[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Terra finds Mawile in the Tall Grass already growing around old statues in this time period. It seems to have heard him and is shuffling sideways along in the grass, keeping most of its body hidden. He can see it as an oddly shaped silhouette in the grass.

But I guess you should have anyway these symbols with you. These write symbols might be useful if we someday enter on the Skull Ruins or have extra protection against evil ghosts." Heart give the pages with write symbols to Shiva hands. "Besides, they are more with you than me."
(...)
Humm, how Heart insists that he has handed her some raw material for these special tags causes Shiva to rummage through all her stuff, pulling out the large things from her backpack and carefully checking all the boxes and bag with smaller things. Cottonee is eager to 'help' and checks out everything she likes, like that fluff she shed, this Destiny Knot and used TM of her newest move.

Eventually she has to shake her head to the PUNisher. "N-no, I'm sorry - I can't find them, I likely would have known where I've put these raw materials if you'd have given them to me. Maybe you still have them by yourself?..." *takes the papers with the written symbols anyway and gazes at them with fascination* "I happily take these if you want me to, thank you!~ Will take good care of these pages." Once she has made a small note who, when and where has found these symbols Shiva stores the pages away into her own star-patterned hardcover journal and begins to pack all her stuff back again.
(...)

"Hmm, strange...let me take a look in my bag." Heart takes a quick search in his bag and found the three kind of Tag in his inventory: Wood, Metal and Cloth tags. "Ahh so iit was still with me! I must have forgot in gave to you. Sorry. Now you have anything you need." Heart then gave the three types of tags to Shiva.

She chuckles lightly to herself over this and gives Heart an amused look of 'Told you!~' and all carefully accepts the handed valuable raw material. Simply keeping three of these enchanted pieces in her cupped hands is giving her a strange feeling, it's almost like she can feel the magic these are radiating. "Oh, you... You sure you want to give me ALL of them? I only need one, these symbols are just enough for me making you one Tag. So, ehm, which one would you prefer? The 'stronger' the material the 'stronger' the Tag will be if all goes well, metal is stronger than wood and wood is stronger than cloth. Ah, you'd also need to choose a shrine which's name I'll paint onto the piece - the more related the Pokemon or concept is to your desired task, the 'stronger' the Tag will also be. Mine's dedicated to eerie and mighty Giratina itself... choose one shrine from this list."

Paging a little through her journal she eventually presents Heart a list of shrines scattered around Chreshire.

(Crafting my own Cleanse Tag has not taken an Encounter for me, means I'll work that in somewhere when there's time. I just wish to have all needed info in one go please!)

You also now have Ra-gō-dow, the shrine of Groudon's vengefulness, which was demolished sometime between 500AD and 1900AD. You're not sure how that will affect a tag.

The Yanmega you encounter is normal size for a Yanmega - the gargantuan ones are from the Fossil era, but this one is still pretty big. Especially its jaws - they look so large he has an underbite, and he's flying around snapping up entire Pidgey and Venomoth from the field.

What Pokemon do you send out?

When Shiva looks to see what she's tripped over, she discovers it's a Shuckle that is colored blue! It leaves a trail of shiny scales, and it appears to have collected some of those scales for safekeeping inside its shell. Two valuable faceted sapphires have been used to plug two of its holes, and the smell of very old fermented Berry Juice is emanating from it. It looks like this Shuckle once had a wealthy owner, but it's obviously been feral for quite some time.

"I guess I choose the Tangiwhannauo." Heart feel this somehow something he do. He lost so many people he once cared in the past. Maybe that path may help him. "Also, I choose the Metal Tag. It may be enough powerfull."

What Nathan finds is most spectacular of all. He's found the site of a recent fierce battle, where arches and road surfaces have been crumbled under the sheer force of powerful attacks. All the warding gems are shattered into dust. One arch has already been thoroughly looted, all the gems prised away. An empty slot is left for a large sphere. In the other ruined arch, the gems are likewise missing, but a huge metal orb has escaped detection beneath a thick layer of dust. Giving it a little rub, Nathan is amazed to discover it's made out of one of Sarimanok's three legendary metals.

Those are:

Orichalcum: Associated with wild Pokemon and Arceus and Mew.
Mithril: Associated with journeys/Quests and Heatran.
Adamant: Associated with time, and Dialga, of course.

What Nathan has found is a sphere made of Adamant, a large enough quantity to possess some power of its own. It doesn't hold the incredible evoked Earthpower of a true Adamant Orb, of course, but it's still worth a King's ransom in 2017, and it will certainly hold power in 500AD, though it's common enough to be used as a particularly grandiose decoration.

The Legendary Metals were created by Sarimanok as a boon from Heatran itself. No one knows what favor the King performed to earn such a reward. Only the King himself could create the metal using an infusion of Earthpower and metallurgical techniques now lost to the ages. It is known he had to be sitting in the Throne to perform this miracle.

This is a truly incredible find, but it may raise some ethical questions.

Heart has found:
-an early compass, which is a glass sphere the size of his fist containing a magnet and amber housings. Value 2017: $4000. Value 500AD: $1000.
-a saddle for a Large Pokemon, with gold laced into it. Value 2017: $1000.
-two Potions in gourds. Value 2017: 0$, not believable.
-one dose of Honey in a clay jar. This stuff will keep forever.
-one fitted whitish Apricorn that can hold a willing Pokemon. You could use this to recover a Pokeball by swapping a member of your team, or you could use it to hold a Pokemon you've recruited with Empathy. It has a 'magic crystal' which is clearly Meteoric Superconductor.

Instead of simply sicking his sereph to be on the metallic fae ASAP, however, he opted to call out to them. A more pacifistic/friendly first impression would most likely do more to endear them to the idea of becoming his partner, rather than promptly mulching them for an easier capture.

Of course, his track record for Pokemon Diplomacy was notoriously poor, but hey, never know it'll work until you try, right? Or so he hopes...

"Mawile? Mawhile? Come out, please. Don't want to Fight you now, unless that is what you.....would like to do. Want to be your friend. Have lots of tasty food to share, too, so......don't be shy."

Order: Since Mawile is a naturally Disobedient Pokemon that also has something mysterious about it, I'm going to try and get them to open up to Terra first by having him just being nice/generous to them. Failing that (as in they try to run away), he'll motion to Angie to Dig after and cut them off. Here's hoping for friendship with the Fairy soon enough, rather than immediately resorting to a slugfeast!

Mawile spins around, displaying colossal iron jaws! -1 Str for Angie and Terra. While you are flinching, Mawile advances hungrily, jaws first. While it is thus engaged in walking backward, the main body of the Pokemon is busily picking grass seeds and stuffing them into its mouth. It seems SUPER hungry. The steel horns sniff at Terra, searching for that food. It's going to take more than a light snack to mollify this Pokemon.
