesn't want to find out the sentence, either. He calls out to Nubi, "Calm down, and back to your ball." Nubi complies, going back to his pokeball. "So just how long will we have to wait?"
