I really like lifestealing moves that heal the user upon succeeding, so I'd go for Drain Punch as well.

A little question @Iron: Is that gifts give some sort of alteration in appearance? Nothing radical, but some sort of...mark or scar in the body after such event? A mark of fire, eyes with metal look, etc.

Had I known more about the details of what would have happened, I'd probably choose Shiranui -Steel or Lapis -  Ground. Shiranui really would have liked bring part Steel with Bullet Punch / Shift Gear , while Water Ground is just good offensive and defensive typing. Hm...or Flying Angie with Skyfall, but that is sorta a waste on her.

Then the breaks I guess.....hindsight really I'd 20/20 .

I know the feeling man. I was thinking before in make Rose take the Dragon choice, but I decided to take the Fire wish. Imagine a more dragon like Infernape. But I guess we all need to live with that.

I suppose the choices is permanent right @Iron?

I just realized something interesting....if all of Terra's Pokemon are under the effects of Steel C oat, does that mean if he caught an D-Onix and/or a Scythe and he trades it, will they evolve?

By no Item stacking, you mean t hat it doesn't stack with another Steel Coat or clone thereof, or it doesn't stack with ANY items?

Ground wasn't on the list, actually.  Neither were Rock, Normal, and Dark.  Jirachi was likely the trigger for the increased diversity in wildlife after the meteor impact, as Dark, Normal, Ground, and Rock were the four most common types in that time period.

I was considering selecting Dex for Nathan, but I was uncertain if the effect would have only applied to Nathan due to the nature of it being a Surprise, or if it would have been usable by all of his pokemon.

In the end, I ended up choosing a typing for flavoring purposes.  I've always thought of Absol as dark angels of sorts since the reveal of its Mega, so I think the Fairy typing is fitting.

Question, @Iron: does the Fairy move I pick for Calam have to be one that's listed in the book? (my assumption is yes, but clarification never hurts)

And is it possible I could also get a slightly more detailed description of the strange, lizardlike pokemon?

EDIT: And while I'm thinking about it, how many Shieldon and Bastiodon are linked via threads? 1 of each, or are there more?

Iron did say in the game thread that Terra's eyes have a steely glint now, and Heart's eyes burn with embers.  Probably not noticeable unless someone is paying reaaaalllly close attention.

I'm kinda curious if there's any kind of physical indication of the Surprises the pokemon all got, though, tbh.

On another note entirely, could you have Nathan bring those Pokemon in the past to the future? If nothing else they'd be more fossil Pokemon for him to collect , and if there's the chance Terra would like to get his hands on one...
