[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

I can help you battle the Marowak, Mika.  That's one option.  Given that I have more than enough pokemon as it is, I'm willing to let you have priority for catching A-Maro (if Spira doesn't know what type A-Maro is, Nathan can also inform him)

I can jump back in to help Farfetch'd, which is a totally IC thing that Nathan would do.  @Lord Windos, time to discuss this as well!  (Personally, I wouldn't mind having Nathan take Farfetch'd under his wing afterwards, either)  Nathan or Terra can probably do it solo, but there is also the option to tag team it.

I could also jump in and help with Hitmonlee if Windos goes for Farfetch'd and if you think you can handle the Maro, Mika.

I'm not really super interested in the items or battling any of the soldiers/generals, tbh.

I personally would prefer going after Farfetch'd on my own, as Spira said they could use the help with all those skullduggery Pokemon, and I rather not have to split XP up too much between us all. I'd go after the Supplies normally, but that wouldn't be a heoric thing to do, it would force Nathan to go help the little ducky, and whatever challenges await in ??? Difficulty would probably be quite interesting to go up against.

Also, heading out to town on errands again soon. Won't be back for maybe a couple of hours, so if no one has any objections then Terra will just take the Farfetch'd Encounter after seeing the bird in distress, and avowing to himself that if he can't find and save his friends right now, he'll be darned and knitted if he's going to let an innocent duckie get turned into mush on his watch!
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.

Very well then.  A-Maro it is!

@Mikaruge108, I assume we'll be battling the Marowak right away, yes?  If we are, which pokemon do you intend to use in the battle?  You can give orders to up to 2 pokemon without any difficulty.  Trying to order around 3+ is difficult and requires you to get 2+ successes on an Insight check to do so successfully (otherwise bad stuff can happen in the confusion).

The version he used in his Gym training classes was the 4th Edition (covered through Gen 4), and the 6th edition was the newest version when he left for Creshire. Here was the first mention of the book. (as well as a look at Spira's...interesting... sense of humor.) And Shiva did see the book once, (somewhere around here) although whether or not she saw the title then is up to you.

I hope to see more of that 'interesting' sense of humor. ^^ I'd assume she did saw the title as it can be used as a conversation starter to get to know one another more/to use it as a soft-common ground, thank you for the granted opportunity!~

Guess we're ready for Encounters to start then, @Iron.

I plan to use Nubi/Misdreavus and/or Luna/Drifloon. And sure let's get to that battle.

Uh.....Phantom, part of the reason I made it so that Terra couldn't find anyone was so that he could take the Farfetch'd without being worried about everyone else's saftey. Otherwise, he'd focus on them to the exclusion of all else, and probably leave the duckie to die in linue of safeguarding the group. He'd also be rather......displeased with Shiva throwing herself headlong into danger in a scenario like THAT, and probably do everything within his power to dissaude her of the idea, short of outright man handling them to prevent her from joining into the battle (Since that would be overly interfering with your IC Choice of Encounter).

So I'm either going to have Terra find himself AWAY from Shiva so that she doesn't bump into him to prevent the above reactions (middle best option, since he wouldn't have to know what she did, and even if he did learned he could be too mad at her for handling that situation well), or treat that scene as if it occurred before the group was swallowed up by the chaos of WAR (Worst option, since he'd end up pissed at Shiva for her 'not-good' recklessness). The best options would be if that exchange didn't take place in the first place, as that way Terra's not ignoring Shiva/being put out of her reach, and he doesn't have a reason to ignore Farfetch'd and get overly defensive over Shiva's choice.

Now, I got to head out right now, so I can't respond anymore, but the default course of action as of now for Terra is that he isn't around Shiva to have that exchange with her, to prevent unnecessary drama, IC conflict, and time wasting. Sorry, but its for the best dear.....

Oh... Well, eh, @Lord Windos, I didn't know and practically couldn't know that you on purpose had him not find everyonelse, thought it'd be interesting to see her actually voicing her desire to engage in fighting this time instead of the usual inner monologue. But thanks for explaining, will edit things accordingly in the means of it remains all in her thoughts.
EDIT: Done.

Now then, while I know that it's Terra's duty to keep everyone safe and take extraordinarily good care of Shiva in the means of 'nothing happens to her, or else he'll be fed to Apsis', it does have a slightly bitter aftertaste in this particular case: Doesn't Terra trust her (yet?) enough to let her handle things directly if that's what she desires even if it comes with a risk? It looks to like that's the case, which is...saddening, to be very honest. ( ._.) I wish to work towards him trusting her and him as the tough and experienced fighter to acknowledge her skills in the long shot, even if these don't lie in the field of fighting especially.

Honestly, I kinda agree with Phantom on this one, Windos.  It's nice that Terra is taking the assignment from Ventus seriously and all, but...it does feel like Terra is overdoing it a little. With regards to the entire group, though, imo.  Our characters are all fairly capable, after all. Taking your job a little too seriously is something that is possible.

Of course, imo, being in the middle of a war zone is probably a good demonstration of just how capable our characters are...or aren't, if worst comes to worst.

I agree with Phantom in this case Windos. Shiva be feeling overshadowed by our characters, and this battlefield, despite dangerous, its her chance to prove herself she can be strong too. I think she is strong, but its a test for herself. Go get them Phantom :3

Well, these nasty feelings of being overshadowed alleviated over the time without ever completely disappearing, how she managed to win in every Gym so far she engaged in is a fine proof of how capable she actually is in the art of Pokemon Battles when she wants to be or when there's something on stake. She's simply more of a quiet person who does not shout things from the rooftop?
