Trust me, I have experience with pokemon who bite, heh. You should how me, Shiva and Nathan meet at the first time. Koa when he was a Axew, he bite some couple of times in my nose. Thanks godness those days is behind." Heart apologize about the Delta thing. "Heh, I sorry. I get excited when I talk about Delta Pokemon or any kind of rare pokemon. Yeah, pretty cool indeed." Heart than make a sly smile. "Wait until you see D-Onix become a big and strong D-Steelix. Steel/Flying its a rare and awesome combination!"

The Deoxys light is indeed alluring. Each clone has a dull gem, which only lights up to communicate with the central Deoxys intelligence. That core Deoxys is rooted to the shining crater now (in Defense Forme), glittering with superconductor. The true Deoxys' gem is shooting thin beams of every color and blinking very rapidly. Terra feels he is close to understanding them somehow... he senses some sort of Protocol in those blinkings, like an introductory handshake identifying speaker and listener, and a Conduit transferring energy...like a sort of tube, to Terra's mind...he senses a Directive, a quest, a set of instructions which the Deoxys virus feels compelled to fulfill, curiosity and organization filling its psychic mind...a Heuristic, a living discipline providing answers to any behavioral question Deoxys might encounter...Terra's glimpse into the mind of Deoxys flickers between concepts his simple mind can understand and concepts that are as alien to him as, well, an actual alien! But he is so, so close to understanding.

He does get these basic points:

-Deoxys is in exploratory mission mode. Everything it's doing right now is designed to learn about its new environment and eventually adapt to it or control it. Any destruction it wreaks will NOT be random.
-Deoxys has no fear right now. You don't think anything currently on the planet would really harm Deoxys much. But clearly, someone/something eventually dealt with the problem.
-The Deoxys clones won't be treated as a Legendary - they can be harmed by ordinary means, though of course they'll have good stats.

And Deoxys...Deoxys plucks something from your mind as well. The laser pattern changes when you become hypnotized, matches the beat of your mind and heart momentarily. He gives you a Gift in return. You can feel it in the core of your mind, you can prod it with your thoughts...but doing so makes you very uncomfortable.

The central Deoxys lifts its head! The sinuous neck swivels, looking...looking for you! It shifts to lanky Speed Forme.

Everyone needs two successes on a Stealth roll as they hide in the cave. Terra needs three. Spira gets +1 dice for being farther away, but if spotted he'll be in much bigger trouble.

Spira: (1)(4)(3)(1)(2)(4) (4) Spira feels the gaze of Deoxys slide right over where he's crouching. It has definitely seen the Magcargo. The lead Magcargo looks puzzled, then ceases to go eastward. It looks like the snail Pokemon has been psychically leashed to this place.
Nathan: (4)(5)(6)(3)(2)(6) (3)(1)(1)(3)(3) Nathan has easily slipped into the cave before time runs out.
Heart: (6)(2)(5)(3)(1)(3) (1)(4)(5)(6) The self-proclaimed stealthy member of the group and the one who suggested hiding in the cave. Heart, you feel less drawn to Deoxys than the others because of your affinity with Ghost types.
Shiva: (4)(6)(2)(6)(6)(1) (2)(6)(4)(4) That settles it, you're all far enough away from Deoxys to escape his physical gaze. His clones begin looking for you though!

LURCH

The Lurch begins. Eevee has been registered, so he's coming along with Shiva. The only new thread you see right now is leading to Deoxys itself! The alien Pokemon seems unaware of the Lurch and the threads, but you're positive it remembers the psychic taste of your human presence in a wasteland occupied only by bestial Pokemon.

As Terra is drawn out of time by the silver threads, the weight of what he has witnessed settles on him. From now on, Terra is More Than Human. Sensitive souls in 2017 will be able to detect how OLD he is - he has the spirit of ten thousand years inside him, he is a soul who has personally witnessed some of the most important events of Creshire's long history in the flesh!

Terra may one day learn to surpass human limits of defense. (He's unlocked the potential for a sixth point of Vitality).

Nathan shoves the thread off of Deoxys, ensuring it won't come along. It doesn't react.


LURCH

You go lurching back in time, to another meteor impact. Your cave is nothing but a level plain in this time, and you fall ever so slowly as you leave the timeless void. You drift...


The planet soars through a meteor shower. Gothitelle gestures lazily, and a comet is revealed in the heavens as we all pass through its tail. It's the same comet from Deoxys' meteor. A stone detaches from the golden star and blazes through the atmosphere. It falls violently to earth as you drift...

A little yellow star-shaped head appears from the crater, shaking superconductor from its pixie face. It looks out at a world of stone and gives a little grin. The Pokemon soars upward, revealing a white body and small golden wings. It closes its eyes and you see its lips moving. Then it makes a dramatic gesture upwards, and hundreds of little wispy slips go flapping into the wind. Wherever they strike stone, something changes - perhaps a tuft of soft grass grows, or a freshwater spring appears. Stoney shapes lurk in the distance, including the recognizable silhouette of Tyrantrum and other monstrously-sized ancient Pokemon. Some of them reach out for a slip with hands or jaws. When they touch them, some change is made to their body, too - they may shift colors or grow or change their behavior slightly. 

The comet in the sky changes orbit at Jirachi's will, becoming more circular. Now...it is bound to return and cross paths with earth, shedding stones it has gathered in its travels and influencing the gravity of other celestial bodies. 

Already, the PTC starts blinking quickly. The party is a few yards from their feet touching the earth, drifting slowly in a shower of little papery slips. They're all different colors and have pictograms on them.

All around you, the ancient Pokemon are receiving gifts - new types, new environs, new abilities. And when you and your Pokemon reach out to claim wishes of your own, you become something more than you were as well. Here at the start of the Millennium Comet cycle, you and your Pokemon partake in the blessing of specialization, of renewal, which marks the first major meteor event beginning the thousand year cycle.

Terra, the Steel types currently in your party gain 1 Happiness and Loyalty. Any Pokemon under your control will permanently have the effects of a Metal Coat without needing to hold the item. (does not stack with items). Steel types will appear more frequently in the wild. Your eyes take on a steely glint. You gain another layer of More Than Human.

Calam gains Fairy as a third type. This can be removed in the same way as Trick-Or-Treat, but it's otherwise permanent. He gains 1 Happiness and Loyalty. You may also choose a Fairy-type move for him right now - if this unlocks some awesome combo, get GM approval first. When Calam is out, Fairy types will appear more frequently in the wild. Calam's affinity for Earthpower increases.

Heart, the Fire types currently in your party gain 1 Happiness and Loyalty. Any Pokemon under your control will permanently have the effects of a Charcoal without needing to hold the item. (does not stack with items). Fire types will appear more frequently in the wild. Your eyes now burn with embers. You gain another layer of More Than Human.

Toya gains Fighting as a second type. This can be removed in the same way as Trick-Or-Treat, but it's otherwise permanent. He gains 1 Happiness and Loyalty. You may also choose a Fighting-type move for him right now - if this unlocks some awesome combo, get GM approval first. When Toya is out, Fighting types will appear more frequently in the wild. Toya's affinity for Earthpower increases.

Cottonee gains a +1 Strength surprise. Her Happiness and Loyalty are already maxed out, so she gains 20XP instead. You may choose a damaging move for her right now. If it has a strong secondary effect, get GM approval first. When Cottonee assists in a Pokemon capture, there is a chance the new Pokemon will gain a Strength surprise as well. Cottonee's affinity for Earthpower increases.

Jirachi seems to be immune to the threads in a way Deoxys was not. However, there are threads linking to Shieldon, Bastiodon, and a strange little lizardlike Pokemon you're not familiar with.

Awe, admiration and a strong feel of blessing was what Shiva felt as they all got lurched to the event of what seemed to be the impact of the elusive Millenium Comet on the planet, confirmed to her when mythical Jirachi itself curiously peeked from the crater. Yes, Shiva was aware of the lore of the comet linked to its power, has read much about this astrological event with interest but has never had the chance to visit a Millenium Festival, least of all even seeing the comet in person.

Now that this unconscious and secret wish of her has been granted by dear Celebi, her thankfulness and trust in the faelike mythic received another boost. It was an incredibly beautiful sight to witness the Wishmaker Pokemon itself restoring the surrounding and changing things for good... Being here, alongside the others of the group and her loyal gothloli fortune teller while being in a literal shower of countless small paper slips, was an indescribable and simply wonderful experience that Shiva savoured with her full mind and all her senses - she loved this. Her Almanac probably registers Jirachi at this moment as a seen Pokemon.


One particular, unremarkably whitish paper slip caught her attention as it was almost on purpose flapping towards her, a few moments before it would land in Shiva's cupped hand however Cottonee summoned herself from her Ball and the whitish paper slip accurately landed on the fluffball's forehead covered in a soft tuft of cotton. Shiva wasn't able to read the pictogram on the slip, but when Cottonee herself landed in her arms a wave of power washed over her, it caused a tickling sensation running up her arms before it procceeded to flood her whole body with a never-before-seen flash of energy. It felt like her Startermon's cotton was charged with strength now, all of a sudden Shiva KNEW what the pictogram on the slip most likely meant. It caused her to pull Cottonee closer to herself in a hug, she gladly reciprocated this affection.

This wasn't all however, as a few moments later Cottonee began to glow in a crimson light, despite it looked rather ominous it gave Shiva a weirdly warm and comfortable feeling. The glow became stronger and stronger...!! As it reached its peak Shiva, Lilith and Cottonee found themselves engulfed in a pitchblack and purplish wave, faintly there were even some tiny shiny dots visible here and there like stars. Lilith pointed to them, tried to grab them but they disappeared a moment before the touch.

Cottonee has learned how to use Night Daze, the signature move of Zorua and Zoroark. Shiva recognizes it as this move almost immediately, causing her to strengthen the embrace with her most dear fluffball - it didn't need a spoken 'I love you' to express her feelings of appreciation to this small wad of cotton.
